I came in about a month ago. I was on a girls trip and we all wanted piercings. Melissa was extremely knowledgeable on the different piercings. I ended up getting a conch piercing, my friends each got poked on both of their ears. We were all extremely happy with the work done. She was SUPER SANITARY, gave clear instructions on cleaning and warned us about the length of time it took to go to pool and beach afterwards. My only complaint is that they don't have 20 gauge needles or jewelry. I wanted some additional work done but because they didn't have the supplies I couldn't get the other piercings I wanted.

This was the tattoo from tattoo emporium.

On god the rudest tattoo artists I've ever been to. The whole time the guy talked to me like I was a child. I have 7 tattoos and he kept telling me that he didn't want to do the tattoo I wanted because it was "too hard" like really? I wanted it a little smaller and he told me that it was fucking hard and going to look like shit. I wanted a tattoo in my language and he kept saying no one was going to be able to pronounce it. ITS NOT YOUR FUCKING TATTOO! This guy needs a serious reality check. An update. Save you're money and go to tattoo emporium on the square. They were able to do it the exact size I wanted

They don't have an option for 0 stars. Me and my friend went to get tattoos from here and we ended up getting different artists mine turned out great and hers looks nothing like the picture she used as a reference. Her artists name was Jason he was falling asleep as he was tattooing her.

The long tunnels compared to a 4g taper.

Unfriendly and untrustworthy. When we walked in, it didn't seem like anyone was in the shop at all. After someone greeted us, we said we wanted to buy some gauge tunnels, the guy said he absolutely couldn't sell us a pair and that was the piercers job, fair I guess. The only thing is the piercer didn't know what size any of the tunnels or plugs were. I asked for a 0g in these weirdly long tunnels, and she ended up giving me a 4g (at best), two sizes smaller than I had asked. Unfortunately, I trusted her word and now all that work to get to a 0 was wasted. Don't trust the piercer.

I came here to get my 3rd earlobe hole pierced and my conch. i already had my first second and fourth holes pierced. They did unpackage the needle in front of me and worked with me on placement, but besides that it's like the lady just stuck the needle through my ear without even considering the angle. The third hole is very close to my second hole, which I can work with. However, my conch hoop is literally TOUCHING the back of my 4th piercing. This raises a lot of concern for me, as I am worried that the two holes could combine into one. I would never recommend going to this place for any reason. - a very unhappy customer.

Brian, smooth work, clean. Tribal Spade.

Decent shop, as I also frequent Classic Tattoo just up the street who are always too busy for some quick ink. Pro. Brian is an awesome artist, smooth touch and quick. Clean lines and great attitude. Cons. Saran wrap for tattoo cover afterwards versus a sanitary cover and securing with tape. Blood oozed out from under the wrap in about 2 minutes. Maybe get some non stick bandages like other shops and the it would be great.

I came to Daniel to get a vertical labret a few years ago, and after he approved that I have the right anatomy, he talked me out of it after noticing I have a habit of chewing my lips. I cannot explain enough how grateful I am for that, and he explained that I could possibly hurt myself and even mess with the piercing as it heals, and cause it to migrate. We ended up doing my second lobes instead and the experience was extremely quick and easy, and probably the most pleasant piercings I've had done in my life. I just saw Evette today, as I was having a bit of a piercing emergency. A month ago, I had my third lobes done at a different studio and that piercer used these rubber/silicone backings instead of the standard flat backs, and had them shoved so far up the piercing my ear had no room to heal or swell properly. After 4 weeks of agony (even compared to a blackout sleeve and nipple piercings), I came to One and Only today to see about getting these changed out. Evette managed to pry the balls off, and I mean they were on so tight that at some point she had to yoink that shit off like King Arthur, and after about 45 minutes of working on them both of the bad, old piercings were off and I felt comfort for the first time in a month. This whole time she explained what she was doing, and was extremely sweet, professional and empathetic. Her daughter (I believe her name was Emily) was with her training and I don't know if I could've gone through that experience with anyone different. Ultimately, we couldn't save one of the piercings as the pressure wound was so bad Evette did not feel comfortable with the risk of putting another earring in. (pics of the wound below, trigger warning as it is gnarly) I was given very clear and explicit instructions on after care and invited to come back to repierce it once the area is completely healed. Evette and Daniel are both honest, and it's so so clear that they care and have a passion for the people they work with, as well as the art of piercing. They could've easily sold me a vertical labret and a second piercing, but they cared for my well being more than the money they could've easily got out of me. This level of honesty and integrity is something I have yet to come across again in the industry. I don't think I'll visit another piercer again as long as these two are in business. Evette and Daniel, thank you. Yall are angels

"Looking better coming out than you came in"…read more I have had my snake bites done twice by two other different piercers. Dave was by far significantly better than both. It was painless, NO swelling which is unheard of, and fantastic placement. The aftercare was thorough and detailed which was different than the others. I actually know how to take care of it now! Keep in mind, if you want a piercing and he thinks it would look wonky, he will let you know as a professional if it would not be complimentary to your face. He was honest about how the piercing would look the way I wanted it which was appreciated though disregarded (I wanted them more towards the outside of my lips rather than more inward). I don't get the attitude issues that other customers have, but personally I would take a grumpy piercer (which he was not) that knows what they're doing and gives me the best quality piercing ANY DAY over an overly bubbly and nice incompetent piercer that will have my piercing reject (wasting my time and money), be very painful, or heal improperly. I will recommend this dude for piercings forever and ever. Badass playlist too. I was raised in atx and around the punk rock community a lot, the place has that vibe to it. It's professional but also had that rock and roll essence to it. I wouldn't go to a piercing shop that didn't have that authentic culture in it, especially if my piercer didn't have piercings of their own. It's a good sign. If those type of people and places make you uncomfortable, bear it. You're getting metal in your face, those are the people you want doing that. Trust. 10/10.

Let me explain: I came into Onyx Tattoo in New Braunfels looking for my son who waited until he was 18 to get a tattoo. As a parent this made me proud bc so many youths today don't have the patience to wait. I thought it would be a good experience for him and I to get one together. So after much research I landed on Onyx Tattoo. I met with two different artists, Ray and the owner, Jay. I want to emphasize the word ARTIST. Because that is exactly what they are. I gave them each an idea for a Christian project for my son and one for myself. I found some examples online and they said, great, I got an idea of what you want, I'll make it my own. That's exactly what they did. They each spent hours drawing and designing a one of a kind tattoo that blew our expectations away. When we arrived at our appointment they were excited to see us, they greeted us in a very friendly and professional manner, and the shop is so clean and organized. You felt like you were in an artist studio that had been meticulously sanitized. Each of our tattoos took the entire day to complete. During the experience, there was great conversation, some laughs, and just felt like this is the place I want to get work done in the future. I'm already planning on fixing/finishing another piece that another tattoo artist started but never completed years before. As I have gotten older, I've grown more picky about tattoos and what they mean. In my opinion, anyone in the Austin, San Antonio or New Braunfels market should come to this studio. You will find some of the nicest artists who are genuine people who love what they do. There is no better studio around. The work Jay and Ray did for my son and I was nothing short of fabulous. I want to give a shoutout to Vivo and the other artist there as well. I would trust either of them to do work for me as well. Best experience EVER! Remember folks, cheap tattoos aren't good, and good tattoos aren't cheap. However, I would say that their value is actually underrated. These same tattoos would have cost more in comparison to S. Congress in Austin. I got an incredible value and an amazing piece of art to remind me always of my faith.

No cards. Theo, the tattoo artist, was really cool and nice! As a person, and even as a professional, he was very personable. However, my tattoo didn't come out symmetrical. Lines weren't straight, and the image looked slightly different on one side compared to the other. I came in with the tattoo, printed out (so perfectly straight and symmetrical), they made a trace; it was VERY simple. They put on a stencil and everything, but for some reason it didn't come out perfect. Given that all he needed to do was trace and fill on a simple area of the body (back of neck/back), I found this unacceptable. Theo has no problem touching up tattoos for free, but given that he didn't get this simple thing right the first time, I don't have any confidence that he can fix it a second time. I'll be going somewhere else to hopefully have my tattoo evened out without leading to too much distortion of the original image. I suggest going somewhere else EVEN for a simple tattoo, unfortunately. I thought mine was too simple to mess up for an experienced artist. I was wrong. However, if you ARE interested in a friendly person, talented illustrator (maybe not tattoo-er), and are strapped for cash (this cost $40.00), Theo would be a decent place to try your luck. I can't in good conscience give anything above 1 star because this was simply too easy to have received anything less than perfection. Parking was an absolute nightmare so I would recommend taking a rideshare to get to this location.    When someone talks about tattoo shops in Austin, All Saints is definitely one of those mentioned almost every time. The tattoo/piercing shop has wonderful reviews and a ton of happy patrons. The vibe in this space is very lowkey and homey. We were the first ones in for the day.   My best friend and I wanted to get complementary tattoos. We only wanted three words in Seagram each with my best friend getting hers in black and me getting mine in red. We were told it would cost extra for red ink. Fine.   After the woman working the front took the stencil print-outs to the artists, she came back and quoted us $200 each. What? We were shocked. I knew the tattoo wouldn't take more than 20-30 minutes and did not understand how my friend was quoted the same as me if "red is extra." Thus, I came to my own conclusion that pricing is completely random and up to the artist. I guess it's a game of luck?   That being said, Carlos did a wonderful job on my tattoo and Hannah did a great job on my friend's. Carlos and I had a lot to talk about as we were raised in the same city and he went to my highschool while I was also in attendance. Wild stuff!   Still, for what we got, I wouldn't have paid more than $150 + tip for this tattoo. There needs to be a length requirement or some rules and regulations for pricing (I know this is not easy). Just know you're getting very talented artists when you walk-in!   Bring your wallet!

The environment is clean and welcoming and during the piercing process they are communicative, and I love that when you lay back theres cat pictures taped to the ceiling to comfort you through the pain. For the quality of the service, their prices are very reasonable and they have many many jewelry options and are happy to recommend other options that will work for you if they arent carrying something specific youre looking for. Unfortunately, I have had a negative expirience with one of the piercers. Pineapple, Jade, and Mercedes have all pierced me at different points. Around 3 years ago Mercedes pierced my verticle labret, and it turned out beautiful. Unfortunately I had to take it out because of a surgery after a few months, and once I recovered and wanted to get it repierced I went back. This time Travis pierced it, and I did not agree with his personality very much, as I felt he made some kind of targeted comments at my preferred jewelry and piercing placement, and he also was a little rude when we were having a conversation regarding the circumstances of my surgery. Since there was a scar showing the placement of my previous piercing, I trusted the results would be similiar, but after seeing the markings and thinking they looked good, the piercing happened and it felt a little off. Originally he tried to give me a piece of jewelry for the healing that was comically oversized, and when I said that I would like a smaller size, he acted as if it was a silly request. But truly, my lip was not going to swell to double its normal size because of a repiercing. I signed a form, got the smaller jewelry, and figured I would downsize when it was appropriate and hopefully I wouldnt feel like the placement was weird, but after the piercing had healed and I went to get it downsized, he revealed that no jewelry would fit the way I wanted because there werent any small enough piercings unless I had one custom made. I couldnt afford that so I just accepted it, until this year when I started disliking it so much I decided id rather not have the piercing than have the weirdly placed one, so I took it out. I know the difference might look kind of minimal, but it really drove me crazy to feel the piercing wiggling around so much, and not be able to afford jewelry I would like because it was not within standard sizes. For a while I blamed my anatomy, but a few weeks ago I realized maybe my lips arent weirdly shaped and my prefered placement should be possible, so I got it repierced elsewhere. Now that it is healed (or at least no longer swollen), I can confidently say that Travis messed up with the piercing placement, and acted quite unprofessionally in my opinion. I am comfortably wearing a size piercing that I think is third from the smallest standard size, and it fits exactly how I want. I will attach a photo with a comparison of the piercing i got from travis and my current piercing. (in the top pictures I am wearing a 16g, 1/4 inch piercing, and in the bottom pictures I am wearing a 16g, 3/8 inch piercing.) I cannot recommend the other piercers enough, and I hope to return here for many future jobs, but I would like to recognize this expirience in my review because it was an upsetting expirience that cost me time and money.
