It's fun to dress up and come here for tea and a selection of tea foods. First, make sure you come hungry. It is so much food. I got the chicken salad on a croissant and the nut butter on white. I think next time I'll try egg salad on white as my half sandwich. You get three different types of scones, I ended up taking two home I couldn't finish it. They have so many different types of tea. This time I got coconut chai which was good. I probably will continue to try different teas. Everyone here is so friendly and it's impossible to be at a tea room and not be happy. I came here with my girls for an early Galentine's Day. One of my girls had to cancel last minute at 11 PM the night before. Our reservation was at 10:00 AM. We were just going to eat the cost since it was late notice. They were very kind to waive our cancellation fee and didn't charge us for the spot. I made sure to make it up in gratuity! One of my girls is gluten free and was asked if it was okay if their food was served on the tiered tower with the other foods. The tea room is pretty big and can sit several parties. We did the Afternoon Tea Experience. We each chose a tea and got a personal pot of it to ourselves! It was more than enough. I got the white strawberry basil but I actually enjoyed my friend's white peach more. The starter salad was refreshing. You get 1 and a half sandwich. The egg salad on croissant was super yummy and the cucumber cream cheese is a tea time classic. The scones were soft and weren't as hard as normal scones were. It was almost like a cookie texture which I enjoyed greatly. I was stuffed and couldn't even get to the top tier with desserts. I took most of my pasteries home. Our group was actually the loudest (sorry other guests!). Our timing was perfect because as we were leaving a birthday party arrived and of course was louder than our small group. Go early! Definitely the cutest tea spot to hang with friends! I loved the atmosphere, almost like Bridgerton vibes. The tea was probably my favorite part, especially with the large array of tea choices (flavors, caffeine levels, etc). I tried the ham salad sandwich with chips, peanut butter brownie, and lemon berry mascarpone cake. Overall the food was okay. The quality is the best gf /df food/pastries we've had in Florida. Even though the croissant is only vegan (not gf) the quality of the sandwich bread is just like fresh homemaid bread. The music in the background was perfectly soothing & joyous, which added a nice background during our 2 hour tea time celebration. The many selfie stations around were fun to get group shots in. I was worried this was "tea service only", but luckily they have an a la carte menu you can order from too, including individual teas. Since I'm watching my carbs, there's not really whole lot in the way of food for me, but there are plenty of beverages. They had a huge assortment of teas and every tea can be made either hot or iced. I prefer iced, especially for the flavored teas, since it really brings out the flavor. I don't use anything to sweeten my teas, although you certainly can. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about the tea and was able to handle steeping requests too. Even though I'm from out of town, I came here twice - once with a friend and once to do some work. I worked on a morning weekday when the place was quieter. What a unique and charming spot! A group of friends, we have lunch in a different place each month, someplace we haven't been to before and this was our choice for November. It's a bit hidden in a low traffic strip off a frontage road but once you find it, it's completely worth the trip. The service was very attentive and friendly and the food choices were varied. My husband and I came here for afternoon tea on a Sunday. We made reservations online, which was nice. The website was a little tricky to navigate. Decor - Decor is different and fun with lots of bright colors. More of a modern twist, lot of different things going on. Service - They seemed a little short staffed, we sat at our table for about 10 min, and then she came over with sparkling wine and a menu. I wish we had gotten the menu when we sat down so we could've looked it over while waiting. Our server also brought us chocolate covered strawberries with our sparkling wine, which was odd since we hadn't even eaten yet. I think they need to switch this up and bring these out with the tiers. Tea - Huge selection - I do wish they had small descriptions of the flavor profile of the teas. I asked our server, and she wasn't too sure what exactly was in mine. I also had a leaking tea pot with a crack in it. Sandwiches and salad - They start the tea off with a berry salad, which was good. Sandwiches were decent, but they didn't knock my socks off. I wasn't a fan of eating a whole sandwich and then one small sandwich. I'd rather try 3 halves so I can try different things. They weren't bad but just didn't give me the tea vibe. We got the chicken salad, nut butter, cucumber and cream cheese, and egg salad. All were decent, but to me, afternoon tea isn't croissants, but finger tea sandwiches with an assortment. Scones - I'm not sure if the menu says scones, but these weren't scones. They were good but tasted more like a muffin or cookie. I can't describe it, but it wasn't a scone. Again, it was good, just not a traditional scone, which is what I associate afternoon tea with. Desserts - These were okay. They didn't taste homemade. I think this is a decent spot if you're looking for a different spot for a ladies' lunch or a cute place to take your daughter, but i didn't get the afternoon tea feel just more of a luncheon. They're opening another location soon for tea mock tails in Dunedin on Main Street and I can't wait to try that as well! The service started with the summer salad and tea. The bottom tier tea sandwiches: your choice of a full sandwich off the menu and a half watercress sandwich. My choice of sandwich was the supreme chicken salad on a croissant. 7/10. The Watercress sandwich was excellent 10/10. Fresh cut cucumbers and cream cheese with seasoning. The middle tier had three scones. Blueberry, cranberry, and cinnamon. My favorite was the blueberry. The jam and homemade Devonshire cream was amazing. 10/10 The top tier desserts. I made arrangements online on their web site to have a Saturday afternoon tea experience with my wonderful wife at Joseph's Tea. The one opening was 2:30pm so that worked for us! We arrived on time and the place was sparkling clean and well decorated. We were greeted and sat at our table. No problemo! We'd always dressed fancily for tea in London but this is Clearwater after all. So, I wore a button down shirt with my shorts and all was well. Perhaps I'd wear a full suit and tie if it wasn't 94 degrees and 94% humidity outside! But, for real, shorts were fine and we were comfortable in the AC. First choice is what kind of tea to get... they have over 70 flavors! Luckily, the two of us each get to select our own pot. My wife got lavender earl grey and I selected peach mango. Both, of the caffeinated variety! The teas were nicely organized on the menu by how much caffeine they contain ranging from lots to little to none. We also selected our tea sandwiches but we went with the standard, which is cucumber, egg and chicken salad sandwiches. The preparation is not identical to what you may receive in London but it's similar. For example, Joseph's Tea serves some sandwiches on croissants which, in our experience, isn't done in London. Variety is the spice of life! We relaxed for a short while and received our three tiered china tray of sandwiches, scones with whipped thick cream, rich jam, plus a top tier of desserts. It was great fun to take our time, try almost everything, and then get the remainders to go since it was simply too much food for us. Shannon and Guerby, the owners were super nice and helpful. We ordered some extra desserts and a vegan sandwich to go because, why not? We also got a nice package of tea as a gift for our tea-loving neighbor. Very small space; if all tables were filled I can't imagine how cramped it would feel. They are currently expanding which will help the feel of the space. Luckily we were the only table for the majority of our dining experience but there were people sitting at the bar immediately behind us. Tea: HUGE selection and HUGE pots served with afternoon tea. It's overwhelming how many options there are and the amount you get is almost too much for one person. They do offer to go cups if you can't finish your pot (neither of us could!) Decor: cute, cute, cute. Gold silverware, beautiful teapots, gorgeous teaspoons, gold accents throughout, stamped concrete floor buuuuut with alllll that cuteness I was handed a plastic bottle of honey with my tea and there was a container of sweeteners on our table instead of sugar cubes. Food: Just okay. I wanted to love it because tea sandwiches are so fun but these kinda missed the mark. Nothing tasted homemade. I could've hit Publix, grabbed some deli chicken salad and a pack of croissants and gotten the same effect. Same with the cucumber sandwich- which I've also never seen served with the skin still on, so that was different. No special herbs in the cream cheese, nothing that wowed me. The tea selections were vast.The sandwiches were average. I was hungry so I ate them It was ok,nothing special. If you are coming for the food it's not the goal here..the goal was the experience. The desserts were nice, Im not a big sweets eater so I took mine to go. I really liked the salad with strawberries. Our server was polite, we did both think it would be fun if they dressed more "tea" like. They had on fascinator, but regular clothes.I read a few reviews before we came, I was a bit hesitant to review because the owner was not always polite in responding, so I'll say this... the food was ok, edible but not desired again and there was another tea option at the Vinoy in St Pete which I will try next time. It was "ok" and fun for my birthday. I also thought it was odd that every group that came was seated towards the front, close to each other with a whole dining room to utilize. I also thought it was weird that the owner has her wedding photo (huge) on the wall in the dining room and it was behind me in every picture I took. I wanted to try this place out with my adult daughter because I envisioned us and my daughter-in-law coming here together for an afternoon tea. Unfortunately it fell short and I am not sure I will be returning. I have done an afternoon tea before so my comparison may be the one to stick to. The actual problem with this place for me is the food. The tea was very good. The waitress was fine but our lunch was a big disappointment. There are many places offering better. I feel this place has the potential but they have to be willing to change some things. We ordered sandwiches for lunch and the menu says they are prepared on your choice of bread. It turns out the choices are white, wheat or a croissant. I am not kidding when I say there is absolutely nothing special about the breads at all...they taste like any inexpensive store bought bread.. My daughter liked her ham salad sandwich but I found my chicken salad sandwich to be pulverized into baby food consistency. I have never had chicken salad like that before. The only side option offered is chips... regular or kettle. At a tea house? I just found this very disappointing. I was envisioning a special lunch of upscale sandwiches on gourmet like (local) breads and a choice of a side...2 or 3 options that are NOT potato chips would have been ideal. Found out about this place from a coworker who purchased some of their jasmine green tea at a farmer's market they were attending. I fell in love with the flavor of the tea and had to find out more on this tea shop. Located in Clearwater/Largo area so it was a bit of a drive for us but we made it. Booked the reservation via Facebook messenger and it was easy peasy! One of our guests had a dietary restriction and needed food to be gluten free. Well not an issue here! The owner also has a gluten allergy and offers gluten free options if requested. Greeted right when we walked in. Our table was already set up and we all took a seat. Love the colors and decor of the shop and love the tea pots!! We got to choose our tea flavor and our was brought out in the most pretty tea pots. We were then served with a 3 tier tray of goodies including chicken salad sandwiches, egg salad sandwiches, macaroons and scones. The tea tower is how others have described, yes you get your choice of a FULL sandwich and a half! This is amazing. If your aunt Sally bought a place in a strip mall, and the surrounding areas were under construction, and you could see the high way from the window- but she had a pretty good idea and a lot of fake plants- this would be it. Surprisingly popular for what it is- the tea room sits in a very seemingly random location in Clearwater. Once inside, you are transported to your Aunt Sally's living room, if she happened to have a lot of help decorating. There are fake plants hung from the ceiling with little Christmas lights in them, cute velvet chairs for sitting, and a lot of tea pots. It looks like someone went to a boutique flea market and bought everything in sight. The food was good, not great. The sandwiches and salads I tried were average caliber. But no one comes here for the food. The experience is afternoon tea. We saw whole parties dressed up in their best 1800s costumes. The afternoon tea was a cute experience. They bring out lots of sandwiches, little treats- macarons, biscuits, cookies. It wasn't as pricey as places like Oxford Exchange but also nowhere near as beautiful or engulfing. I have had the pleasure to get to know Shannon and Guerby Joseph over the past few months. I am proud to say they have become like family to me. Joseph's Tea offers two tea services: Afternoon Tea and the Deluxe Tea. The Afternoon Tea is everything listed below with the exception of the champagne and strawberries. I have upgraded to the Deluxe Tea Experience the three times I have visited. This includes the following: ~ a glass of champagne ~ one teapot of tea from their amazing list of choices ~ Berry Delight Salad ~ a selection of delicious tea sandwiches ~ assortment of pastries and scones ~ petite desserts ~ two chocolate covered strawberries Most everything served is made fresh in-house and DELICIOUS. A tea novice may think that there is not enough food. Trust me, there is plenty to eat and you may even take several things home. I love the dressing and the pairing of fruits and nuts on the Berry Delight Salad. This combination is magically flavorful. The tea sandwiches are excellent. I have tried most of the selections with the exception of their PB & J and their Veggie & Hummus Delight sandwiches. My favorite is their Chicken Salad on a croissant. The pastries, scones, and desserts are just as tasty. I have been a HUGE Clotted Cream fan forever and I love slathering it on the pastries. My favorite are the white chocolate and raspberry scones. The chocolate covered strawberries are the icing on the cake and very delicious. If you want to take your tea service to another level, definitely upgrade to the Deluxe Afternoon Tea. Joseph's Tea offers more than seventy five varieties of tea. All these teas are made in-house and range in variety of caffeine levels. My absolute favorite is the Blue Mango Butterfly Pea Tea. Not only does it taste phenomenal, the color of the tea is mesmerizing. If you squeeze a lemon into your tea, it will turn purple. If you choose to sweeten your tea, you will notice that there are no sugar crystals or sugar cubes. There is a simple reason for this: COVID. Hopefully, now that the CDC has eased restrictions, these will be able to return. The selection of teas are also sold in the retail store. There is also a full menu of sandwiches, pastries, and desserts you can order to-go or to enjoy in the tea room. I highly recommend Joseph's Tea for a wonderful experience. Just took my stepmom here for her birthday. We love a good tea. The location isn't great but they make up for it with charming decor and friendly staff. They have so many teas to choose from! I loved how the menu separated them by caffeine levels. I got a raspberry earl grey that was delicious! The food is good. Maybe not the best tea house food I've ever had, but I think worth the cost and there's plenty. The owner stopped by and greeted us and was very nice. The whole staff was friendly and service was expedient. I would recommend this place if you love an afternoon tea and it's nice to Jack one in Clearwater. read more

What an adorable tea room. I made reservations and it was super simple. When we got their we got the best table in the house the corner with a beautiful picture of the Effile tower. The food was delicious. I was afraid I'd be hungry still but was pleasantly surprised that I was completely stuffed. The teas are delicious and cannot wait to go back again! read more

A friend and I came here for a going away get together- even though we came in just an hour or so before closing, we never once felt rushed. The wife took great care of us and we got to meet the husband and mom as well- truly a family effort here. The decor is super calming and classy- really nice and modern- makes for great photos. The tea pots make lots of servings so definitely shareable. The desserts are bite sized but other than that I feel like the pricing is reasonable. Everything I tried was great. The teas are very fresh and come in so many flavors and didn't have any overly strong artificial smelling scents. The staff was very accommodating and over all just one of the nicest customer service experiences I've had in recent times. Definitely was happy to support a newer local business and to have afternoon tea available on this side of the bridge. read more

Today we took a trip to an exciting new addition to the Tampa Tea Scene, Joseph's Tea in Clearwater, Florida. They've been open about six months and have a full range of teas available. The decor is very elegant, with Tiffany blue walls adorned with bright gold pieces, you'll feel transported to Manhattan. The afternoon tea service started with a choice of your favorite tea in your very own tea pot. The first course was a berry salad (greens, strawberries, blueberries, candied walnuts, and a tangy berry vinaigrette), and it was a great start to the tea. After salad, the tea tray was brought out, loaded to the top with delightful bites, from egg salad, tuna salad, chicken salad and cucumber sandwiches, to the best shelf, as I call it, the scone shelf with its blueberry scones, apple scones and tea biscuits, to the top shelf with its macarons, petits fours, and seven layer cookie bars. Whew! I bet I missed somethings, because the variety and volume were enough for every taste and palette. The scones were served with strawberry jelly and homemade Devonshire cream! What a treat! If you're looking for a new place to have afternoon tea, and you're in the Clearwater, Florida area, be sure to look at Joseph's Tea. I had a great experience at afternoon tea. The salad was very good. I ordered the blackberry jasmine green tea. It was a lot of tea. Everyone in my party was able to have a cup of my kettle of tea. I drank multiple cups. I enjoyed the sandwiches. I also bought tea leaves to make at home. It was a great experience. The owners are very attentive and made you feel at home. read more

What an absolute DREAM! I was visiting my in-laws and Googled "tea room near me" just to see what happened and Joseph's was ten minutes away. We walked in early afternoon on Thursday and were seated right away. I'm a tea snob but I was intimidated by the selection; my husband and his mother religiously drink coffee. The staff was so nice and patient! Our server helped us pick the perfect tea (and also didn't judge us when we ordered way too many pastries). My only negative thought: the owners are from NYC...just like me. Can you guys please come back??? read more
