The model of having the first two months of my child's care from home was so comforting- it allowed me and my baby to stay in the home and rest and heal after delivery. Meg from Tova health handled all the admin stuff. She made scheduling, paperwork, and setting-up the patient portal super simple. When it was time to transition beyond the first two months of care, Dr. Z and Meg helped us find the best pediatrician and make sure they had all our records. Awesome experience! I was not able to get out of bed for over a week after the birth, so our first meeting was with her sitting at the foot of my bed. Thank goodness we chose her for my daughter's pediatrician because there was no way I would have been able to take her to an office. I really needed the fourth trimester care to help me process the trauma from birth, and Dr. Z let me cry and repeat the story over and over again. I'll never forget the time she hugged me and promised me something good would come out of it. She was also provided excellent care to my daughter. I will never forget our crazy first meeting and her kindness. She listened and provided me care when my own OB/GYN's office failed to do so. It is absolutely ludicrous the postpartum care we receive. This fourth trimester care model should be mandatory everywhere.

As a mother and a nurse I was so surprised to see the negative reviews of this practice. As a mom, of course, my concern is the responsiveness to my concerns which are always immediate and thorough. As an RN I see things through a different set of eyes those of competency. Consistently Medford Pediatrics has seen my children promptly, followed up on issues, visited them daily during inpatient stays and most importantly know when to refer. The office staff is prompt and reliable in following through on requests. I only wish that my own internal medicine practice was so thorough. Anyway I only googled them so I could find the address for someone but seeing the negative reviews I had to take the time to say that has not been my experience at all for all 40 years I have been raising children.

From the very beginning (going back 6 years now) with Dr. Pangburn and the other physicians at ABC, they have all been outstanding (even with a couple of ER experiences thrown in there). One of the things we appreciate most is the time they take to talk about any questions or concerns we have. When we have an immediate concern, we are usually able to get an appointment the same day and for those off-hour times, a physician always calls us back promptly. They have been outstanding and a great resource.

She spent lots of time with us, and our newborn son. She was incredibly thorough, answered all our questions, and asked questions about me as well. Most pediatricians I've met with have focused solely on the baby, she was also concerned about me (since I breast feed) and did a lot to help us out in the early days with that. She's very expressive and positive, and I always left feeling like a better mother. :) I highly reccomend both her and Dr Gupta.

Anyway, at the hospital, Dr. Jeffrey Feldman was recommended to us together with another doctor from Everett MGH because they are both relatively very close to where we live. We thought that the pediatrician from Everett MGH was great but the wait time is unbelievably ridiculous. When I went back to work, it's just something that we couldn't easily add to our family with a new baby schedule. We switched to Dr. Feldman and it has been an excellent experience so far. He offers a free first visit, see if he's a good fit for your child. He keeps his appointment times on point which means no dilly dallying but also means he keeps all appointments on time! We appreciate the brevity in going over any health concerns for our baby. He gets to them on point and we leave the clinic satisfied with the service. There is also free parking provided which is always an awesome bonus.

I honestly don't know how they still have jobs. I dealt with this doctor's office for a year and these women have been so rude and disrespectful every single time I had to call for something or saw them in person. It was to the point where I felt uncomfortable calling about health concerns I had with my baby. Their tone of voice was so condescending and always made me feel like everything was my fault and I was doing things wrong - imagine that for a brand new parent. I don't know what makes them so entitled but they are the reason I am leaving this practice. The doctor is great but I will not be spoken to like that ever again. Even now that I called to try to come in and sign a medical release form and get my child's records, the woman on the phone basically told me that she doesn't have time for me and maybe I could get it in two weeks. The worst part is she LAUGHED on the phone when I asked her for these things. Not in a nice way but in a condescending "you are so dumb" way. Then she proceeded to tell me the office is closing soon when online and everywhere it states they are open until 4:30 PM (it's 12 right now.) She obviously just wanted to get me off the phone. I DO NOT recommend this place. The abuse from the staff is just not worth it. We have enough to worry about as parents.

He's a five but the staff (when we went there) was about a three. Although it happened quite a while ago I remember going to the office once when one of our kids was really sick, the receptionist (who is likely and hopefully gone by now) tells me that we shouldn't bring our kids to the office if they have the stomach flu. The problem was that I didn't say she had the stomach flu, I didn't know what she had because I am not a doctor...and neither was she. I was burning mad, in addition to being incredible insensitive the comment was dangerously unprofessional as receptionists should generally keep their medical opinions to themselves. Yeah, apparently I'm still mad about this. This event I recall specifically, but there were other negative staff interactions that occurred but that I don't remember with such detail. Even if the staff is still prickly I would unreservedly recommend Kerbel.

Dr Gill seemed clinically disinterested in my daughter's issues, didn't have any good resources (and I mean NONE), didn't follow up on any issues, and totally missed two visually obvious problems my kid was having that were related to knee and back pain; Dr. Ballenger misdiagnosed my daughter and prescribed the wrong medicine when Rick Goldstein was unavailable, although she's a mighty chipper person, always up and energized. Dr Goldstein was the best around and he left with the new hires. Says something when a great doctor doesn't want to remain in a practice where he was active for years. Maybe when you are young and have a newborn on your hip, the front desk will greet you warmly. But if you are an older parent and older kids, even though you are a long term client, you may just get the cold shoulder.

When I was a patient of his from the age of an infant to about 10 years old, he had be my practitioner. My mother year after year voiced sever concern for my anxiety attacks and other episodes. Year after year, he kept writing of off as "terrible 2s", or "terrible 3s", or "I heard 4 years old is pretty bad!". DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR. I am now 32 years old. Dealing with server life anxiety and learning to work through it myself. When my brother started to see him, 8 years later, he had started showing signs of server eating disorder behaviors. Dr. Michael Alan Vogler called my mother a "crazy Italian mother", and never showed a sign of concern for her children. This man should be locked up, investigated, and disbarred for his repetitive, unprofessional behavior, and I look forward to the day this man gets his karma. Main take away: beware MOTHERS.
