Went in today last minute for pedi and fill and Paul did a great job on my nails ..looks exactly like the picture I showed him

I visited this place while in Indianapolis for a wedding. I wanted a nail refresher because that what us ladies like to do for a special occasion. My mom picked this place because it wasn't too far away from her house. We go there and I'm already skeptical because area but then we go in... the two black young ladies are sitting at the desks at the front and the two Asian ladies and gentleman is in the back... there was only one person getting serviced in the salon. We asked for the next available appointment. The black lady with the very colorful hair states her and her teammate were free and could take me and my mom. I was excited because I had never had a black lady so my nails. 1.) the black lady that took me came from outside. When she sat down the strong aroma of marijuana was so strong that it made me dizzy. 2.) She was not attentive, kind, or customer service friendly... she barley said anything to me. She was twisting my fingers to file. She was extremely rough file using the drill. 2.5) the nails were all different types of thickness. Some were bulky and some were super thin. Didn't notice this until we left. 3.) I got a fill and polish change ONLY. She charges me $60 bucks. I flat out asked her how was this possible because it was a fill and polish... she said "that's my price. I do this as a side hustle. I make my prices". (I literally thought this was a joke) 1.) The black lady with the colorful hair assisted my mom. My mom got a full set, shellac, and a pedicure. She was fairly happy with her nail tech. She was friendly, very tentative, and upbeat. The only thing about her is she took about 2 hours. 2.) My moms nails were about the same as mine. Some thick and some thin. 3.) My mom was charged $25 bucks. (I didn't know this until we left. As soon as we left one of my moms nails (a thin nail) broke. I called the nail salon and asked to speak to a manager or owner. The Asian gentleman stated that would be him. I asked him about my pricing vs. my moms pricing and if the two black ladies were licensed ... he pretended he no longer spoke English. Long story short I ended up calling my credit card company and disputing the charges and won. This shop is allowing no licensed people to work in their shop. read more

I went in on Friday for a dip manicure. By Sunday the dip had chipped and was lifting off my nails. I called Tuesday to come back in so they could fix it and the owner told me it wasn't his problem. Said I'd have to pay him to fix it because another employee did the initial manicure but she wouldn't be back in until Wednesday afternoon. When I asked if there was anyone else who did dip he said he did but If I wanted it fixed that was our problem and I'd have to work it out with her. Very poor customer service. Place smells like a bathroom and when I was there the first time (Friday), the owner was in the back yelling at his daughter about her struggling with math homework. 0/10. Every time I go I walk out so happy!!! The customer service is excellent, they always have the colors and types of polish I want, they stay up on trends, and they do a stellar job! I've been going for a little less than a year and can't wait to get back once the pandemic ends read more

I have frequented this place for years. They have always done a very good job. I took my 84 year old mother here recently. She doesn't get around easily. By the time I pulled up to the front of the store, they were outside the door to assist. They went out of their way to get her into the shop, helping her with her rollater and holding the door etc. I was very impressed by this gesture. Furthermore, they did her manicure as she sat in the pedicure chair which was also extremely helpful. I didn't have to ask for any of this extra assistance, they just understood her limitations and did what needed to be done. An added bonus not expected but well appreciated was while my mom was under the nail dryers, one lady brought over a hot stone and massaged her back for a few minutes. She really enjoyed it! I was there for eyebrow waxing. I have had this service performed at many different places. Sometimes after I have it done, there is some minor bleeding and irritation. I have never had that happen here. I am very happy with this nail shop, the people who work there and the services they provide! read more

This place is horrible. I got my feet done by the black nail tech. On my cruise one touch in the sand 3 toes on each foot ail polish was gone! I stumbled upon this gem while looking for a last minute fillin. As soon as I walked in it's nothing extravagant it's a nail shop, the inside is dated. They have more of gel nail polish colors than regular polish (that's the star dedication). They are friendly and very quick. I was told I needed a new set of nails I agreed they did look rough. got a new set of nails for $40 not bad at all, that's usually a regular fillin at a "prestigious" salon. He (I think his name is Paul) even saved my natural nails. He was very quick ( they were about to close) and still did a good job. I do recommend them. I will be back, is closer to me and the quality of the service was good. read more

3 days agoNEW I had the worse experience ever in my history of getting my nails done. I'm from NWI area and was attending a funeral in Indianapolis. I went into Na Nails on Lafayette. My technician was named Alexia. I request a pedicure and gel manicure on my natural nails. After leaving, within 30 minutes the nails looked bubbled. I did not have time to go back that day, so I decided to go back the next day before I got on the road to go home. When I got there I explain what happened to the nail tech. She mentioned my issue to the owner. I was okay with a total do over until the nail tech drilled instead of soaking my nails. She continued to do a poor job and made matters worse than they were. I asked for a refund and this is how the fight got started. They tried to say I messed up my nails after leaving the salon. I requested for a gel set. A gel set suppose to be completely dry before the client leaves the shop. It will not matter if the person bump, dip in water the nails are suppose to not be damaged nor should the polish lifts. The nail tech admitted the set was not properly cured. She knew she was having a problem while doing the process on one finger. This resulted in the police coming and me loosing at least 50 dollars. The owner of this establishment named Paul is rude and his tone was unacceptable. I was angry of course. Rude no. He accused me of being rude and I never not once cursed him out. I should have tho. One customer stood up while another one filmed. I hope this never happens to another person inside Na Nails located in Indianapolis, IN on Lafayette St. read more

Nana always does a great job with my pedicure, finishing off with a hot stone massage. And her eyebrow waxing can't be beat! They have friendly nail techs and I appreciate them being open during the bad weather, but my experience wasn't a good one. I haven't been at this nail shop for several years. I can truly say I remember why I haven't gone in a long time. I went to get my dip nail removed and it wasn't successful. I left with weak nail beads. My nails are currently recovering from all of the drilling in effort to remove the dip off of my real nails. This isn't the spot for me. read more

I love NA Nails the lady that does my nails and toes is awesome I have been going since I moved on the Northwest side of town and they have lots of different colors to choose from and the quality is great I've never broken a nail even if I can't make it right at my two week mark for a fill in! By far the best nail salon I've found on the west side. The ladies do a quality job and have a wide selection of colors, textures, and artistic effects for nails. They do a great job if you bring a picture to work with or have an idea of what you want. Like many working women, I have very little time to get my nails done, so when I do I want it to last and look good. I've tried most of the high rated places on this side of town. None of them have lived up to the rating for me and one was ridiculously expensive and my nails started shipping the next day. Honestly this place is a little gem. Wish I'd found it a year ago. The low ratings here seem to be about having to wait too long. To get your nails done on Saturday at the High Time, why would you expect to walk right in? Treat yo self. Every so often I decide my paws are looking a little rough -and beyond repair and that it's time I take them to a professional to spruce them up. My co-worker has been going here for years and recommended I visit NaNa. She was wonderful! I was amazed at home many shellac colors were available: literally more than 100 colors were available, way more than any other salon I had ever been to, which made selecting a color a challenge. NaNa gave my hands the tlc they needed and applied the merlot polish I selected with precision. She then grabbed got stones and gave me a brief- but very enjoyable shoulder and back massage. She had a great sense of humor, and I enjoyed talking to her, too. I couldn't believe it was only $30 for a shellac manicure! I will be coming back! read more

I've been on the northwest side now for a few months and I continually come back to this little gem. Not much to look at really, but they have good equipment and in my book, that's what matters. By happy accident, Trang ended up my nail tech the first time and I come back every time just to see her. I always go for the gel manicure and sometimes get my eyebrows waxed as well and they ALWAYS do a great job. They're very friendly and take pride in their work. Yes, sometimes there's a wait and no, they don't take appointments, but if I can't wait - I don't even consider going elsewhere. I'll just come back when I have more time. The Shop is clean. They seem to value their customers. I got gels nails. The first one lasted a lil over a week. I'm Used to it lasting almost 2weeks. The second time, my polish chipped the very next day. I went in twice to have them repaired. Each time they graciously prepared them for free and apologized. I appreciated that but It was a hassle. The service is fast and they get you in and out but not sure I like the way my last gel nail manicures haven't lasted longer. I Would star higher if not for this! read more

Half a star...none if I could. When you have natural nails with a gel Polish on them and you ask them to soak the Polish off so they don't drill your nails and they soak the polish off and used the drill as well to make your nails so thin that it BURNS when they try to polish them again...?... REALLY????? They were busy and wanted to take short cuts. My manicure consisted of sticking my fingers in the water pulling them out no cuticle oil but pushing my cuticles back no cuticle oil but trimming my cuticles with cuticle trimmers. This has to be the WORST place I have ever been to. I only put 1 star, because no star isnt an option. Stopped by here to get my nails repaired and filled because we seen it had almost a 5 start rating, the nail tech i had was the male, he is extremely rude yanking my hands around and starts filing away at the gel polish so much so that he burned me and I asked him to be careful and then he did it again and this time he cuts me, leaves a large cut on finger that started to bleed pretty bad, I asked if i could wash my hands, he ignores me and puts clear coat over it to stop the bleeding. At this point I'm mortified and ready to go, but I knew I'd be charged anyway so I might as well stay and let him paint them, he then blatantly ignores the request I made as far as length, shape and design and does his own thing with the colors, at this point I'm irritated and I politely tell him that I'm done and im ready to leave. I hand him my card and he brings me a receipt, I'm so upset I didn't even read the price I just left. I get a bank statement saying I was charged quite a bit of money, i called and asked as to why i was charged this amount, it was the man, he was very argumentative and rude and kept screaming at me, even said "well why the fuck didn't you say something when you were here?" I know that nothing can be done for me and that I'm out all of this money so this is more so a warning to not go to this place. read more

Horrible experience customer going off when we walked in. Employee that may be the manager is very rude. Charged me $25 for a pedicure and tried to change my friend $30 when we ask at the beginning she said $25. When my friend decided not to get it done because she sat in cold water for over 1hr they told her it would be $5 for sitting in the chair. Needless to say I told her we were not paying $5 for sitting in cold water. Customers are not treated equal here what so ever and employees are either speaking their language or being rude and disrespectful to their customers. I don't recommend this place to anyone. All in all worst way to treat a paying customer and I recommend you not going here. read more

Nail lady was very aggressive when doing my pedicure. I would not suggest going here.

I wouldn't get a French manicure here. The tips are very shaky and unprofessional looking. And for a gel manicure it should have lasted much longer than a few days. I have a feeling the person who did my nails was in training, as several people kept coming over and checking on him. I'm not the expert on nail salons but I have never been less than very pleased with Na. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The recent addition of warm stones to the pedicure/leg massage was awesome! I live very close by and like to patronize my neighborhood businesses. Please give Na a visit. read more

I've come here several times because it's close, but never again. After waiting 40 minutes for a pedicure, she put all hot water in the thing. She cooled it 3 times and guilted me into saying it was ok, but it was HOT! Then she cut my big toenail which is already too short without asking. It's always something here. I went in at lunch to get a fill in with gel polish. There were no other customers in the salon. I was asked what I needed and when I said a fill with gel they acted like I was a burden. When I finally sat down I asked pricing and was told $38.00. I asked again to make sure I heard them correctly. Any other salon I had been to was $15.00 for the fill and $10.00 for the gel polish which is $25.00. They told me sorry and walked off. It was a terrible experience. read more

This used to be my go-to salon for pedicures. They do the absolute best at whittling all the dead skin off my feet, and the polish always looks beautiful. Sadly, the last three times I've been here, my pedis haven't lasted. They started to chip after only a week. I even brought in my own polish, but had the same result -- they must have gone to lower quality products. It looks like they're really focused on their gel business, and may be leaving traditional polishes behind. I see fewer and fewer OPI bottles to choose from. I hope the quality goes back up; I'd really like to return. read more

GO SEE NANA. First time visit. I waited for about 15 mins which wasn't a problem as I was finishing my Starbucks, the only one who smile and was extreme warm and welcoming was Nana, . Two other lady's skipped me for whatever reason but Nana noticed and immediately jumped into action and gave me a seat while she was busy with another client. Place is God awful. Went there for a manicure and gel polish. It was sloppy and did not cover all of my nail. I picked a darker red color that did not have any sparkle, but when they were finished, three nails on my left hand had gold sparkle all over them. I asked them to be redone and they told me they did not have time and I could come back at 6 PM. Mind you, I was there at 11 AM to get them done and there was only one other person there getting a pedicure. I asked if I could come back on Saturday and they said no "we too busy". The salon looks clean & the staff was friendly & professional. The prices seemed standard; $25 for regular pedicure. However, the tools were already in the little cart, so I have no idea if they were freshly cleaned. I saw no sterilizer in sight. It wasn't a very aggressive pedi; if you know what I mean. She didn't buff the top layer of my toe nails (which I needed, nacause I leave my polish on too long & my nail discolors). She also didn't trim the corners of my nails which tends to get a bit ingrown. But, considering I was questioning the cleanliness of the tools, I guess it's just as well. Then while my nails were drying, I removed the toe separators & threw them in the basket which had others & pedi flip flops in it. Then another lady was seated across from me & discovered that she needed toe separators & the lady who worked there just grabbed a pair out of the basket & put them on her. Which makes me think, if they reuse those, they might not clean tools between every customer. All said, my toes do look nice, but I would be leary of going back. read more

I arrived and was asked how I was paying. I stated that I would use a credit card. I was then told the credit card machine was not working. I went home to get check book and returned to be seated in the foot bowl chair while Nakita finished a client. I sat for awhile...the water became cool:-( Nakita was getting ready to start on a client that came in after me and I was not having that. Nakita stated that she would not be long with this client, so I started to leave. Nakita then came over to start me. When Nakita came to start on me, I asked for warm water. She did not apply the cuticle cream, even though she swore she did. The paint job was good. As I was writing the check, Nikita told me not to worry about writing the company name because she had a company stamp. So I left it blank. WELL, when I balanced my checkbook, I was SHOCKED to see that Nakita Nguyen wrote the check to herself! I can't stand a liar or cheat. So, I will not return. I hope this is NOT the normal practice! This was the first nail salon that I visited when I moved into my house 13 years ago. The owner was very friendly along with her staff. About 3-4 years ago I stopped going due to the lack of friendliness and rude demeanor from the same owner. Today I decided to give it another try and went in for a simple manicure with gel polish. When I asked for a break down of what it would cost she acted irritated. Then I asked that she wrap my nails with remover and cotton to get the existing gel polish off in lieu of using the electric tool that would damage my real nails. She told me that that's how she does it and didn't want to budge on accommodating my request. I respectfully declined her services and walked out. I'm sure me not getting services today from her won't break her. But I was happy with my decision to leave and not support a business who is all about quantity and not willing to work with the customer. I ended up at USA nails on 86th and I didn't even have to ask for them to wrap my nails. As soon as I sat down and told her what I wanted she begin the process of preserving the health of my nails! The way it should be done. I will never go back to NA nails. They do have some really good workers but I will not support a place that has such an unprofessional owner! read more

Please take the time to read. I would not waste my time writing a review like this if I didn't think it was necessary. This was my last draw. I have been going to this salon for over a year and the manager's attitude have always been bad. I should had left long before now. The customer service is terrible! I would not recommend this salon to anyone! It doesn't even deserve to be called a salon! Employee that may be the manager (Nikita) is VERY RUDE like someone said in an earlier post. She normally sits in the first station as you walk in. What others are saying about this so-called manager is true, believe me. She watches and talks badly about "certain customers" usually minorities. As she was doing my nails, I witnessed and listened to her watching and constantly telling me about how people steal their polish as this young black girl was trying to select a color. She could hardly do my nails for watching this girl. To boot, their nail polish are so thinned out by them adding so much acetone to stretch it, who would want to steal them anyway? Another time, a mother was helping her small child pick out a color for her nails to be polished. The small girl dropped and broke the bottle of polish and Nikita wanted the mother to pay for the polish. I got an ear full about that as well. I sat and heard about that for 45 minutes while she did my nails. She even gets upset when the holidays roll around and the nail salon get crowded. She said she hates the holidays because people come from everywhere that's not the regulars and she doesn't like that. You would think this would be a good thing, but not for her. She is very easily irritated. She gets highly upset when you tell her how you like your nails. She wants to do your nails her way. I tried to tell her I like my nails narrow and thin, and she told me that I need to let her do her job. Then she told me if I did not like the way she does my nails to go elsewhere. I immediately told her to stop. We exchanged words. She charged me $15 for the fill-in, $12 to polish my toes and tried to charge me $3 extra for waiting three weeks. Some nerve!!!! To boot, no prices are posted; so, please ask ahead. She did a lousy job on all my services that day because she was upset with me asking for what I wanted. I demanded my money back. She refunded me $8 of the total. I told her I was not happy with the quality or the service. Then low and behold, when I looked at my account, she charged my account more than what I authorized. I will never patronize this business again and I advise everyone else to do the same. By the way, I called the bank and told them about the unauthorized charge and they credited my account. PLEASE, PLEASE watch the charges on your account. She will make unauthorized charges and will try to charge you for every little thing she can possibly charge you for. We need to stand together to show this establishment that they need our business and customer service is imperative to stay in business.
