When my regular card shop was closed and it was a 3-day weekend, I found Mystic Snow Trading through a Google search. Finding the entrance was kind of confusing but once you realize where you are in the building, return visits are easy. I came in looking for Chaos Rising boosters and the staff working was incredibly nice, professional, and knowledgeable. Even though I was there for Chaos Rising, I couldn't help myself to browsing through what they had. The options in sets were better than some other local card shops I've seen and either at or slightly below market. I am glad I took the drive to check this place out. MYSTIC SNOW TRADING sells a good variety of Pokemon singles and boxes. The prices are reasonable compared to most competitors. There is plenty of free parking in a shared lot. The card shop is on the 2nd level of the building, and they don't have a sign outside. The employee was very friendly and helpful. She was also very patient with us when we asked a hundred questions. They do tournaments, and it's best to book it ahead of time. They have some trading card vending machines near the entrance. Overall, it's a nice place. read more

I hate to this, but my friend and I were hoping to come here and hope this could be a place we could stop by more often. I love my singles and heard they sell a lot of singles. When I got there the place is nice and had a good selection. The thing that really got me was the service. It was pretty bad. I've never had a person be so rude to me. I've been to card shops and shows and I never had a person come on to me so rude. I asked for prices on some cards and while the lady was checking the prices I was looking for more cards. I then asked to see some more because I kind of have an idea of which cards I'm gonna take and which ones I'm not. She then said to me in not a nice way "Can't you just ask for them all at once." Mind you that no one else is in the store. Just my friend and I. At first I thought it was me that found it rude but as soon as we left my friend also mentioned her attitude was no good. Idk if the lady is the owner, but her attitude was not nice or welcoming. They are also not flexible with their prices and some of the cards were bent, apparently due to fire. She then said to me "PSA will still take the card. You can just flatten the card there's nothing wrong with it." Mind you the card was lifting off the table. Personally if you're shopping for cards there are many other places that will treat you better. read more

What the heck. If you thought you were in the wrong place, you're not. It's a hidden gem tucked away a business complex like most other urbanized card shops are except it's on the second floor. Yup. Really neat space, you'll be greeted with your friendly tcg concierge. They have an okay selection of collectibles/singles on display and it seems they've just opened not too long ago. Really cool place to hang out and battle it out since they did mention they will be hosting competitions there. Really safe location too, if you don't like going out to those far out shops. As a Pokémon aficionado, I had to check out this new, local trading card store. It's located in an obscure office space, which would help explain why I was the only customer there. The collection of cards they offer is also limited, but there is still a good mix of your classics and more recent packs like the Halloween ones. I ended up getting 10 of those BOOster packs and got one free as part of their promotion! Worth checking out, and I hope the business ramps up soon. I've been here at least 2 times now, interacting with the same person (a woman, who I assume is the owner/manager) and each experience has been lackluster. Let me start by saying if you're not looking for this place, you will never find it. It's located in a business park with plenty of parking but unless you are willing to get lost walking around the business park and inside the building, good luck; there is no signage leading you in the right direction. I had to knock on the door to be let into the space and while it is nice and clean, there is no music playing and there were no other customers / players in the store so the vibes are just off. Regardless of this, I took a look at their inventory, which is decent depending on what you're looking for. There is a ton of cards from the sword & shield era and a decent selection of modern Pokemon. Ready for the red flags? Red Flag #1: I chatted with the owner for a few minutes asking if they host Pokemon league nights / events and while it seems like the store is adequately set up for them, I don't ever see people attending and/or talking about this store as a place they choose to go play and I am very involved in the local scene so I know where the players frequently go. The owner asked me for my player ID and I didn't think much of it but months later, I find out they had been reporting me as a monthly player when I have NEVER played there before - HMM, THAT'S INTERESTING! Official Play! Pokemon stores receive promotional materials such as prize packs, dice, promo cards, etc. to provide to their players for participating in their events so they must be still getting these, even if they aren't hosting events like they say they are. Which makes you wonder... what could they be doing with this free promo material they are receiving from The Pokemon Company International? My guess is selling them for a profit but I'll let you be the judge. Red Flag #2: I asked to physically view a few cards from the case and noticed a few of the cards were very off-center so I asked the employee (I'm assuming owner) if they would be willing to be flexible on the prices but got this response: "Why does it matter, it's not like you're trying to grade these, right?" This statement was very off-putting to me - does it matter what I plan to do with this card after I purchase it? What if I just want a clean copy for my binder that isn't 70/30% off-centered? Either way, they did not budge on the price and I left the store empty-handed and disappointed. Visit 2: I called the store ahead of time (around 3PM) to see if they had a card in stock and the owner confirmed it was available. This is during a workday so I decide to drop by the store after work and got there by 5:30PM only to find the store closed. This was another disappointing experience as I had made the drive all the way there and their advertised hours are until 6PM. Visit 3: Needed the card I asked for (see visit 2) before a regional and this was the only store to carry it so I begrudgingly went back to buy it. When I asked the owner about them closing early, she responded with "well, you said you were coming in and didn't show up so I closed early." This was the nail in the coffin for me - I was expecting a simple apology for wasting my time but I guess I should have known better. Their prices for sealed product and singles are slightly inflated over market but the real concern lies within their integrity and customer service. I really hope to see them make a positive change because having more local card stores is always nice but I won't be returning anytime soon. read more

Stumbled upon this spot because my friend was looking for some Pokemon cards. It is a bit hard to find but hopefully this helps someone who is looking. It is located at a commercial office space, in the middle building of the three identical buildings, in between a university and a church. It is a strange location for sure, but completely worth the visit. I am personally a fan of Pokemon plush as I haven't touched the cards since I was young. Walking in here made me feel like a kid in a candy store, because they had a vast majority of cards being displayed, even old ones that I remember when I was younger which definitely brought back all the nostalgia. I ended up only buying a fat Pikachu card because it was cute and inexpensive, but I will definitely be back. The salesperson was helpful and nice, and said that they usually rotate cards so it helps to come in and take a look. Great place for english pokemon cards only! Super quiet and quaint place, very peculiar location but its easy to access nonetheless! The service has always been solid and they sell cards/products a bit above or around MSRP which is fine since its to support the business! I go to a lot of card shops and I was excited to check out a new one, but sadly they will not be getting my business. When I went in with some friends we wanted to check out what they had in their binders but someone was already looking through them and they only let one binder out at a time. We were awkwardly waiting while the person (rightfully) took their time looking through the binders. I also saw a single (none were priced) I wanted and asked for price. They told me it was $52 but TCG market price was $45. When I asked if they could match they firmly told me since the market was "volatile" they follow last one sold. I have never had a card shop or vendor at a card show not match market price when asked. This makes 0 sense as if the last one sold was cheaper than market they would 100% not charge me less. With no other singles we were interested in and a wait to look at their binders, and not even bulk cards to shift through we decided to just leave. Obviously this is a small business that can run how they like, but with so many options without these silly rules I would not recommend this store if you truly have a love and passion for Pokemon, as the workers clearly did not. read more

The service is super friendly and welcoming, prices for singles and packs that aren't in demand are fair priced, but when it comes to anything in demand it is super marked up, yes more than other stores around like mojo break or Gametime hobby shop. Then the trade in values for cash are super low, I had to consistently double check where the pricing for cards were cause they'll try to pay 25c on a 15$ card etc, so for trade in make the drive to Gametime.But worth checking out for sure cause they have a eclectic collection also. read more
