My daughter and I had an absolute blast piloting the boat, and once we got over the fear factor that we were going "too fast" and gained confidence in piloting the boat for the first time, it felt like second nature. We did the 3 hour Mystic River tour which ended with a "free sail" hour at the end. However, we opted not to go out into the Sound due to heavily windy conditions, so we stayed in the channel in the "playground" area doing donuts and figure-eights. Before we knew it the 3 hours was up. Rob was a great host and he taught us how to pilot the boats in no time. He was also very knowledgeable of the Mystic seaport area. We had a great time and will absolutely be making this a regular part of our yearly Mystic trips!

The reviews were all highly praising and it looked like a fun experience. I have to say: don't hesitate! Book them! Rob was a pro guide and made sure we understood how to operate our boat safely and how to get the most fun out of it. Yes, there are safety things that you need to be aware of, but he was very encouraging of us trying out what the boat can do. We loved getting to do donuts in our boat! The tour itself was very informative, and we really got a feel for the area. We're already looking forward to returning for another season with a full group of friends to rent out all the boats. This is a must-do activity when visiting Mystic. Be sure to arrive on time as requested so that you can be briefed on the safety. That is so important, and that is why they tell you in advance that you will be turned away if you are late to the safety briefing. For those of you who may be wondering, there is ample parking, and it was about a 15-20 minute drive with traffic from downtown Mystic. Again, a huge thank you to Rob for being an awesome guide and helping us have the best experience possible for my husband's birthday surprise. Hope to see you again soon!

Erick, Hannah and Christian took 8 of us out…read moresailing for several hours on the schooner Bonnie Lynn, and it made for the most memorable, vibrant and relaxing time. Bonnie Lynn is an incredible boat, with Erick and Hannah the perfect hosts. I can't think of a better way to introduce people to, and share with them, the beauty of the North Fork. We cannot wait for next time, and neither should you.

The boat seems a bit old but solid. I will echo what many have said about the food onboard. We didn't have any. Also no drinks for us. It was rough seas so not sure how they would settle. We did not see one whale in 4 hours. I know it is not the guys on the boat's fault but it was a bummer. Riding around on the boat for 4 hours hot old after the first 2. We left a little disappointed.

As the date got closer, I found it odd I hadn't heard from the company to make arrangements/finalize details. I reached out a few times and they didn't respond. It wasn't until a few days before the scheduled trip that the manager (owner?), Brian Cleary, tried to persuade me to cancel because the weather wasn't going to be good. He even had the captain call me to try to convince me to reschedule. I ended up agreeing to postpone the trip. A few days later I reached out to reschedule, and he just never got back to me- calls and emails went unanswered. I ended up having to file a dispute with PayPal to get my money refunded (I did), and just never heard from them again. Looking back, the PayPal payment was to Brian Cleary personally, not the company, which is definitely sketchy. Also, even though they have a decent website, there are no reviews or any other evidence of their existence online. I wish I had checked them out more prior to engaging with them. Even though I got my money back, I easily could have lost it had I given them a check instead of PayPal (which is protected). I'm writing this review as a warning to others to avoid this "company."
