I asked for bow in and stbd side to and that's what we got. A nice clean facility, including heads and showers. Friendly folks on the docks. An easy enough walk to town. I needed a fuel pump replaced which service handled competently within a few hours (I had the spare with me). Would surely go back.

The RR swing bridge opens on demand -hail channel 13 -- but the Highway bridge -also hail "Mystic Rt 1 hway Bridge on 13- opens only 40 minutes after the hour so plan accordingly. Mariners searching for a place to put in should call in advance for availability. It is a decent sized yard with fuel, ice and a clean swimming pool. On the east side if the river it is a half mile from the Mystic train station and about that distance from a gas station and pizza place. If you take your dinghy up the river there is a dinghy dock just south of the Route one bridge and you can head into town. There are a couple of ice cream paroles, a toy store, casual and expensive restaurants and wonderful clothing and gift shops. Check out the galleries! The gem of the Mystic River is Mystic Seaport. You can arrive by dinghy and put her in north of the north dock which is past the lighthouse on the bend of the river. Brewers is a wonderful spot to venture to by boat and take in all Mystic has to offer. If casinos is your thing you probably could get a cab. The yard also can do repairs. Grills, laundry and clean showers are available. Wifi is available also and you can ask about pump outs. There is a ump out service on the river. Seatow also operates nearby. The marina is quiet and the boaters are respectful. It is not a party marina like some in Newport. Great for families. My favorite restaurants: Kitchen Little for breakfast (by dinghy). Marguerites for Mexican, Angie's for pizza and Italian take out ( they deliver), Oyster Company, S&P Oyster for the view of the river, Drawbridge Ice Cream for dessert!

If you go, try to sit at the back or in the middle of the boat. We sat at the front and struggled to see what was being talked about. It was a great length of time at 75 mins and parking was easy in the parking garage. If you are looking for something different where you can walk away relaxed and more knowledgeable, take the tour! You won't be disappointed!

Made a resrvation specifically asking for a port side tie up to launch the dinghy which is on the…read morestarboard bow. When we arrived at B10 there was no room to launch the dinghy. The fuse on the box was broken so there was no electrical. The office was locked so we waited until after 10 for someone to show up. There were empty slips on the floating docks but were told they were full and the dockmaster wouldn't be in until 2. We tried another post but the connection was broken. At this point we were fed up and got ready to leave. I went to find the dock person but the office was locked and she was no where to be found. I called and spoke to Sara and said were were leaving and if billed would dispute the charge. When drove up at 6 to meet friends on another dock there were 12 slips empty. This is the second time this has happened at this marina. We will no longer give them or any other marina they are associated with our business.

Some are friendly and welcoming, while others come across as rigid or uninterested, especially when it comes to enforcing rules or handling questions about pricing. The owner proceeded to raise his voice that the two other people in our group needed to do the paperwork but we were already half way done. There is four of us in our group so it took some time for us. The owner then got pissed off and said in a rude manor that we needed to be back on time since other people were renting the car. How rude of the owner while all his workers were so kind to us. Especially on the 4th of July. We were back on time but shame on the owner for having a disgusting disrespectful attitude like that. WE WERE ON TIME NOT HIM. we enjoyed our ride.

Yes, it is technically on a bay, but it's salt water, there are sea shells and sea glass, and considering my dog is two feet tall and hats the water, this is an ocean beach (for him). I will die on this hill. Williams Beach is adjacent to the YMCA and like, three giant steps from their parking lot. It does seem the internet got it right that the beach is without life guard after Labor Day, and there is signage asking dogs to stay off the sand and out of the water. There are also "park" areas, I assume owned by the YMCA, including but not limited to, a volleyball court, playground, and baseball fields. Picnic tables are plentiful. It was nice and quiet in the middle of September on a weekday, although it must be packed in the summer. It was pretty clean, although any litter I saw was definitely from irresponsible humans and not the inexplicably banned dogs.

The owner even asked our opinion on stocking the shelves with additional items which showed she cared what her clientele wanted. We purchased a couple of items and went on our merry way. I think this place has huge potential and expanding some of the offerings will make this place a go to stop for us for not only our own collection but for gifts as well.

The Mystic River Cruise with Captain Eric was just truly delightful. It ended up just being three of us on the boat (my and my two best friends). Captain Eric was friendly and accommodating, helping us to prepare our snacks and wine. :) The boat was clean and beautiful -- he let us sit on the bow and enjoy the evening views and weather. The staff was extremely helpful on catching fish. If your technique is wrong, they will help you with your technique so you can be successful on the charter.
