I chose Dr. Reid after a lot of research on doctors that had experience with the type of skin that has been "almost ruined" (my own words) from being stretched so much from weight and also doctors that managed pain well, because I'm a big baby! Dr. Reid also is incredibly warm and friendly, in addition to being BRILLIANT! When you're looking into plastic surgery of any kind you initially go "good Lord that's expensive", BUT... I will say this, you're going to see those nurses and that surgeon SO MANY times post-op and not be charged any more. They will answer emails and phone calls to calm you down and fit you in same day if you're experiencing any kind of concerns and just want them to take a look. I've never healed as well from anything... not even a paper cut, as well as I have from this surgery. I know Dr. Reid uses a special fancy pants cutting tool that aids in healing better, and wow...I can tell. I also highly recommend you ask for the information of the private nurse that you can hire to take care of you after surgery. If I hadn't done that for the first 24 hrs my family would have been sooo overwhelmed. They can get you her info, I don't want to give it out, as she's a separate business, but this just shows how much they care about the success of their patients...by offering extra support that can help you. Their office also is a big fan of lymphatic massage, which I'm all in for. They have a person on staff that does it and I think she helped my healing a ton as well! I still have a long way to go, as this type of surgery has long term swelling, but I've come so far. I can't say enough wonderful words about this team. They are amazing, kind, and exactly what I was looking for. When you're visiting doctors to find the right fit, give Dr. Reid a shout, you won't regret it, he and his team are wonderful! I'm so happy!! This surgery has been life changing!

She even shared with me her personal experience with the same procedure I am having to include before and after photos. Very impressive!!! She said multiple times that I will not have a flat smooth stomach after the lipo and tummy tuck. I assured her that was not my expectation. I just want my clothes to fit nicely. I am 59 years old and showing off my belly isn't something I will be doing They charge per area and when I suggested we add my upper arms to the list Yvonne said I would not be happy as the skin will sag and I will have scars. She said I could speak with the surgeon for his opinion. I know she is in sales and her bonuses are most likely rated according to the full sale she completes. So with this being said it spoke volumes that she was honest about the arm request knowing it would cut into her commission. I am scheduling my procedure in a couple of days and am so excited to have this work done. I've wanted it for 30 plus years. Pricing is reasonable and payment options are available. All these negative reviews are a bit worrisome. But it's impossible to make everyone happy ! My next review will be post op ! Thanks Lucy R

I was VERY apprehensive about the procedure itself... although everyone told me I would be extremely satisfied after... and I was!!! I have had MANY orthopedic surgeries - at hospitals and surgery centers -- so I have many experiences to compare Dr. Fisher's surgery experience to. From the first moment I walked in on surgery day -- the experience was different. It was JUST ME in the surgery center! I got 100% individual attention. The waiting area reminded me more of a waiting area for a massage. Very calm and relaxed... the team was friendly, comfortable and casual. It all put me very at ease. The surgery experience and pain management experience was flawless. I actually took one advil after surgery... and I don't think I even needed it. The staff is hyper professional and pleasant. The kind of people you want to be friends with. Every appt has been easy and pleasant from the moment i walked in the door until the moment I walked out. Dr Fisher is a PRO! I know that she is extremely well-regarded in her field and has exceptional credentials and experience. Aside from that she's a great person -- super easy to talk to- very real and relatable. As you can tell -- I can't say enough positive things about Dr Fisher's practice. I continue to recommend her practice to friends. I also started using the MedSpa as soon as it opened!

Update: After expressing concerns about my surgical outcome…read moreand scar appearance, I was terminated from the practice. The practice later stated that the termination was due in part to missed follow-up appointments. However, the appointment records provided to me show that I attended my consultation, pre-op, surgery, post-op, and August follow-up appointments, and the records simply list later appointments as "cancelled" without indicating who canceled them. I had breast augmentation, liposuction, and fat transfer with Dr. Christine Fisher, and I am now 13 months post-op. I waited over a year before writing this review because I understood that plastic surgery results take time to settle, and the one-year mark is generally when final results can be more fairly evaluated. Unfortunately, even after giving my body that time, my experience and results remain very disappointing. I want to be clear that I was happy with my body before surgery. I did not seek out surgery because I disliked myself or expected perfection. I chose Dr. Fisher because her practice was woman-owned and because she appeared to specialize in natural-looking, reconstructive-style results. I still like my body, but after spending around $20,000, I do not feel the changes to my body reflect the cost, expectations, or level of care I believed I was choosing. I also do not feel that I went in requesting an extreme or drastic transformation. I was already fit and in shape, and I was seeking subtle refinements - not a full-body makeover. That is part of why the visible scarring, asymmetry, and overall outcome have been so disappointing. For the amount I paid, I expected thoughtful, precise changes that aligned with what we discussed. Before surgery, I made it very clear that scarring was one of my biggest concerns. I was specifically told that the liposuction entry sites would be "freckle-sized," microscopic, and/or hidden. That was not my outcome. The liposuction scars are very visible and clearly surgical. They are identical and placed in the exact same spots on both sides of my body -including my upper butt, lower butt, and pubic area. Because they are symmetrical and positioned identically, they do not look like natural blemishes or tiny marks. They clearly appear to be surgical scars, which was exactly what I expressed concern about before surgery. I was also left with three large vertical scars on my upper inner thigh that are approximately several inches long. I did not originally request inner-thigh liposuction, but during consultation I was told many women like taking a small amount of fat from that area, so I agreed. I never expected to end up with large visible scars in that location. In regard to my breast augmentation, I communicated that I wanted to be a full C cup with more fullness on top because I have a muscular build. I discussed wanting closer to 350-400cc implants, but ended up with smaller implants than expected. When I later expressed disappointment about the size, I was told I could "always go bigger later." That comment was frustrating because going bigger is not as simple as sizing up a pair of shoes. It would mean paying for an entirely new surgery, going under anesthesia again, and going through another recovery process. That is not a small or casual fix, especially when sizing was something I tried to be very clear about before surgery. My breasts are also uneven, with one hanging noticeably lower than the other. On my left side, I can feel the implant in a way that makes the skin feel thin and stretched, almost as if the pocket was placed too low or the tissue was stretched too much. The asymmetry and overall result were not what I expected. At my follow-up appointment, when I tried to explain how upsetting the experience and results had been for me, Dr. Fisher became emotional and cried during the appointment. While I understand surgeons are human, the appointment did not feel solution-focused and it became uncomfortable trying to discuss my concerns. During that same appointment, Nurse Hawna repeatedly attempted to lift her shirt to show me her own breast implant scars after I had already declined seeing them multiple times. I told her several times that I did not need to see them, but she continued insisting. I found the interaction uncomfortable and confusing, especially because her scars were much smaller than mine and she stated they were still visible after 10 years. I did not understand how that addressed my concerns. When I later requested my medical records, I was surprised by how limited and one-sided the notes felt. The records mostly documented my complaints and emotional reactions, but did not fully reflect the conversations about expectations, scarring concerns, sizing discussions, or what was communicated to me before surgery and during follow-up appointments.

After years of wanting a breast augmentation but hesitant due to general anesthesia fears, I became increasingly interested after learning some doctors are now performing this procedure under local anesthesia.  It was the same seamless method I had used for my wisdom teeth removal and my balloon sinuplasty. I was concerned how it would apply to such a large area however. Gartner Plastic Surgery, a NJ practice I found upon further research, gave me assurance and comfort that it was possible. The doctor's regular social media live streams and YouTube videos made the procedure look like a breeze. I was ready to find someone local!  Except, little did I know, finding a doctor to perform the procedure in this way would be nearly impossible. I must've called every practice within a 4 hour radius of Austin - with each practice trying to convince me to go the general anesthesia route.  Unfortunately, this is a procedure I would never consider under general anesthesia, or any procedure for that matter. The exception being a life threatening situation of course. I'm not comfortable with the risk, past experience, and the fact that I have sleep apnea (although I learned doctor thoughts differ on the sleep apnea and general anesthesia topic).  It was important that I insured the doctor was a board certified plastic surgeon, perform surgery in a quad ASF accredited surgery center, had no malpractice cases on record and good reviews [and/or gallery I liked].  When I was nearly ready to call it quits and schedule my surgery in New Jersey, I stumbled upon Personique, a practice I had not yet called! I was initially worried that they claimed to perform the procedure under local anesthesia just to get me in the door. I was so happy to learn that was not the case upon my consultation!  It was in fact the only method they used for their surgeries.  But, I was left concerned at the lack of reviews and before and after photos. I was conflicted between having found a doctor close to home who's a board certified plastic surgeon and performs the surgery under local anesthesia in a quad asf accredited center, but has little to no reviews versus just going to NJ and meeting all my criteria check marks.  I ended up taking a gamble on the good reviews and gallery criteria, chose to stay close to home and scheduled with Dr. Randy Buckspan. I'm so happy I did. I didn't feel a thing. My wisdom teeth recovery was way worse! A++ so far!

Very Disappointed with Dr. Robert Ersek…read more I had a facelift and chin augmentation with Dr. Robert Ersek in March 2024, and I am extremely unhappy with the results. Not only did the procedure disfigure my face, but Dr. Ersek's treatment of me throughout the process was disrespectful and lacked any empathy. When I expressed my concerns about the outcome and explained how I was feeling, Dr. Ersek's response was less than reassuring. He simply said, "I am human and make mistakes," while rolling his eyes. That response did nothing to ease my distress, and I was left feeling like my concerns didn't matter to him at all. I initially sought Dr. Ersek's help after a previous doctor failed to deliver results on a different procedure. Dr. Ersek advised me to ask the previous doctor for a refund, assuring me that if they were ethical and reputable, I would receive one. To his credit, my previous doctor did refund the money, but when I asked Dr. Ersek's assistants, Angelica and Ashly, about getting a refund for the procedure that went wrong, they assured me I would be refunded as well. They claimed to have experience with such situations. However, months later, I received nothing, and I was made to feel like I was the problem. I paid for a procedure that only left me with sagging skin, a deformed chin, and a much older appearance. To make matters worse, I received a letter from Dr. Ersek stating that he would no longer be my doctor. All I wanted was to improve my appearance and receive some empathy during a difficult time, but instead, I experienced poor customer service, a lack of professionalism, and a doctor who seemed uninterested in helping me. After months of trying to reach out for a refund, my calls were ignored, and I never received a single penny back. Please think twice before choosing Dr. Ersek. I feel I entrusted my care to someone who is too focused on their own reputation and not the well-being of their patients. All I was asking for a refund to go and get better results somewhere else , just like I did the first time I went to see Dr Ersek.

I had breast surgery with Dr. Gordon and waited over a year to share my honest, full-results…read morereview. I came to Dr. Gordon for a lift after deciding I was done having children. She did achieve a strong, stable lift, and the lower portion of my breasts is well supported. However, I feel that I traded a good lift for several issues I didn't have before: uneven nipples, one breast with an odd shape, and a scar that extends much farther than expected.  On my right side, the incision did not follow the natural curve of my breast--it stretches toward my back, creating both a visible scar and a droop on the outter side instead of the round shape it should be. My left breast, by contrast, was done correctly and the scar follows the curve underneath the breast and the scar is hidden. I used to love wearing backless tops, but now I feel self-conscious because one nipple sits noticeably higher than the other, and the scar on the side/back is visible. Dr. Gordon did perform a scar revision for me, but it only improved things by about 10%. Overall, I'm disappointed that I went in with even breasts and came out with uneven breasts and nipples. I had hoped for a "Barbie breast" look with fuller upper-pole volume, but I didn't achieve as much of an upper pole as I wanted. The service was very good in the beginning, but when it came time for my scar revision, communication completely dropped off. No one followed up with me for months--I only received responses after I reached out myself. Even the postoperative appointment for the revision was never scheduled until I inquired. I felt like a tumbleweed, unsure of the next steps and unsure who I was supposed to turn to for guidance. Overall, I would give my experience about 2.5 stars.
