I initially came in for a cavity on my front tooth. I was told a root canal might be needed but was advised a filling was sufficient and that the tooth was "fine." When I left, the tooth was visibly bright yellow and rough. I raised this concern immediately and was told to "GIVE IT TIME" and that if the tooth did not turn black, it could be visually corrected later. I relied on this explanation in good faith. It was later disclosed that the office did not have the correct enamel shade or proper finishing tools to restore the tooth. I returned for a second visit solely to correct the appearance. A different dentist again drilled the tooth, confirmed a root canal was not needed, and stated the office still lacked the correct shade and tools. During this visit, the dentist's hand slipped, chipping my front tooth and injuring my gum, causing prolonged bleeding. The tooth was left yellow and further damaged. My front tooth has now been drilled twice and is structurally compromised. I have since been advised that an IMPLANT is now my only option--an outcome that may have been avoided with proper care and transparency. Additional concerns include poorly placed fillings that prevent flossing, over-sanding of another tooth, and being charged for a cleaning that did not occur. Despite this, no refund, corrective care, or accountability was offered. As a military wife and mother without dental insurance, all care was paid out of pocket. If you value transparency, quality work, and accountability--especially for visible dental work--I recommend seeking care elsewhere rather than Deluxe Dental in Nacogdoches, Texas. It was supposed to take a few weeks for the permanent crown to come in, so I went back to college in another state. While at school, the tooth broke in half and I immediately went to another dentist. During the x-rays, the second dentist found that all of the nerve tissue had not been removed from the tooth, and cotton had been left in the hole. Needless to say, I had to have a second root canal on the same tooth. I'm currently looking at having to get a bridge replaced that Dr. Rector put in less than 10 years ago. My current dentist says its a poor quality job and it's poor fit is causing wear on my natural teeth below it as well as pain. Furthermore, she wonders why such an old-fashioned style of crown was used when much better alternatives were available. I've also had problems with cavities around fillings that he did about 12 years ago. So, he can clean your teeth, but look elsewhere if you're looking for major dental work.

The left side came unglued and was springing up and poking me. Very painful!! I guess 28 years of the glue holding was a good long time, but time was up! I called my regular dentist and they could not help me, instead referred me to an orthodontist. I went there, and upon leaving I could tell what they did was not going to last, as it felt very thin for some reason. I was right, the very next morning, the retainer sprang loose again and I was in the same boat. I called Dr. Coker's office and spoke to Mary, who had me come in right away. I should have called Dr. Coker in the first place. I went in, and his assistant thoroughly applied the best adhesive ever and got my retainer back in place. I imagine it will hold another 28 years or better! I would highly recommend Dr. Coker's Smile Studio for any and all tooth situations and especially emergencies with your adhesive glue! Dr…read more Logan's office was so great in helping me get this done, and I don't just mean the dental work part of it. Andrea spent a lot of time answering questions about insurance, telling me what questions I needed to ask my insurance company when I realized I needed to switch insurances, making phone calls to the insurance company for me when I needed to get paperwork from them, filing for pre treatment estimates with the insurance company so that I wouldn't be left with a surprise bill if the insurance company did not cover what I thought they would (which really helped because it did happen that one of the insurance companies I tried did not cover anywhere near what they were supposed to) and also helped me get on a payment plan through sunbit, with a very affordable down payment for what the insurance company wouod not cover so that I could hurry up and get the work done that I needed. Of course the dental appointment went great. They made the crown in the office and were able to finish everything that day, in less than two hours. His assistant was so sweet. They really do care about your comfort while you are in their office. They always provide you with a neck pillow, ask you what you want to watch on tv while your getting your teeth worked on, and they even offered me a blanket while I was waiting for the crown to be made. I will never go to another dentists office. Dr. Logan has been my dentist since I was old enough to get my teeth cleaned. His entire office staff is professional kind and treat you like family. Not only would I recommend Dr. Logan to a friend, I would honestly feel like they were making a mistake if they went anywhere else.
