**ZERO STARS. We are in Dallas for a bachelorette trip. We booked and got email confirmation since May for this weekend (August 7th). We came from all over the states to celebrate our friend and were notified today, the day of our reservation, that since no credit card was put on hold, we lost our spot. They tried to offer another spot which we can't do due to other reservations. Then said maybe just 4 girls at a time at a different time. The worst part is that the owner was who we were talking to. NO WHERE IN THE EMAIL did it say it card had to be held. When we spoke to someone months ago, nothing was said about a credit card number to hold the reservation. The email in fact said the reservation was confirmed. So why would we be ok with another time? Very very disappointed, seeing as to how excited we all were to make our shades. To the owner: if everything you say shows it's your business's mistake/ error/ try to make it work. Or try to be nicer if you can't fix it. Blaming it on a "change of domain" doesn't make it the client's fault. Or at the very least notify your clients beforehand. People drove for a long time to incorporate your business in a memorable experience. read more

Came here with my mom yesterday and had a wonderful experience! Our mixologist was Dayce (spelling?), she was extremely knowledgeable when it came to color and skin tone match, chatty and made the overall experience great. Tip: Reserve an early time slot. We had an appointment at 10 (right when they opened) which was perfect because it was nice and quiet. Due to limited seating and location, the busier times might be noisy and not as enjoyable. I really enjoyed my experience making my lip wear and the Myx associate. They initially mixed up my booking and didn't share what the final price would be after making everything. It's pretty expensive, for a lip gloss and matte lip it was $80 without any additions. Thought it'd be around $50 instead. read more

We made reservations here for my 13 yr old cousin who came to visit from out of state. When we arrived, we were denied our session as there wasn't enough staff to accommodate her. Granted, there was only one representative present, however, there were still no attempt to accommodate this special instance. She said that their website bookings weren't linked to their system in the store. I showed her my confirmation email and she still refused to let my 13 year old cousin make her lipstick. It was truly a disappointing experience. I attempted to call the manager and there was no answer. I left a voicemail and I never even received a followup call. The experience seems to be fun but I do not recommend this place. Even if there was nothing that could be done, empathy goes a long way when in the customer service industry. read more

Experience was so bad I had to leave this review. Made a reservation online for 5pm. It stated to get there a little prior to your appointment time, so my bestie and I were there at 4:50pm. We didn't even get to sit at the lip bar until literally 5:35pm. When we were finally seated, nobody helped us for 15 minutes. Other individuals who came in after us were being seated and helped. There were about 7 or so workers behind the counter- no acknowledgement or anything. The place looked super cool and seemed like a fun experience. The aesthetic was cute! But the customer service was not good at all. We were in town visiting and ended up leaving without fulfilling our appointment. This was a major disappointment since we had been looking forward to this experience for months. Do not recommend unless you have time to waste. read more

Shaun was super fun and helpful! He made our experience so much more memorable and fun!! Super cute activity to do! It is a bit pricey for a short amount of time, but the lipstick or lip gloss are pretty big so you get a ton of product. Def a good experience to try out! You pick your colors and mix, then you can add scents, any boosters like sunscreen or moisture. It is a ton of fun, creating a lipstick is def more fun than making a lipgloss because of the process but both are still fun. read more

Overall fun experience because of the people I was with, but didn't appreciate how pushy the representatives were. When I didn't love my color we tried another, then I told the rep I like the first one better and she immediately started bottling up the first and asking me what I wanted to name it? For a $60 lipstick that looks like my ColourPop I would hope that I loved my color. I also added the plump and you would never know it putting on the gloss. When my friends couldn't find a color they loved some girl came out from the back pushing them to go with something. Wish it could have been a more enjoyable experience. read more

My friends and I came here after celebrating a birthday! We HAD A BLAST! I got a matte liquid color, another friend got a gloss, and another got creme lipstick. Leslie was FANTASTIC! She took the time to help us understand the process and had a lot of patience when we all were trying to find the perfect color (we each got a different color). I can't wait to come back when my mom is in town! It was such a fun night out. Also, there were some girls there making lipsticks for one of their upcoming weddings. I came here for my 22nd birthday and it was a lot of fun. The ladies are sweet, super knowledgeable about their products and ingredients, and they offer input while you figure out exactly what kind of color and style you're going for. I came home with two products, a matte nude lipstick and a super glittery high shine gloss. I've been using them nonstop since. Their lip scrubs (complementary with each purchase) are incredible as well. They have some really delicious smelling (and tasting, yes, completely edible) scrubs to choose from. As for the actual MYX experience, there are endless color possibilities. On top of that, they have 20+ shimmers to choose from including ones with colored undertones and iridescence. They are very patient with you while you discover how to create new hues and combos and are perfectly comfortable with allowing you to start all over as well. They have dozens of scents to choose from which can also be mixed. I went with a hazelnut vanilla lipstick and a creme brûlée gloss. You can add from a choice of 10ish additives. I chose plumper and moisturizer for mine. Plumper was an extra $5 per each $50 product. Though, the way the packages are set, the more products you buy, the cheaper it is overall. For lipsticks, you can use a traditional mold or a more modern MYX exclusive one. You get to name your products whatever you want so they can print a sticker for the bottom of your tube. If you bring a big group, they accommodate very well but you could definitely make this a more intimate gathering as well. The vibe here is pretty relaxed and quiet. It will really be set by the people you come with and how y'all interact. Overall it was worth the cost and I have high quality products I can use for months to come! read more

I did not enjoy my experience. The lady that was helping me treated me like I did not know anything about makeup. I am a makeup artist. She did not mix the sample color well and wax was still visible. She asked me to apply it on my lips but since the wax was still visible I tried to mix the wax and pigment at the back of my hand, she didnt like that and said no do it on your lips. I said okay I will but I have to mix the wax and pigment to get a good idea of what the color outcome. She didnt really let me do anything and i just watched her do all the fun part. Next time i will just go to MAC then get 4 lipsticks and mix them together for the price of 1 MYX lipstick. It was a very expensive staring experience. read more

I normally don't even review places but this place was so badly disorganized that I had to let it be known. Originally saw MYX on TikTok and looked super cool! I booked everything online for me and my friend. We arrived early. And that's when everything went down hill. We waited for about 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment. Then proceeded to wait another 30 minutes after being seated. Everyone around us was being helped. The hostess who sat us left randomly and announced she was taking an Uber. There were 7 people working behind the lipstick bar. No one acknowledge us. There was another group next to us who had been sitting for 20+ minutes. It got so bad we walked out. The place looks cool and I do hope they get their customer service in order but sadly tI won't be going back and wouldn't recommend to my friends. read more

I loved my experience! I had champagne while I prepared my blend. MYX Blend Bar is a great place for a girls day out or to go and treat yourself. My blend had a pink tint I didn't care for after wearing it for a day, so I contacted Kendyll, Director of Operations, and she told me to come back in, so we could correct my color. My new shade was blended in about 15 minutes. Great customer service! I will return soon to blend a custom lipstick. read more
