There was a strange smell walking into the door. They do not offer salsa and chips you have to pay for it. no salt or pepper on the table only a little packets. The food was 5 Stars- the ambience was not. Everything about the food was spot on and probably some of the best Mexican food I've had in years. Salsa was spicy, chips were crisp and salty, tacos were really good and fresh and the bean burrito with green chili was to die for. We got our food really quick and it came out hot - zero complaints about that! The waitstaff were also very friendly and attentive. My beef was with the ambience. I haven't been to this restaurant in probably 20 years and it wasn't the same. The place used to be packed on Friday nights with a mariachi band playing, but now it's just drab. The walls were dirty, being a building with no windows it'd be better to give the walls a fresh coat of brighter paint, invest in new silverware, and have salt/pepper shakers on the table, and maybe play a little music. A little refresh could go a long way in giving this restaurant the potential it had back. The menu was also a bit confusing as the drinks were only photos with no descriptions or pricing and the combinations weren't very clear either. I'd revamp the menu, and make a few upgrades (maybe bring the Mariachi band back on the weekends) and boom Nachos is back. read more

Waitress was VERY polite and professional but she seemed to be in a hurry. Food was okay but only lukewarm, it got cold VERY quickly. They only have salt & pepper PACKETS and you have to use ALOT of them to get ANY kind of flavor. They forgot our waters and you have to request EXTRA napkins, they don't give you the minimum you will need. Requested HOT chili, it WASN'T very hot at all. We usually do carry out and did today. We've been having really bad service From nacho's but decided to try again tonight. I ordered a Mini Taco salad with guacamole and sour cream. We picked it up. We live 30 minutes from the restaurant, no big deal. But made the mistake of NOT CHECKING OUR ORDER. My husband ordered 2 chicken tacos on white which were fmine but the beans and rice were ice cold. My mini taco salad did NOT have guacamole or sour cream on it. There was about 4 shreds if cheese (like how the shreds come from shredding a block of cheese) which is not enough to even taste and a very small amount of shredded lettuce that was totally wilted! The shell was like rubber on the bottom and the top was so hard I couldn't even cut it with a steak knife! I did not call to complain because i was so upset and didn't want to cuss anyone out!!!! The only thing edible was the beef (plain fried hamburger). I put cheese from home and ate it out if a bowl like a super low calorie meal. Oh and there were 3 pieces of tomato that had been chopped into 1:8" squares. oh there were a few refried beans underneath the hamburger but It was so little had the scrape it off of the rubber shell! We were traveling back to Denver from Albuquerque and a friend suggested we stop in for lunch at Nachos. It was a little early for lunch. They would only serve breakfast. I was really looking forward to trying their fried tacos, but they will only allow you to order them to go, not for dine in. Explain that one to me. We ordered drinks and some chips and salsa. They are still serving everything as they would in 2020. Individual bowls of salsa for each person so you don't share, packets of ketchup, salt and pepper and everyone is still wearing a mask. I ordered a basic breakfast with eggs, hash browns and sausage. The sausage tasted like it was previously cooked and then reheated. The eggs were cooked exactly right. The hash browns were a little burned and dry. I added ketchup, but that didn't help it taste much better. Everyone else got Mexican dishes with green chile. i tried the chile and it was really good. Before we left I ordered a 'pack' of deep fried beef tacos to go. They traveled well to Denver where I reheated one in the microwave for 30 seconds and it was AMAZING. I really wish i could have gotten that for breakfast in the first place. But they were honestly so good that we are talking about making a trip down to Pueblo just to get the fried tacos and try different variations of them. read more

3.5 stars. I will preface this by saying that I'm from southern California and have spent a better part of the last 2 years eating delicious Mexican food. These guys are open in this pandemic. Seating is spread out. They ask that you look at the menu online (website has been displayed or you can use the QR code the server gives you). The servers were very sweet and helpful. My friend and I got nachos with dip to share, I got the Favorite of the Day fried tacos and my friend got the enchiladas, both with chicken and chorizo. While I thought the dip may have been slightly burnt, my friend thought was the nachos. The salsa was delicious. Overall the plate was big and easily shared between us. My tacos were honestly more fried than I expected. I only managed to finish one taco and ended up taking the other home. The tacos came with salad, cheese, gaucomole and sour cream. I liked the chorizo more than the chicken. The additions were all nice. My friend liked her enchiladas and said the same thing - preferred the chorizo over the chicken. Her plate came with beans and rice which were good. Overall, it is a decent place. Didn't wow me in terms of flavor. read more

The service and staff are very rude. We decided as a family to take our parents there to eat on a Sunday. We always have Sunday dinner together and it was because of birthdays as well. When we walked in they asked if we had made reservations, and they asked how many of us there would be, when we called to see if it was open, and how many of us there would be the man on the phone didn't tell us we had to make a reservation. They made us go into a room that was set up for a dinner party to wait and then one of the women asked if we were part of that party and when we told her no, she said, "then you all can't stay in there and told us to wait in the front by the door. We waited for 30 minutes to be seated. A girl came and told us our table was ready. When we asked if we could add another table they told us no because the servers would not be able to get through to serve us; there was only one girl. When we arrived there was a party of 10 and they had the tables together for them. Our server was rude we had to ask for silverware and she kept telling us to wait she was going to start with our drinks. We said ok. She got our orders wrong, we asked if we could get fried chicken tacos on white and she brought us white tortillas with chicken in them, we asked if we could get two tacos the same and one with a different meat and she said no it's too much for the cooks. We told her what we ordered and she began to argue with my mom. My father asked for a lemonade and she brought a picture of water and went to pour it above him, and spilled it on the table and on his arm. She got upset when she had to separate the tickets when she was told it would be three different bills. I gave her cash and she asked me if I wanted the change and I asked her how much it was and she told me $46 and I told her Yes I want my change and she threw it on the table in front of me. She still received a $35 tip. I will never take my family in there again. They can't handle big groups of families or orders and they have attitudes and roll their eyes when asked for something like napkins, lemonade, or more utensils. We will have to find a different place to go for our Sunday dinners. read more

Googled a nearby resto as we were very hungry. We had skipped breakfast and it was already 3pm. Found Nacho's because they had a picture of a pancake meal in online. Was disappointed they didn't serve it anymore. But the food and the service more than made up for the change in their post pandemic menu. We ordered Nachos Ultimate Burrito, Chorizo and eggs breakfast plate, extra order of chips, salsa and guacamole. We ended up ordering their fried ice cream too. All yummy! The wait staff is always horrible. I have no idea why I ever return. However this time was just gross. The wait staff brought chips guacamole and salsa. She spilled the salsa because she was speaking to another employee. Continues that conversation. Then tore part of the paper from the chip basket that was soaked with salsa. Added the dirty paper in the middle of the salsa spill. Left and returned with a towel to clean. Stood the salsa cup back up with just a smear of salsa inside and salsa all over the outside and left. When she came by my friend asked what she planned on doing with that empty cup of salsa, the wait staff said "what would you like me to do?" WOW! When my friend finished placing food from her plate in a to go container, the wait staff returned with a bag, picked up the salsa cup, placed it in the middle of her plate which was still in front of her while she still had utensils in her hand. Wow! I can't say I have ever had such gross service. Wait staff is generally rude and lazy, but this was just too much. There is a kitchen tip added prior to the customer tipping. When you pay that kitchen tip is added, then the wait staff asked for another tip when paying. I am all about tipping, no problem. I am a great tipper. But the food wasn't very good this time below average was below average. read more

The nacho chips and salsa were fantastic, the burrito trios were incredible, and Chris makes a great frozen strawberry margarita! One of the best meals I have ever had! I don't understand how people like this place. The place look dirty and the bench in my table was broken. Also servers/greeters are terrible and the food is the worst. The first time we leave because it was too full and no one seems to care about us standing at the door. The second time the place was empty, only one couple in another table and us. Our waitress was so inefficient, she keep forgetting what we ordered and the food took forever to arrived. When we asked for more napkins, she grab some but don't want to go up the stairs (like 3 little steps) and ask us to stand up and grab them from her hand while standing on the main level. Came here after a couple of locals recommended this place. Food was great for the price how we service need some work. Our waitress was rude and inattentive. When my husband asked for some recommendations because we are the new the waitress flat out said she doesn't know since she doesn't know what he likes. He got a massive burrito plate but no knife was provided. The receipt has a clover code but the waitress said they no longer use Clover app and don't know what that is. I've eaten food from Nachos previously at catered events and was not too impressed. A friend took me there this afternoon for an early dinner and I was pleasantly surprised. The booth padding was getting old, but the restaurant was clean (including the restroom) and service was efficient. The margarita was acceptable (better than just okay), and our food was fresh and hot. I hadn't eaten a slopper for quite a while, so I decided to try theirs. Although the burger itself was a bit dry, the mild green chile I ordered was very tasty and had the perfect minimum spiciness for my taste. The fries were fresh and smothered in the chile as ordered. HORRIBLE SERVICE! My mother called to make a reservation for a large party for my birthday and received the worst service I've seen in a long time and I live in LA! Almost refused us, mentioned their closing time which was almost 1hr and 45mins ahead of closing. When we arrived there was no one at the hostess stand and actually the hostess and waitress were leaving out the front door for what looked like a smoke break. The restaurant was pretty empty and we arrived early for our 7pm reservation. I grew up here in Pueblo and Nachos was always a staple for my family but the last few times we have attempted to eat there have been truly awful. Pueblo is my husband's home town. I have eaten is almost every restaurant there. Nacho's has some of the best Colorado Mexican food in town. The location is what I call old Pueblo. A brick building on a main street with parking where another building once stood. It lost one star because there is no decor. Tables are 50's diner style. Disappointed with the entire process of getting our meal to go. It was dark and we had to park in between two building next to the alley. Very dark and confusing. That said, they are doing their best given all the COVID-19 crap going on. The chicken tacos on white was poor quality. Tasted greasy flat. Not much flavor. Ordered a side of green chili that had maybe two pieces of small pork. Not worth the money! I also requested mild salad. What I got was so hot and we threw it away. The Mexican rice was mushy and also tasted oily. Now it's the next day and my stomach is letting me know it was not happy with my dinner. Will spare everybody the details. I'm sure you get my point. Next time you're wanting good Mexican food recommend you pass on Nachos and keep driving. Ive ate here twice, and both times have failed me. The food always tastes like it sat there pre-prepped for hours then was popped into a microwave. I normally get enchiladas at any mexican restaurant I go to... and these are just awful. I'd chose getting them at a drive thru place over this place :( Staff is usually okay! Kept coming to the car and were friendly and apologized but showed no urgency and nothing happened . Tried calling in and no-one answered the phone. Many others came and left during the wait. Nacho's is a fixture of Mexican Food in Pueblo. Michelle Obama ate here - not for the ambience or food however - only because it has no windows and Secret Service probably approved of the bunker-like locale. The service is okay, however the prices and value are absolutely out-of- control considering the burned-out light bulbs and bottomed-out booth cushions. Maybe it was a classy place to eat in 1970 but is no longer relevant, it is outdated and cheesy, no pun intended. The combo meals are pricey at ~ $16 for 3 premium items. I was just in Denver at a trendy Mexican joint and it was far cheaper with better value. While the chile rellenos are delish, they nickel and dime you by charging for chips and salsa. What is this? It reminds me of decades ago when restaurants would charge you for soda refills. I think the owners are greedy and are taking advantage of their customers by overcharging for cheap items such as tortilla chips and blaming inflation. I had the steak and chicken fajitas, my husband had the Shrimp Tacos and we tried one of their Speciality of the House Tacos (we chose the beef) and all of it was amazing! Excellent menu and food. The ambiance was fitting for a restaurant in Pueblo. Came here with some dear friends who made the recommendation. Overall, the food was good (better than average), however, the wait staff was hard to find one the meals were delivered. I am one who drinks a lot with the food I eat, so having to wait for a waitress to appear is a bit frustrating for me and detracts from the experience of going out to eat. I just want to say thank you so very much Andrea. I Left my business credit card there on A road trip on my way from Texas to Washington. By the time I realized it was gone and I needed more gas I was already in Cheyenne Wyoming. I couldn't call the restaurant until the next day at 11 AM when they open which was a downer for me, but by then I was already in Salt Lake City. When I called I spoke with Andrea and asked her if they had my card and sure enough, they did. I explained that a family member would be stopping by to get it, however he canceled on me. It would be extremely critical for me to replace the card since it is linked to all of my accounts for auto pay, and I expressed that to Andrea. I asked her if at all possible she would mail the card to me, at first she was Hesitant, I'm pretty sure because of policies. I was not upset. She called me back and agreed to send me the card, which delighted me. We exchange phone numbers and I gave her my address and it came three days later. Now that is what I call above and beyond customer service!!! not only was the food A nice taste of home since I live in Washington state now and there is no chili or food that is new mexican style here, but they went above and beyond for me. Our group had mixed reviews about Nacho's. I went with the Ultimate Burrito with chicken and I thought it was very good. The sides (rice and beans) were heavily salted short don't add salt. The tacos received good reviews but the people in my party that ordered enchiladas said they were cold. We had one child that requested a taco because she thought her grilled cheese was overly toasted. Our waitress went back to the manager and they charged us $1 for the taco. I guess that's fair. Today was my last visit to this place. I have been coming to Nachos since I was a little girl and remember when they were even at a different location downtown. Recently the food has been inconsistent, sometimes fresh, sometimes tasted like it was leftovers, sometimes hot, sometimes luke warm. Why did I continue to come? Because I loved their salsa. It has tasted the same since I was a little girl. On the last two trips to Nachos I realized their salsa has changed. It has the same flavor however it's more runny/liquid. I mean I literally couldn't even put any salsa on my chips because it literally has the consistency of water. I truly feel like this is their attempt to cut costs by adding more water? Today the hostess said the wait would be 10 minutes. We were dumb and ended up waiting 39 minutes for a table. Also, the place was not busy. If I had to guess, maybe 20% of the tables were full. The hostess later said they were behind in the kitchen. Adequate management would have sat us, let us get drinks and complimentary chips and water salsa, apologize and let us know what was going on. The food this trip was the best I had in recent visits. However the wait to get seated and also seeing tables come in after us get food before us, just gave us a bad experience overall. And based on previous experiences we have decided not to come back. The food is cheap, but not with all the inconsistencies. Save a trip if possible and try Cactus Flower. read more

I'll give two stars because the food is decent but, oh my god the service. We play golf every weekend and every weekend we sit on the patio, waiting on someone to take our order. 15, 20, 25 minutes. The waitresses will literally come out to the patio, look you in the eyes, and walk away. We used to go in and let the bartender know we were waiting, & wanted menus, but that proved pointless, so now we just go somewhere else. About a month ago we went there for dinner & the entire kitchen staff walked out. A month before that an employee told us 5 waitresses quit within 2 days. I don't even know for sure if it is a management problem or a staff problem, but there is defiantly a problem. I'm from California and was looking for a place to have dinner that had a mariachi band. my family was in town from Cali and we drove all the way to pueblo cause nacho's advertises they have live marchi music. when we walked in we were wonderig where the 'band' was. well, the 'mariachi' was a couple of guys with guitars. they walk from table to table a sing a song of your choice. when I first learned this, I wanted to LEAVE. instead, we decided we'd have dinner and 'deal with it.' well I'm glad we did. they are a DUO, and a magnificent one at that. they sang, both, in English and Spanish. the waitress was good, the food was great, and the environment was nice too. I'm glad we came and I'm glad we stayed. this party of 13 was pleased at the emd of the night. we will come back. :) only 4 stars cause no mariachi band -if that's what you're looking for. read more
