    Playing Pandemic at Isle
    Katie P.

We love Isle of Gamers! What a great spot to hang out, play games, make friends, and be nerds! Everyone who works here is so friendly and informative. I especially love Allison and Michelle! My boyfriend and I have gone to Isle multiple times to play games, buy D&D supplies, or attend their events. I am looking forward to the next Mini Painting event (Paint Jam), which happens every other Saturday. Overall, so glad I live close to this place!

Amazing service, plethora of books and games. Only sad part, no yugioh cards but they have everything else!

We have sold it at both our locations- Illusive Comics & Games and Isle of Gamers- but it was heavily allocated and sells out very quickly when we get more in. It's best to follow us on Facebook to see when we get more in to have a chance to buy any… Read more

I asked the owner and he mentioned Tatsu hobby as it wasn't far away. First off, this place is kind of hard to find as it is in a completely nondescript industrial complex and far back from the street. There is no way you would just be driving around and come across this place, you have to be searching for it. Also the layout of the store is weird. You first enter into a small room with a couple of display cases, (nothing you can buy I think), with a small desk and a cash register to the right. There was a small man sitting there having a conversation with a person so I wasn't quite sure what to do. My first thought was, "This is it?" But then I noticed there is another room through a open door in the back, so I proceeded through. This is where the kits actually are. The main room is pretty cramped with a few shelves of kits and a table that 3 people were sitting eating at and having nerdy discussions. I wanted to ask a question but I wasn't sure if they worked there or not. I didn't really see that there was really any sort of organization to the store other than the Gundams pretty much seem to be along the rear of the room and other types of kits are near the front. My biggest gripe is that none of the boxes have a price sticker on them. You have to ask the guy up front. Lame. And the couple of kits I asked about were priced higher than other places I normally buy from like Newtype. I'll just stick with Newtype in Union City from now on. Unfortunately they are only open M-F but they do ship and I usually get my orders in a day or two. I wouldn't bother going to Tatsu again.

Customers should be aware that support decisions appear final. Customer support for the less favored should be provided, as it is not. No chances of reconciliation. The situations are handled poorly and owner only listens to the opposite pov side. Personally, the owner needs better people skills and communication skills. This behavior wouldn't fly in a corporate environment but since it's a small business he can do whatever he wants. With that being said, the Pokémon community is extremely Toxic and clique. It's not how it was 20 years ago. Also, prices arent that great as they are little over retail price. I recommend going to a shop that's more friendly. FYI, would be happy to take this review down if the owner would be open to reconcile. Thank you!

I can't say much for TCGs, but every time I'm in the shop, there is always some activity with trading/selling or games being played on the handful of tables set up in the shop. My son and I have been RC customers here for nearly a year and the owner (Michael) and crew are friendly and willing. There is a good selection of popular ARRMA, Losi, Axial and Traxxas vehicles and just about every single new release is in the shop within a few days. There is a curated collection of popular race vehicles behind the counter as well as Kyosho Mini-Z and handful of more specialized brands that only enthusiast hobbyist would even know about like Xpress, MST, and Corally to name a few. There is a small selection of planes and helicopters, and I've been able to have the shop order kits that are more obscure and have it be available within a week or so. I've found the prices to be the same as what is advertised on larger online retailers like Horizon Hobby, A-Main, or Tower Hobbies; Hobby Addicts does have a loyalty program, so I do appreciate that the business understands your patronage is important to them. More importantly, every dollar spent at a local business ends up within the community, so come on out and support your local hobby shop!

The only downside was that water was accumulating in the sink, which made it uncomfortable to use. It seems like a small maintenance issue, but it did affect the overall comfort. These hotels were perfect for busy business travelers like me. 20 years ago Aloft was a new concept brand under the Starwood family of hotels in their REIT portfolio, before Marriott acquired almost all of that portfolio of brands a few years ago. They were actually designed to be the essentials of what most solo business travelers needed, while reducing staff needs in restaurant operations. Add a little pizzazz with neon lighting on the side of the building or in the lounge, and modern design, many with mini-suite or Euro design concepts, and this started a whole new hotel trend different than the previous decades with Courtyard by Marriott concepts, or traditional (and expensive) full service Hiltons and Marriotts. This location is in the heart of Silicon Valley, amidst many Apple offices in Cupertino, and close to Sunnyvale, San Jose, Mountain View and other Tech suburbs. It seemingly was refurbished or updated a bit from its inception perhaps 15-20years ago. It has underground parking, and 3 EV chargers there, with overnight charging on the house! So I was doing some business in the south bay at Westfield Valley Fair Mall, up the peninsula in Belmont, and east on 237 in Milpitas during my stay. What was great is that I came back each night here, got my Tesla into an overnight EV parking space, and charged up my car overnight for free! I charge up overnight at home, too, but it isn't free. So this was a comfortable and efficient hotel for my purposes, and because it was off season, it was about $150/night. Not bad for Silicon Valley. Almost cheaper than many Apple accessories, and definitely cheaper than most Apple repairs, lol.
