I called the agent that we purchased the car from (Jeremy) and he proceeded to tell us that we can't do anything because we purchased the car 'as-is' and there was nothing that they could do. I contacted their service line and they towed me to the dealership where they didn't put the car in the shop but dropped it off in a spot and brought out a emergency battery to jump it. While it does turn over, I'm not satisfied with this whole experience. I then proceeded to take the car to a local battery shop where they looked at it and confirmed my own fears. The starter has a fault in it, which this dealership failed to notice when they acquired it, serviced it, and inspected it. To get a second opinion to make sure I did my due diligence, I went to where I usually get my vehicles worked on and they confirmed it was the starter. After I had all of this information, I contacted the dealership again and this time I made sure to get the manager (John). I talked to him for less than two minutes when he raised his voice and told me there's nothing that can be done. I then informed him that myself, my family, and my friends, will never do any business with them. This dealership is not to be trusted with your time and effort. There are many other places in my immediate and surrounding area that have far superior customer service and care on their minds than a simple paycheck. My wife and I realized this too late, so learn from our mistakes.

Had to bring it back a few days later for detailing and to fix a scratch and dented hood, they did an amazing job. We did sign that we knew about 2 brake pads that were near minimal standards, so we knew about that. We took it to Apple Valley Toyota in Martinsburg, WV which is an affiliate of theirs. Was told one brake pad was non existent and the other three was not up to WV standards. Also the axle was bent and leaking. Cost us $1,200 to get fixed. CrossPointe does not do a very good inspection of their cars if they do at all. We live in the mountains and those brakes could have went out at any time. Emailed CrossPointe shortly afterwards and still no call back. Very disappointed in this dealership.

We recently experienced a major transmission failure that was fully covered under Volkswagen's 50,000-mile manufacturer warranty. What surprised us was that although the transmission repair was covered, the cost to tow the undrivable vehicle to the dealership was not. Many customers would reasonably assume that if a warranty covered mechanical failure leaves a vehicle undrivable, towing to the dealership would also be covered. Unfortunately, Volkswagen's roadside towing reimbursement only applies up to 36,000 miles. That meant we were responsible for an unexpected towing bill despite the repair itself being covered under warranty. I'm sharing this so other buyers know what to ask before purchasing. Don't assume roadside assistance lasts as long as the manufacturer's warranty. Ask specifically whether towing is covered if your vehicle becomes undrivable due to a warranty covered failure. In Volkswagen's case, you can still be covered by the manufacturer's 50,000-mile warranty but have no towing coverage once your vehicle exceeds 36,000 miles. Knowing that distinction ahead of time could save you an unexpected expense.

Where to start the horrible service and billing add-ons? Had my Ram 1500 towed from Carmax on a Carmax warranty to the dealership for diagnosis on why it would not start. It was the radio frequency hub, which is covered by the warranty. The initial reason it went bad by the dealership was because of water leak. No signs of water leak, no smell of mold, no pictures to prove it was the water. Asked the dealership to contanct the warranty company and request for an investigator to come out. Dealship did not request the warrenty but wanted me to pay over $4k to get the hub replaced and fix the leak. In the end, I had to pay for the RF Hub, and then they tried to charge me for towing my truck into the bay, plus and extra charge for them to remove the seat to access the RF Hub. Isn't that what general labor charge is for? NEVER AGAIN WILL I USE THIS DEALERSHIP

Chronology of Events:…read more 1. March 28, 2025 - First Incident My vehicle was towed to your dealership due to a complete transmission malfunction. Diagnostic codes (P1DB9, U0101, U0402) were retrieved. The issue was traced to a faulty connection in the XY230A connector. I was charged $148.58 (including an unspecified discount), despite the repair reportedly falling under the powertrain warranty. No rental vehicle was provided despite multiple requests. 2. August 4, 2025 - Second Incident The Jeep was again towed in for intermittent shifting issues. A single code (U0402) was retrieved. No issues could be duplicated by your team, and the vehicle was returned without repair or charge. Again, no rental vehicle was offered. 3. August 12, 2025 - Third Incident Similar transmission issues led to the retrieval of codes P1DB9, U0101, and U0402. A faulty valve body and TCM were diagnosed and replaced under warranty. No rental vehicle was provided despite repeated requests. 4. September 16, 2025 - Fourth Incident Transmission issues recurred, with the same codes reappearing. Your team diagnosed a faulty engine and transmission wiring harness and also replaced the starter (which was damaged during the repair process). Repairs were completed under warranty, and I picked up the vehicle on October 14--after nearly a month without reliable transportation. A rental vehicle was only made available on the evening of October 8, despite multiple requests during the four-week service period. Customer Service and Repair Quality Concerns: During and after the most recent service, I experienced serious issues beyond the mechanical failure itself: Lack of Communication: Repeated requests for updates went largely unanswered, leaving me in the dark for extended periods. Delayed Rental Car Provision: A rental was only provided well into the fourth week of service, despite my multiple and timely requests. Vehicle Condition Upon Return: Upon picking up the vehicle, I noted and reported the following concerns: Fender liners improperly installed (now corrected) Power wire for aftermarket tow harness routed incorrectly (corrected personally) Damaged interior trim (pending replacement) Gouge/scuff marks on interior panels (pending assessment by a specialist) Missing exhaust clamp causing increased noise and interior odor (now resolved) Interior left dirty with visible grease and grime (cleaned personally) Additional issues since discovered: Loose upper trim on passenger side Loose/misaligned lower interior B-pillar trim Loose ground wires Worst experience of my life no respect at all for my vehicle and still no return email from the general Manager Ralph Perkins. Justin Watson failed to make sure my Jeep ground issue was correct when picking up the Jeep so when the tech came out he notice yet another thing broken and had to order new battery terminals. Rob the tech was embarrassed and has shown more concern than anyone. He actually took a moment to care how they left my vehicle. The loose ground cause the Jeep to cut off right in the bay on 10/23/2025.

! !!!!!!!SATAN'S DEALERSHIP BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!…read more I honestly wish I could give them the middle finger versus any damn stars!!!! I purchased a 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo back in late April. I was hell bent on finding something fast due to my old car not passing inspection. I stumbled upon Gold Star and that was the BIGGEST mistake ever. Matt was my salesman and of course he came off very pleasant and eager to help but he was only a wolf in sheeps clothing! He put me in a temporary car since my jeep needed to be detailed and some minor things needed fixing and I agreed. It was my first car purchase and being a woman I really don't know much about cars so I allowed it. However, the temp car was a Ford Explorer that broke down on the side of a back road in Upperville while I was visiting my family a week later after Matt putting me in it. (Yes it took them more than one week to give me my jeep I purchased.) When I finally got my jeep, the horn did not work and the back tail light was out. But they gave me an inspection sticker and paper saying it passed. Crazy I know!! So I texted Matt about this and he barely responded or sometimes he didn't at all! So I dealt with having no horn and got the tail light fixed my damn self! IT DOESN'T END HERE!!!!!! During the beginning of the summer my ac went out!!! After finally getting ahold of Matt in person!!! Because he doesn't answer texts or calls....he sent me to Gold Stars mechanic where he fixed my ac within a few minutes....but here's a side note the mechanic was even bad mouthing gold star! He said he was just there for a paycheck because he know how their cars are!!!!! When I finally thought all was said and done....I was driving down route 50 and smelled a burning smell...my boyfriend thought it was the tires but NOPE!!! Come to find out it was my electrical wires underneath the carpet burning!!!!!! I only found this out because my boyfriend hollered for me to come outside and take a look at my new jeep SMOKING FROM THE INSIDE BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT!!!!! ANS THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED!!!!! (Look at picture) so by that catching fire, my power windows no longer work and I cannot get them to go up which means my windows are down in this cold ass month of November!!! So when I took this to the gold star mechanic he called gold star over there on Martinsburg Pike and they said there's nothing they can do about it!!! The mechanic said he would have to find which wire it was by tearing up the whole interior!!!!! I am currently looking into this matter legally and something will be done because I refuse to pay a $300 car note on a LEMON JEEP by shitty ass Gold Star! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING HERE!!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!!! GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! LEARN FROM US!!!!! As far as Matt from Goldstar you are a terrible salesman and an even worse MAN!

First I bought a Pontiac Grand AM, I drove this car all the way to Alexandria, VA when I realized that reverse does not work. I stopped by Jiffy Lube to check this problem. The mechanic guy there told me that there are so many major problems, that I better get rid of this car. The gas tank was cemented (obviously this was from junk yard), major oil leak, the carriage was flooded with oil. They gave me a paper so I can show the dealer the problems. I went back and showed them the paper. They gave me a temporary car that I could use until they get the car checked out. The next day, they called me and told me that I had to get another car because the damages are more than the car's value. I looked around, the vehicles are so hard to decide, I finally found a vehicle that I really like-- 2005 Ford Escape (a SUV). I had to drive this car to another gold star place at Valley Pike. On my way there, I was driving on I-81, and the front right tire went flat. I nearly got in crash!! I called them and they sent someone to come and get us. They said they would get all brand new tires. They also gave me a temporary vehicle for 5 additional days. The next day, they called me and said that the car is ready to be picked up. I went there and I checked all the tires. They are not brand new at all!! I demanded them to give me my money back. The manager said "This is not going to happen." I was so angry, we had hours and hours of negotiating. They agreed to replace the front tire, and give me free oil change. I accepted this offer. I got the tire replaced and received free oil change. I finally can go to my second home in Maryland. On that evening at my second home, I actually felt relieved that the car thing is done. Unfortunately when I was sitting on the porch, I noticed that the exhaust system-- the muffler is really low, about 2 inches to the road surface. I was so pissed off, called the dealership and told them about the problem. They said they are going to order the new part, I approved. I drove all the way back to my home in Winchester, VA. The muffler actually cracked in half!! The next day, the front right tire got flat. I screamed and said that's it! I drove to 7-11 and inflated the tire. I called the dealership and told them I want my money back. They said ok, come here. The manager there did not cooperate with me, refused to give me my money back. I told them that if they refuse to give me my money back, I will call the police. The manager said "go ahead, I suggest you to read the contract before you call". I don't care about the contract, so I went outside and called the police. The police arrived, I talked to the police about the whole situation. The manager said ok I will give you money back, it will take a week for the check to be ready. All this hassles-- no one deserve to go through!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE (Valley Pike- it's going to close soon and move to this new place) !!!!!!!! I also talked to many local dealerships, they said they have heard so many many horror stories about Gold Star. They screw people up, they sell JUNK cars!

I originally made plans to go look at one vehicle and they sold that as I'm on the way from work (10 minutes away) to test drive it after being in contact with a salesman continuously about it. First come first serve, whatever. I settled on my second option unfortunately. They will rush you through the paper work, charge you a different price than the online price, not provide CARFAX unless you specifically ask, sell you a car that supposedly needs a simple fix, that you would assume they would be able to do before you leave, but no it has to go to the manufacturers dealership. The bright side I guess is They let me keep and drive my trade in while they have it posted for sale on their website. After a week they say the car I bought was ready, then the same day I get a call saying it's not ready, now they have it back and it's just getting rear tires put on. Back and forth then it needs something else, But can't tell you anything because the service manager is sick or some crap. I had been in contact with the finance company the whole time and they knew I hadn't taken delivery of the vehicle, after two weeks I reached out to them again to let them know they still haven't provided the vehicle and they agreed to cancel and return the deal. Fast forward another week, so three weeks later I get a call from the dealer saying the car is back at the manufacturer dealership the part has finally come in and the car should be ready... I happily informed them the deal was returned by the finance company and I want nothing else to do with them. I'm beyond grateful the deal fell apart because I couldn't imagine the headache I would be in if I had to continue to work with this dealership throughout the ownership life of this vehicle I tried to purchase.
