Fast forward 25+ years later, and I'm now shopping for my son's RC car. Not as much as the old location, but customer service was good. Needed hex wheel adapters for my son's toy grade RC and the guy was able to get me a set that we took apart from the shop RC since they didn't have any brand new adapters in stock. Might have to take a trip to the other hobby shop that's close to this one to compare selection. . But overall, this shop wasn't too bad.

It really does live up to the name when it says anything related to your hobby is under one roof. What surprised me the most were the prices. I compared several items with what's available online on Amazon, and Hobby Lobby consistently came out cheaper--which was a pleasant surprise! I beg to differ! This store is the most antiquated and inefficient store from the 1950's with staff that are slower than molasses. The items available were mainly cheap so I couldn't buy quality if I wanted. This is the Amazon mentality. Nobody knows quality so just sell bulk cheap stuff, and it is acceptable. I needed to replace some crystal rhinestones. They primarily only sell glass in bulk. Their ribbon selection was obismal! I just needed ivory organza ribbon. Nope, two areas, and no ivory organza ribbon. Now for the issues that are unforgivable in the 21st Century: 1) No self check-out. 2) There are no prices on lots of items. 3) No prices on the shelves either. 3) No random scanners in the store for customers to check a price. 4) They don't have a scanning system! They enter the price manually for the sticker on the item. I still can't believe I just wrote that. 5) To get a price, a clerk has to call a supervisor over to look up the item online. A clerk can't even look it up to save time. There is a wait and it holds up the line. 6) Plenty of space but nowhere for guests to sit. 7) No refrigerated beverages to buy. I guarantee you, I will never shop there again. I love you Michael's; I'm sorry I cheated on you. I will never cheat on you again. Bye bye Hobby Lobby.

He wanted to stop by to check out the RC cars and boats, and even he was surprised by how much the store had changed since the last time he visited! There was honestly so much to look at. They have a HUGE variety of RC stuff--cars, trucks, boats, planes, parts, accessories, different bodies, and so much more. They even work on and repair RC cars there, which is really convenient. For me, the coolest part was the indoor RC track! Since this was my first time here, I was honestly amazed watching everyone race their little RC cars around the track . I didn't realize how big of a hobby this was, so it was actually really fun to watch. They also have an entire rock-crawling room with rocks, bridges, ramps, and different obstacles for the RC trucks, which was really cool to see. The guy working there was also really nice. He greeted us when we came in and answered all of my husband's questions. He was friendly and took the time to talk to us without making us feel rushed. They also had several Monster Jam RC trucks, which immediately caught my attention . I specifically asked about the Sparkle Smash truck. They didn't have that particular one, but he said they might get it later on. He also told us to come back because they're having a Monster Jam event soon, and now I'm actually interested in coming back for it! My husband already knew about this place, but as a first-time visitor, I was really impressed. Even though RC cars aren't really my hobby, I still had a good time looking around and watching everyone race. Short review since we only come here for the gashapon machines…read more I really like coming here. Get some anime gashapon, but it's hard to get some of the ones you like since they're out of stock. I really wish they would stock up more on the popular items. Things are getting a little pricey. $15 for five tokens, and most gashapon are two or three tokens. A lot of the gashapon are anime, sanrio, animals, even food. The last time we were there, they even had little Nikes! The only downside is that it gets pretty warm in there. Especially when the place is packed, it gets really hot. Hopefully they'll think about adding air conditioning or at least fans soon.

It was really unclear what someone was supposed to do if they wanted to ask about product or look at singles. There were two folks working, one person at the register, and another just kind of there? No one greeted anyone or asked if we wanted to see anything or had questions. I waited in the line just so I could ask someone if I could look at some singles. The person acted like it was a huge inconvenience for them and kept walking away even though I wasn't done looking. I had to keep flagging them down to look at more things. Eventually I kinda just gave up with what I had. I don't think I would come back here. They have a lot of sealed product - some of which is wildly overpriced for the current market. They also had a lot of singles that weren't priced which meant they would look up everything when you asked about price. Not a very friendly atmosphere and the pricing isn't super great.
