I needed a new fence gate since the old one wasn't closing and was probably over 30 years old. For the new gate I wanted to do a horizontal orientation to match my neighbors fence. I also wanted to do it with redwood since it would be more resistant to rot and termites. Reached out to a few people and the quotes were all similar at around $1000 for the gate and little bit of fencing next to it. It doesn't exactly match the style of my neighbors when looking at it from inside the property, but that's my fault for not being specific about what I expected.
