I would like to make a revision and say that the office reached out to me apologized, and though she apologized, and I do appreciate that the experience was still the experience I hadn't seen the doctor so I can't speak about the doctor. Poor customer service their front desk lacks heavily on customer service skills at all of their locations, in fact we felt they did not want to see patients they told us to get a referral from our physician for different cardiologist. Clinic was empty and doctor was free no patients at their facility yet they say they do not have any appointments also very racist with their behavior. I am an existing patient. I like this doctor but I have had MAJOR issues from office staff (dropped balls, broken promises, rudeness that wont quit). This is more in regards to the front desk staff, I was absolutely shocked to see one of the girls at the front desk yesterday wearing her mask below her nose and then taking it off completely to walk around the office. This is absolutely inexcusable and this woman should be fired! I have lost a tremendous amount of respect for this entire office after seeing this, no one seems to care. This is a medical office for chrissake! WTH? Can I report this office to someone? This is incredibly unethical given the current situation. I see Dr. Berke here but he is not listed so I cannot leave him a separate review. I like the guy, He shows obvious concern and is helpful but you cannot get a word in edgewise he constantly speaks over you. This has always been a huge source of annoyance for me it's very disrespectful. I actually have put off seeking medical care because this annoys me so much which is not good. I'm not sure if he only does it to women but it is very rude. It is important for a doctor to actually listen to their patient. He has actually walked out the door and closed it while I was speaking to him on previous occasions. Former cardiologist of mine while living in Castro Valley. Moved away and found another cardiologist. First thing my new cardiologist said: "you have a VERY serious heart problem!" I was under Dr Abudayeh's care for several years and was never told I had a serious heart condition. A surgery was ordered immediately by my new cardiologist. Probably saved my life. This doctor is incompetent. Other heart problems have come up present day that relate back to my time in Castro Valley with Doctor Abudayeh; he should have addressed them back then but never did. I wish I had believed in Yelp's reviews about this doctor before going to my appointment in Walnut Creek. I can't say anything about his medical competence but can say that his practice is very disrespectful to other people's time (as you can see a trend on other Yelp reviews). The lady before me had been waiting for 45 minutes when she lost patience and decide to rebook her appointment. Dr. Abudayeh's assistance came to pick her up with 50 minutes delay. Seen that and the fact that my paperwork was requested 25 minutes after my scheduled time, I wonder when I was going to be called and left. Never again. I have never seen doctor worse, then Dr. Abudayeh! He was one hour late for the appointment and offered no apologies or explanations, when he finally arrived. There was no conversation with the patient, rather interrogation in rapid pace of the 85 years old patient with heart condition. He was rude, disparaging, he even did not look in the face to the patient he was going to treat. Is he always treat his patients as a piece of furniture? No wonder this patient got blood pressure 195/120 after 15 minutes in same room with Dr.Abudayeh! Is he really a Cardiology specialist? Usually don't complain about anyone but I should have look at his reviews previously. Great knowledgeable doctor but books 2 patients at the same time. I waited over a hour and asked if he can just call me (followup appointment) with the test results. I was told by the nurse that he doesn't do that. Asked her to have him review my test results and if anything urgent, contact me for followup meeting. She said she will try to get back to me in 2 days. Staff member felt it was ok to look through my medical record with no release of record on file with them. This information is private and supposed to be between a Doctor and their Patient. Not sure what Staffing drama they have but not getting a good vibe. Communication with Staff and Doctor's didn't seem to be happening. They either don't communicate messages or their priorities are non-existent? I've not met their Doctor's but the environment... I didn't feel safe. My privacy was violated. It seems to be an on-going issue? I'm looking elsewhere. They also closed the office before their normal posted business hours. I came to ask a question and make an appointment. Phone calls go to voicemail. I was able to make an appt but then cancelled my appt due to loss of trust. I don't like writing reviews on Yelp, especially negative. I hope their Physician's will read these and be proactive with their Staff and Management of the Offices. read more

Very unsatisfied with the service from this office! I would love to see this doctor but they are not very good at scheduling appointments. I am a new patient and I called with strep throat and they refuse to let me see the doctor. Working in the medical office myself I know to schedule urgent appointments and the front desk receptionist refuses to help me get in, she is very rude. I am fully aware of a busy office but to not have ONE urgent slot to treat me is just unprofessional. I work right down the street from the for internal medicine and I do front and back office. I have been trying to get in since October and then I try calling because I got strep throat and I have children and she refuses to get me in until January 20th. I hope someone gets better service but I do believe they need to be more flexible with there schedule for patients. read more

The horror stories about the wait time are all true. My elderly mother was constantly waiting over an hour for scheduled appointments with this doctor. Then!, in March he said her valve heart valve is in fine condition and 2 months later in May she was in the hospital because of the heart valve and the doctor was nowhere to be found. I believe Yelp only posts the bad reviews and hides all the good ones. Dr. Abudayeh is a great competent physician. I've been his patient since 2009 and I can't say enough of his professionalism and great care! I feel I'm in good hands as well as 2 of my family members who are also his patients. He takes his time listening to my concerns and addressing them in the best way. He is a special doctor who offers his patients with the best care. I am truly in good hands. The wait is terrible. My clients are 93 & 99 years old. And I was wondering why they hate going to the doctor. Now I know why. Customer service is no good either. And to top it all. They don't have enough parking to Accommodate their customers. I end up parking half a mile away in the street. All in all the experience sucks... read more

If there was a zero rating, this doctor would easily receive it. His care and disregard for my father who has multiple life threatening issues has been extremely inappropriate. This doctor completely disregarded his complaints of coughing up blood, trouble breathing and an irregular heart rate. On August 9, my dad sent an email to Dr. Abudayeh concerned about coughing up real blood and this doctor NEVER return an email or phone call with any recommendations. Another disregard of health concerns. Dad followed up again on October 3 after having spent a week in the hospital in mid August with the same symptoms and he could not fit him in until the following day and to dad's surprise, he was seen by a nurse practitioner that knew nothing about his case. Dad and I went directly to the ER after this visit where he has now spent 11 days in the hospital and Dr. Abudayeh has not once called or shown up to inquire about his patient. hello yelpers, my name is abraham and my mom & i have been visiting dr nabil abudayeh, MD for years and years now as our primary care doctor and today finally, i got a chance to take on yelp and give this great guy with even greatest heart a yelp review. we started visiting nabil in 2010 in his clinic wen my wife was pregnant and he took care us so well that i had to switch my moms 15 yo primary care doctor to Dr Nabil and after few visits my mom was so thankful to dr Nabil that she bought flowers for his office. very humble, caring, highly social, modest, easy to interact with, always kind words. indulgent, considerate, & helpful true human with warm heart for his patients. a few things i'm thankful to in life that i give importance to, dr Nabil is definitely one of them. thank you sir for spreading so much love and taking care of your patients like your own family. we appreciate you and keep the awesome work and positive energy flowing. read more

Dr Abudayeh may be a good cardiologist but a one hour wait is unacceptable. Again today there are four patients waiting; three of whom haven't been checked in. Two patients are in wheelchairs and the waiting room is full. The receptionist doesn't look directly at the elderly people when she speaks to them and thus has to repeat her questions over again several times. The representative from Medtronic, Chris, comes to check patient's pacemakers and is never on time either. Oops! Another patient arrived. Our appointment was at 2:15 and it's 2:45. Absolutely terrible customer service, especially keeping all these elderly people waiting. One poor woman is a wheelchair needs to use the restroom and this will be hard for her to do on her own. Luz at the front desk is an absolute nightmare and liability to this office. She is as uncaring and unprofessional as they come. Dr. Abudayeh's patients might be dying on the phone with her, and her demeanor remains unwavering in how callous and vitriolic it is. She clearly hates her job, and this is unfortunate as Dr. Abudayeh is a great doctor and man of character. It would seem that he's simply settled when it comes to his front office staff. While I would recommend Dr. Abudayeh until the cows com home, when Luz refuses to even put messages into the doctor unless she deems them "important enough", it almost doesn't matter how good he is. Luz, you need to go work for DMV, or the department of corrections where the conditions would suit your personality much better. read more

Doctor is out-of-date with technology and is consistently late for appointments. TECHNOLOGY: he does not communicate with you via emails or a message form from a website. You need to physically show up for a formal appointment to talk to him face to face. He won't even call you directly. People's lives are busy and it would be great to have a quick communication with your doctor for certain things, such as interpretation of lab test results. TARDINESS: I have had two appointments with the doctor. First time, I had to wait in the doctor's office for about an hour to finally see him. Second time, I waited for 30 minutes in an empty doctor's office. I came by the front desk and they told me that the doctor hadn't even arrived yet. WTF?! I had to go back to work, so I left without ever making another appointment. For these reasons, I'm switching doctors. read more

Honestly, I've only visited twice because I'm in pretty good shape. BUT the new patient appointment and the 6 month follow up appointments was such a drag. I got seen 50min after my scheduled time and one appointment was in the morning and the last one was late afternoon.
