Best home project experience ever! My husband and I recently refinished the lower level of our ti-level split and we wanted to put carpet down for the flooring. Our first stop was Home Depot in Avon, but trying to schedule a time for them to come out to measure was a nightmare. Our basement contractor recommended that I call Nick at Marathas Carpeting and we could not be happier that we did! I called Nick on a Wednesday mid-morning, and he came out to measure the room that same night! I went into his showroom the next afternoon and he helped me pick out a carpet for the room - making sure to keep my budget and the wall color of the room in mind. Then, he called the distributor of the carpet that I picked out, and was able to rush the order so that it could be installed the following Thursday. My husband and I were thrilled with this, as we had family coming in for the long holiday weekend (Columbus Day). Imagine my surprise and excitement when Nick called me on Monday afternoon to see if they could install the carpet on Tuesday instead! Of course, I said yes! Nick's employees were on time, courteous, and - most importantly I think - professional and efficient workers! They didn't waste time and they cleaned up after themselves. He doesn't use random workers to complete his jobs, but instead uses employees that he knows and trusts and because of this, I felt safe bringing them into my home. I cant say enough about Nicky Marathas. My first experience with Nicky was about 1 year ago. I had a leak in my basement and had to rip out our wall to wall carpeting. I was new to Canton so I asked around my neighborhood and not one, but all four people I asked, said that I needed to call Nicky Marathas. So, I called, he came over the next day and not only was he very knowledgeable, but also super friendly, funny and really consultative in his approach. He showed me beautiful options, that were practical given the fact that I have two small children, a dog and a cat, and they were all within my budget. He did a beautiful job and I was over the moon! In September, I decided I wanted a refresh of my area rugs, so I went into the store and he remembered me right away and greeted me with a smile. I had several rooms I was looking to purchase for,and again, he listened to what I was looking for and showed me several options that were gorgeous! Nicky delivered, yet again! A couple weeks ago, I went back to Nicky, this time for a runner for my stairs and hallway. What do you know, he delivered yet again! My husband and I were sent to NJ Marathas upon a recommendation when we were looking to carpet our attic for a game room. We didn't want to spend time and wasted money on high end carpet with no one to call and ask questions to before, during and after. Upon walking into the store we were greeted with open arms and welcomed to browse or ask questions. I had never bought carpet before and I had about a thousand questions; and Nick kindly answered all of them. We had a bit of miscommunication and during installation where I was confused, upset and annoyed; but Nick quickly helped me to resolve the small issue. He got a great carpenter to come out within 48 hours to shave down our room/closet doors. That moment could have gone in a sour direction, but Nick did everything he could to help immediately and we are now loving our new carpet/rooms. I've absolutely never experienced better service, especially from someone who didn't know me from Adam when I walked in the store. When Lowe's in Dedham royally screwed up our carpet order, and we were left with the prospect of no replacement carpet in our daughter's room before moving into our new house, Nick stepped in and did everything he could to ensure that we'd get a beautiful carpet as soon as possible. He quickly helped us choose the right carpet, priced it out for us, and got his professionals Brad and Frank to come in and do the work the very next day. The install went very smoothly: they did clean and beautiful work and were very careful not to mess up our freshly-painted baseboards. The selection in store is vast--they have every type of carpet one could ever imagine needing, and their price was over $200 CHEAPER than what Lowe's was charging us. I have been a very satisfied customer of Marathas Carpeting for over 2 years. Not long after buying our home in Canton we had a pipe burst in our finish basement and had to start from scratch. Nick Marathas was a pleasure to deal with from minute one. He is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and takes pride in personally ensuring you are truly satisfied. I don't know where to begin; we could not have asked for better service. We bought our house and had a very tight 3 week timeframe to get multiple trades in and out of the house so we could move in. One of the very last things we did was decide to carpet our 4 upstairs bedrooms. We walked in to NJ Marathas with a specific color, style and deadline in mind and needed to have that met. We didn't give them much wiggle room on anything and they far surpassed our expectations. They made sure the color and style we wanted was in stock and they were willing to work with measurements from a blueprint since we couldn't get them in to measure. They were also able to commit to install on the day we needed. Our installer Brad was able to get almost 1500 sq ft of carpet installed, working around painters, in less than a full day. They were quick, friendly and cleaned up like they had never been there. We would recommend them to anyone and will absolutely be back for any future carpet needs. read more

I had NJ MArathas install carpeted in my new Man town last year, the installer Brad was very professional and did a outstanding job, we were very satisfied with the carpet install. One year later while giving the man town its weekly cleaning,I was vacuuming and a strand of carpet got caught up in my vacuum leaving a very noticeable 1foot area of missing carpet. I called NJ MArathas spoke with the receptionist, explained to her in detail of the damage that I caused, she then said that she would relay this message to NIck. NIck called back that same day to see if I was available, about one hour later two installers stopped by to assess the damaged area. They spent approximately 30 mins repairing the carpet for me at no charge. I was amazed how fast they repaired it and amazed on how good it looks again. I wish more companies could conduct business as well as NJ MArathas does, outstanding service, I would highly recommend this company. read more

I purchased a runner from NJ Marathas and had it installed in December. I live in a very old house that has a hallway that wraps around the upstairs, taking many sharp turns and curves. The installation team cut the rug and installed it to absolute perfection. Also, the hallway is not completely straight as it is an older house, but you would never even know based on how the rug was cut. The installation team spent two days cutting and installing the rug so that it was perfect. The rug quality is outstanding! I am new to town and so when I was looking for a carpet store, I asked for recommendations on a local Facebook page. I immediately had about 25 recommendations for NJ Marathas Carpeting and I'm so glad I went with them. Nick, the owner, was amazing to work with and was so respectful of my budget. The service was 5 stars from helping us choose the carpet to installation. Nick, the owner, was extremely helpful and patient. He came to our house twice to make sure the measurements of the area rug were correct after we had new furniture delivered. The installers, which are not contracted, and work for Nick, were the best. There was quite a bit of measuring for the different carpet choices and they were spot on as well. The carpets are beautiful and are of top quality and the prices are very reasonable. This was by far the best experience we had with our new home. We had decided to save the carpeting for the end and when we went into NJ Marathas Carpeting we were very impressed with Nick's knowledge and his advice as to what we may want for our choices. He even let us take a sample board home with us to choose a color for our living room. I love this place!! Everything about our experience was fantastic. The staff was extremely welcoming and very knowledgeable. We were looking to do wall to wall carpeting in a newly finished basement playroom. They were generous with samples and helped advise us in what would be best for that type of room with kids and a dog. The installers were great!! Very professional and really nice people. It looks AWESOME! I love the carpet choice - how it feels and how it looks. We were so impressed with the whole team at NJ Marathas, from the owner, to the staff, to the installers! Not only are they great at what they do, they are wonderful people as well. (We also found their prices to be much better than local competitors, which was great!) I had a great experience with Marathas Carpeting. I went in to get a ballpark idea of cost with pictures of the stairs that I needed to have carpeted. I spoke with Nick, showed him the pictures and explained my budgetary constraints. He came out to measure 15 minutes later and gave me an OUTSTANDING quote that was much less than expected! He made sure that the carpet would meet my needs and my budget. Nick was fabulous to work with! The carpet was installed a week later by two professionals that were friendly, prompt and knowledgable. Nick called shortly afterwards to make sure that it had been installed to satisfaction and that all was well. The stairs look great and I have received many compliments on the carpeting. Marc was very knowledgable when we visited their location to pick our carpet samples out and he let us take some home so that we could see how they looked in the house. He was very respectful of our budget as well. Nick the owner was also excellent to work with. He rushed our carpet order because we had a tight timeline, and afterwards I ended up needing to change the original date of our installation due to outside factors and he was very accommodating with making sure we could still get our new carpets put in before we moved furniture into our new home. We had a great experience. Needed to carpet a staircase and a small landing area. Nick was super easy and helpful to deal with. He made suggestions without being pushy, gave us samples to take home. Once we decided, he came over within a day or two to measure. We got a quote that day and scheduled the installers to do the job in a couple of weeks. Later the same day he called and said they could do it sooner if we chose. The installers, Billy and Joel (really) we're on time, very friendly and respectful. I recently needed an odd sized area rug for living room in our Condo. A neighbor suggested NJ Marathas Carpeting in Canton. We met Nick at the Canton show room and was able to view an amazing number of options. We were also given the opportunity to bring home samples to see if the colors would work. Just had rugs installed in 3 bedrooms. Billy and Joel, the installers, were terrific! Very friendly, experienced and did a terrific job. They also left the place vacuumed and spotless! In addition, they repaired a big pull, from my dog, in my 2 yr. old rug previously installed. I can't believe how well they fixed it. Like magic, you can't even tell it happened! Last but not least, Nick Marathas is the best! So helpful from the timeliness of coming out to measure, recommendations to installation time, and price, you just can't go wrong.
