The food was okay, but for me, the experience was definitely more of the draw than the food itself. I'm not a huge fan of mayonnaise-based sandwiches (and I'm also not a big cucumber fan), and the majority of the savory options were variations of chicken salad, egg salad, and other mayo-based sandwiches. They also had nut butter/peanut butter sandwiches, different hummus sandwiches, and a cucumber and cream cheese sandwich. If you love those types of finger sandwiches, you'll probably really enjoy the food selection. For me, though, $50+ felt a little steep if I were going primarily for the food. I actually visited years ago with my daughter when she was around 4 or 5 and quickly realized it wasn't quite the mom-and-daughter tea-party experience I had envisioned. Coming back this time with friends, however, was a completely different experience, and we had a really fun afternoon together. They've also done a TON of renovations since my first visit, and the interior is really pretty and makes the whole experience feel special. Overall, I'd say this is much more about the experience and atmosphere than the food. I don't know their exact hours of operation but they were open by 6:00 AM each morning and closed around midnight during my stay here, they offered light breakfast fare and light snacks and small plates during the day. The staff operating this bar / cafe were super friendly during my visits and they always had plenty of help on hand to handle the large groups of people passing through between conference meetings. There are plenty of options in the area surrounding the hotel but this little bar is the most convenient if you prefer to stay on site. As you'd expect the prices here are quite expensive, including tax a can of pop will cost you $5.10 and if you planning an afternoon at the bar be prepared to spend a considerable amount more than you'd spend at bars offsite, a double Glenfiddich 15 Year Reserve will cost you about $42.00 before taxes and an additional 19% service fee but the pours are good...
