Just wanted to say that our experience with Nadeau's marine was great. We needed a new motor for our pontoon boat. Decided to business with Nadeau's and we weren't disappointed. The young woman that worked the front counter was sweet and knowledgeable. Scheduled our appointment and the Job was done in two days. My husband called Nadeaus Marine on July 15th to see if someone could look at our boat motors. Was told not today, but if we wanted to drop it off they would get to it.My husband who never speaks ill of anyone, said the young woman on the phone was extremely rude and treated him as if he was bothering her. We drove to Nadeaus with the boat and when my husband went to go in the office the girl locked the door on him and she walked away.No greeting no customer service at all. She could have taken 10 seconds to inform him that they were going to lunch and when they would return. Very rude very unprofessional. We left and took our business to Lincoln Motor company and received exceptional service. We will never do business with Nadeaus, and advice boat owners to seek other options too. ​ read more

My experience from a few years ago : I was told Nadeau's had just changed ownership it appears things went gone downhill fast. Worst consumer experience I've ever had. It's a very long story.. the short version. Another marine mechanic shop had a problem with my tohatsu. While ordering the parts from Nadeaus we were told the repair is under warranty, so bring it in. So we brought the lower unit to Nadeaus a week later after they called and told us they had received the ordered parts. Each time I called I was told they would get to it "tomorrow.. or the day after", 22 days later and over 12 phone conversation (specifying I was told this was warranty work on each phone call) they completed the work in about an hour. I know this because I'll called at 1:00 pm and they said they hadn't even looked at the unit since it was dropped off. They called back a little after 2:00 the same day and said it was done and they informed me I owed them almost $300 for the repair. They never called to tell me they didn't think it was warranty work. They just did the work planning on charging without any authorization. The woman at the service desk tried to tell me the parts took a long time to get.. which wasn't he case, since the parts were there (so was she) when the unit was dropped 22 days earlier. Then she told me the only reason I was upset was because " you have to pay". I explained as calmly, with no yelling and certainly no profanity, why I was not happy with what had transpired (or didn't) over the past 22 days. She proceeded to tell me I was "F-ing insulting her" proceeded to use language most salty dogs would use in a place of business and hung up and wouldn't answer my call the rest of the day. No one would pick up the phone. I left messages.. no return call. I think my regular local shop got stuck with the bill, unless Nadeaus honored their word and warrantied the repair after all of that. I've never written a bad review of any product or service in the past. But I've never experienced service this poor. I had high hopes for the shop, nice building, staff was nice enough the day I dropped the unit off. * After posting a a bad review, the owners response said I had arrived at the shop swearing and demanding outlandish same day service when I dropped the unit off. Several other out right untruths as well. ** to the owners response. My local marina that had the problem with the linkage in my lower unit told Nadeaus how it happened and they were told by Nadeaus this was a common problem and Nadeau's could take care of it under warranty. They said it would be a quick fix.. maybe a couple of days or a week after the parts arrived. Which all sounded fine to me. Every boat yard is extremely busy in May and June and I would never expect same day service. I've been a boat owner for 20 + years and have never had an experience like this. There are a half dozen marinas within 5 miles of my home. I know the owners or mechanics at all of them. I was trying to help my local shop out by lightening their load and letting Nadueas do the work under warranty since they were so insistent on bringing it up to them. Clearly the person who made these promises at Nadeaus wasn't authorized to do so. But if you have staff talking to customers and other shops and making promises you've got to stick with them or be upfront about it. If I had known on day 1 or 2 or even day 7, 10 or 20... that we were "misinformed" about the warranty, the original shop would have made the repair. Contrary to the owners response, I had a very pleasant experience they Day I dropped the unit off at Nadeaus. I was extremely patient for the entire 22 days they had my unit, patient to a fault apparently. The staff told me after the surprise bill that the person that told us they would warranty the repair "no longer owns or works at the shop". I have never used a cuss word with any business in my entire life and didn't start with Nadeaus. Swearing at a staff member would never get anyone anything any faster, not to mention it would ruin my day if I let myself stoop to that level. read more

I was totally blindsided by this company! And needless to say, I have been more than disappointed with this establishment. Not only did they undertake work without letting me know, but they did work over $8,000 that I never knew about and didn't need, but they also had no written authorization, no communication until boat delivery day from winter storage when they called stuttering to let me know. Poor counter service and the counter help has no idea what they are doing.. impossible to communicate with them because they (2) Do not take any notes or even try to understand what information is being conveyed to them! If you ask to talk to a technician they BLOW you off. Scheduled a motor for warranty work not only did they screw up the information to the technician, the original issue is under warrantee and they never repaired this problem. Yey they billed me for 200.00 for unrelated work. The counter people are dismissive and "were not authorized to give out the owners contact information". I would give this bush League operation zero Stars if I could but then I wouldn't be able to leave my review. I saw another review that says they don't answer their phone very true everything goes on a message probably so they could screen because they do poor work. They were told to replace my bilge pump and it wouldn't work so they replaced it and then said it's good to go I get into my boat the bilge pump still runs. I called back to let them know I'm not happy to see what they could do about it the woman said she'll call me back she doesn't call me back for 6 days. I finally called her back and she proceeds to tell me that she had called me. When she didn't! To tell me that the reason my build pump might be open is because there's debris stuck in there. They couldn't tell me that when I picked up the boat? I would have had to debris moved so I don't have an issue with my boat. The woman continues to tell me that this is what she told me when I know it's not true so now she's making up story I would never go to that place to save my life. I'd rather buy a ticket on the titanic. They're rude she's lying and they don't check their work!! Why would they replace the pump and leave the cause of problem open so my pump can burn out?? Maybe you could warn a customer?? That's not even to mention when they clean out underneath where my controls are that they leave the table out and that they track their big ass feet all across my deck of my boat and don't bother cleaning up after that but that's another story read more

Shysters! Cheats, Thieves and liars. I don't know where to begin. I need my boat winterized. I called these yahoos. I explained I have a(n) 2007 Maxum weekender. I explained this several times. I was quoted $300 plus tax to winterize. I asked if the onboard systems would be done for this price. I was smugly told by the female employee "that's what winterize means". Ok then, silly me. I asked (Tuesday) if it would be able to be done by Saturday as freezing weather is here. Maybe she says. I said well I realize short notice is not your problem but I need to know as I need to find someone short notice. Finally after many uncertain answers she says yes. I asked what about wrapping it too? $375 for that boat do you want it stored? I said no I can store. She says then we can't wrap it. We don't allow wrapped boats to leave but we store free with a wrap. I said fine. I reiterated the terms and said fine. I show up today, Thursday as agreed. Now the $300 winterize price is only for the motor not the insides, and they put a mandatory fuel filter and gaskets in that's extra. So the $300 is almost $400. Also the $375 wrap? They slide you a paper they don't tell you about that you have to pay them $122 fee to unwrap and also an $80 labor charge to torque wheels and grease bearings. Not optional. So oh by the way now that your here towing a behemoth boat 45 mins into nowhere, the cost is actually $300 more than quoted. Lying bastards! When I mentioned calmly and politely that no one explained this I was told leave my boat in the yard or don't. So, unfortunately I need it winterized. I took it off the truck in the pouring rain with a cold mind you and some old fart (I assume old man Nadeau, stupid Frenchman syndrome) came out screaming at me that that has a shower and hot water etc. I said yes, I was very clear explaining that when I called. His hands going voice raised etc tells me to take my boat and leave. Apparently, because I wouldn't condone them screwing me and an incapable staff I'm the bad guy. Good god there must be some seriously sad people that love to be taken advantage of. This company and Nadeau himself are crooks and not nice people. Please heed my warning before they bite you!! The worst customer service I have run into in a long time. The boat I purchased was complete garbage and ended up in the shop broken down 3 times in the first 3 times out. Traded due to not reliable with another marina. I sent other people to them and they refuse to deal with them for various reasons. In my case I found that they knew it all and no one else knew anything. They put down other dealers in the area as well. Over priced for everything. read more

This dealer sold me a used Tohatsu outboard motor including installation. Motor is missing components critical to safe and reliable operation. They are either totally unqualified, or dishonest. Don't buy an outboard from this shop. read more

I have done business with this company since we bought our boat in 2010; winterization and storage. This year when we went to pick it up we found out there is a new owner. We had some work done when I dropped it off in the fall and they had taken the seat covers off and left them in a pile on the floor. Needless to say mice decided to make a home of these covers. When I picked it up I noticed it and ask what they could do. The guy I asked seemed absolutely clueless and said he would have to ask some questions of his staff. Come to find out the guy I asked was the owner and was skating around not having to tell me he wouldn't do anything and it was on me. I left with the understanding that he would get back to me in a couple days. After a week of no call back, I called. Every time I called he was "busy" and not available. I would leave my number for a call back with nothing. He finally called me another week later to say that he wouldn't do anything and it was on me. He also stated he knew nothing about this kind of business and was learning what to do. To put it simply read and listen to the other reviews on Yelp. Don't waste your time and money at this place, go somewhere with a competent owner who knows what they are doing. read more

Wow! I just read the post of the flying F Bombs from the owner. He must train his people well because the very angry older woman in the office outdid the owner with the F Bombs. They must practice. I wore out my skiff trailer and saw an ad for a new trailer I needed. I called to verify they had one in stock, they did, and I went up and bought a new trailer. I saw they were Tohatsu/Nissan outboard dealers and I wanted a rough running outboard tuned up. I delivered the outboard, they called when it was ready and I picked it up. When I launched, It would not run at all. I called and ask they overnight a fuel pump and the mechanic said he would and have it repaired in two days. We called on the second day and was told it was not ready but the mechanic was working on it. We called the next day and was told it was not ready. I reminded them our Grandson was coming up to fish for stripers with me and really needed it. On the third day after it was promised we called from the road after picking our Grandson up from the airport to ask if it was ready. I was told nothing had been ordered because it was ridiculous to spend money on the overnight shipping and they would order it through the regular channels. I ask why they said they were working on it and the office screamed come and pick up the G$% D@%$ motor and never come back. We drove directly up there to pick up the motor and stopped into the office to tell the help we picked up the motor and 'the angry woman' said get the F out of here and stop you F$%#ing complaining and Bit$%%$#. I took it to another shop who said I was the sixth one this year from Nadeau's with similar stories. A $15.00 needle valve was installed and the motor runs as new. $200.00+ down the tube at this horrible place. read more

Wow! Was just showing the owner of the business my brand new boat that they stored an wrapped an how it rubbed my motor an the powder coating in four different places. An all he wanted to do is deny it was even possible an cursed me right out of the parking lot. Never heard so many F#@$k this an F#_$k that, get the F#_$n of my property. An this was the owner!! We stored our boat at Nadeau's over the winter 2017/2018. When we picked it up this spring, we did not notice the nasty black stain in front of the drivers seat. We called but they were closing, they requested we send a photo. So I sent a photo and email explaining that the stain was not there when we dropped off our very clean boat. Larry Nadeau returned the email and said it was basically my problem and they were not responsible. I called Larry first thing in the morning, he told me it was probably a spilled beer ! We do not drink and drive our boat and how dare him suggest that. He dismissed me like he could careless. My husband also called later in the day and he told my husband the same thing. Dear Larry, you have no customer service and we will never return. If you are reading this review, take photos of your boat before leaving it - you might need them. We purchased a used pontoon boat at the end of the season in 2011, Larry Nadeau gave us a 30 day warranty on the boat he also put in writing that he would give us a new prop. The prop on the boat was a bit damaged but certainly usable. We had the boat delivered in the spring of 2012 (we love it!). Shortly after getting the boat in the water we had a couple minor issues. I called Larry to discuss our options, I was will to forgo the new prop to get the other issue taken care of. Larry was unwilling to discuss the situation and dismissed my concerns even though we were within the 30 day warranty. I finally had another mechanic come out and fixed the situation. I called Larry to ask him to honor his email and replace the prop, after a long conversation, with him accusing me of damaging the original prop which he then threw on the floor he looked in a book for a prop and gave me a check for $50.00. I would not recommend this marina to anybody; Larry was very difficult to deal with and didn't handle this situation well. Make sure you get everything in writing when working with Larry, he isn't very good at sticking to doing what he says he will do, and he also said he would detail our boat which he didn't do. We have purchaced three boats off Nadeaus over the last 11 years and have had very good service and have never had one problem with with Larry or his staff. He has an excelant place of buisness and always has boat ready when prommised.I have read the review by Sue D and I called and spoke with Larry about it , He told me that she is a new boat owner and the warrantee on the boat was for the engine only and she wanted things like a bad sterio speaker replaced and a small tear in one seat cushion repared.He told me that she bought this 2000 sylvan 20 ft pontoon boat with a 50 hp motor for 5000 dollars and thought that everything was under warrantee so she is bad mouthing him. I think there is two sides to every story but for my story I would recamend this Nadeaus marine.Oh we have also bought several other boats over the years at other marinas in the area and had nothing but problems but we did not drag them thu the mud! read more
