I really like coming here because they only charge you for the exact amount of liquified gas that you actually get (in gallons.) They don't Nickel and Dime you for a New Tank "purge fee" like some of the others in the area. I called and the young man started they had it and that they would hold it for me. I went back a few days later to pick up my blanket and they started they could not find it. One of the young men who worked in the store proceeded to call the employees in which a few stated they saw it sitting by a door. He proceeded to call another employee not realizing she was on speaker phone she stated that another employee took the blanket and another employee wanted it but forgot to grab it. He then walked outside and back in and stated nobody had the blanket and he didn't know where it was I told him I heard the lady on the phone say someone took my blanket. He didn't offer to call someone or even give me a time to return. I made three separate reservations to access my boxes giving 24 hours, 36 hours and 6 days notice- each time, staff informed me they never received my reservations. I am not sure if the communication problem is just this location or company wide, but my current wait time on the 800 number is 43 minutes. Uhaul customer service leaves much to be desired!!!

"Not pop copy" Dave Chappell mind you, but, more they have probably gotten crappy customer situations, in the past, and it showed. Also they seemed tied to the computer system and were inflexible. Our scheduled return time was 8am, the following day, but previously on the phone, someone had told my wife that we could return it at 9am, when someone would be there, they countered this by saying we had to self-return it, by using their app & website. They opened at 9am, Sunday. We asked (as was advised by a U-Haul rep on the phone) to return when they opened. The local staff, said, tersely, no, we put you into the system for self-return at 8am. You must return at 8am sharp. So we go to return online. We were at the U-Haul parking lot at 7:30am, Our reservation number was not in the system! Ugh! We had to call the 800 number & were put on hold for twenty minutes until the person answered. They were understanding of our situation & were very helpful to us and noted our account, that we had returned the trailer before 8:00am. Also, we had put in an order & paid in advance for a mattress packing bag which was not in stock, which they failed to inform us of, when we were doing the checking out inside the "store". Which they charged us for, but why not tell us that it was out of stock? We didn't know that the mattress bag wasn't in our order, until we checked it, about 20 miles away. They charged us for it, so now we have to try and get our money refunded to us. Again the 800 person said no problem the folks at the store should void the purchase. Again subpar service at this local U-Haul location. Really one of the few who supply this service and the trailer and service hooking up was fine. But the displeasure & very disgruntled attitude of the employees on the job that day, 6/25/22, showed in all the employees. Two of the employees were openly talking about a previous customer and a situation that occurred, it felt very awkward and made us uncomfortable, thinking--do they talk about all their customers like this?

My wife and I rented the smallest storage unit they had on the 3rd level with only two incidents…read more The first is getting locked in building Not knowing how to get out, I nearly had to break out of this accident waiting to happen. In a matter of a few months the second incident we are accused of bringing in food without evidence. It looked like we did. What we did was wife put food in our vehicle and we then went to unit. We were inocent as charged and it worked out this time but people have been maimed or killed for less.

Hours are generous and they were even open on July 4th when I was helping my buddy pick up an auto transport trailer to tow with the truck he had rented a couple days prior. The big knock on this U-Haul store is the downtown location. The lot is surrounded by city streets on all four sides so at busy times of the day getting in and out can be tricky especially if you're driving a big truck and pulling a trailer. The lot is just way too crowded with trailers and vehicles which can make navigating the lot a little tricky. There are a few designated customer parking spaces but but they can be difficult to get in and out of depending on all the other stuff parked around them. The first time I was there it wasn't an issue but on my second visit I had a tough time backing my car out of the parking spot. Overall the facility is okay and you can accomplish your tasks in a reasonable time and fashion, just be prepared to work at a little more than is necessary at most other locations.
