Not only he told me "I never signed up with anthem insurance, no insurance will never cover braces". The insurance themselves told me they will take him off their list of providers. Even after showing him a letter I'm covered by his practice. BUT after the insurance called him, he sent a submitted letter to them saying "I had a conflict of personality". (See attached photo) he lied and put a blame on someone personality. Horrible shallow doctor, and human being. He might reply to this saying some nonsense like all scam artist but again, be my guest going there on your own risk. Oh, and wait to get a lecture of about 10 minutes why you need to pay 4 times the average price once you sit down on his chair. And no, it wasn't convincing. With this type of person- I'm sure he paid people to post good reviews. Not surprising. He also doesn't know I know the top doctors in Brentwood and will gladly share that story with them. You should know my word is stronger against yours, with recorded calls and letters. Nothing you can say will bring back good reputation. I've already heard other doctors shares my concerns with you. He lures people in with a Groupon and now it makes sense. I went in for Invisaligns and it was an awful experience. He wedged my bottom row of teeth together so tight that I was in so much pain even months after the procedure was completed. At one point he tried sanding the edges of my teeth down to make more room. It was clear my teeth were not spaced out properly. He wouldn't shut up about the fact that he taught dentistry at UCLA decades ago, but it sounds like he brings this up to his clients to compensate for his lack of skills. He throws an attitude and tantrum when you question any of his methods. Too bad I didn't experience this side of him until after he got my money. It has been 10 months and 12 more months to go, been having wonderful Invisalign treatment experiences at Dr. Dayani dental office; his staff Rachel is great with scheduling. I had crowded teeth; I have visited a few orthodontists, they took the faster and easier route, not very good for me in the long term. They wanted to grind in between my teeth down to make spaces for my teeth to move into place, in the long term my teeth will become very sensitive. Dr. Dayani was very informative, he seem to have my best interests first. He began the process by putting spacers in between my teeth for a couple of months before starting Invisalign treatments without grinding down my crowded teeth. Dr. Nader Dayani is actually an Orthodontist but there's no Yelp classification for that. Anyway, long story short - Dr. Dayani makes a mean bite-guard. If you are like me, someone who frets and then grinds their teeth at night while sleeping, then consider a custom molded bite guard. Dayani has a special design that actually fits on your lower teeth, and it is a great feat of engineering, as it's possible to close your mouth at night and not be uncomfortable. The trick to bite guards, and I've had a few in my life, is that's it's comfortable enough that you don't subconsciously eject it at night or be deterred with utilizing it at all. read more

I found Dr. Dayani because after already having braces twice, my teeth shifted tremendously to the point where my misalignment was causing me facial pain and the structure of my face had changed. I consulted with multiple doctors who all said I needed jaw surgery. Finally I found Dr. Dayani who shared multiple options with me and was very informative. We settled on Invisalign because it was the least invasive but it worked! I am almost done with my Invisalign treatment and the results are fantastic. Dr. Dayani is by far the worst orthodontist I have been to yet. I decided to stop by one morning as i saw his advertisement in the paper a couple days before. Well before I could even tell him the reason I was seeing him, he decided to review my teeth and their condition. Apparently I was to receive major reconstructive work with invisalign added in there. What was funny is he never even advised me to remove my wisdom teeth, even though that was the only reason I came in to see him. He seems to be another example of what is wrong with this countries medical system. He is just another representative of a major company, in this case, invisalign. I would have liked him to just review the state of my wisdom teeth. He would make a perfect marketing agent rather than an orthodontist. I had several consultations for invisalign with others all over the area, but he was by far the most reasonable, honest and professional. Been a patient of Dr.Dayani for the last 2 and half years. Came to him in hopes of fixing my very wonky and chipped teeth. He is beyond professional and makes you feel so comfortable. His staff is amazing. Shout out to Rachel. We started with a lingual arch expansion to create space between the teeth as they were over crowded and then Invisalign. He didn't stop making new Invisalign's for me until all my teeth were perfectly straight. He then did enameloplasty and bonding to reshape and fill in the chips of my many mishaps of life. He made me a custom retainer to wear for night time to keep my beautiful smile perfect. This person is not a good orthodontist nor does he have good morals! I visited his office for 2 weeks everyday and I witnessed some inappropriate sterilizing conditions (basically minimal efforts were taken to keep his tools clean). He was also rude to quite a few patients, blaming them for things that he was responsible for. In addition, his costs were way too high for the crappy service he provides. I was Dr. Dayani's patient about 10 years ago. I had perfect teeth after he was done with his work. However, I neglected to wear my retainers and 10 years later I needed some work on my lower front teeth. So, I am back to him again. From personal experience, he is an extremely capable and confident doctor. He is also very honest and straight forward with his patients. He told me my case would take about 9 months on day 1 and that's how long it approximately took. He fixed the broken bond on the brackets more than dozen times. I didn't listen to him and kept eating hard food. He replaced the bands many times, and changed the archwire once. I had to cancel my appointment couple times very late. He never, even once, charged me a penny more. That's why I am back to Dr. Dayani. I was looking up his Irvine Office address when I came across the reviews on Yelp. Interestingly, even couple individuals from Oakland and San Francisco which is 350miles away from Los Angeles and Irvine had negative comments about Dr. Dayani. I am very surprised to see the poor reviews below. Dr. Dayani has treated me for the past 4 years and the service has been exceptional. This was my second round of braces (didn't wear my retainer as a child) and he made it as easy as possible. When I come in for appointments I never have to wait long and am seen right away. I also have never had a problem getting an appointment. I will say what the review below did not tell you... if you miss appointments or don't take care of your teeth, you will have your braces on for longer than the estimated time frame. Dr. Dayani explained this during my first consultation. Other than being a great orthodontist, he was very personable and always concerned about me being happy with my smile. Dr. Dayani is by far the one of the cheapest dentists, but because he is one, he obviously takes many short cuts to save money. I don't know about you, but when it comes to my physical health, and teeth, I want someone to take care of me vs. someone being cheap and possibly f*cking up my teeth. I have seen Dr. Dayani take less then cleanly care with his patients. He has dropped instruments and cleans them under running water in hopes that the patient does not see it. So his instruments appears to be unsanitary for a patient's mouth. He only checks the very minimal problems in my mouth and tries to immediately diagnose something that I did not even come for. Why check my teeth very minimally and try to market me braces when in fact, I came because my jaw was clicking and I was worried about possible tetanus? He appears to be a cheap skate ready to make a buck without caring about a patient. He is unfailingly polite, but in that car sales man way, without any real sincerity. He isn't a good orthodontist! I mean, I can't say much about the work he actually does because I suppose he knows his stuff if he's been in the business for that long, but in terms of Dr. ethics (if there is such lol), he is NO GOOD. He pushes his opinions on people even if they want something else and continues to say "I just want to help blah blah blah", continuing to cut the patient off. He just wants our money, duh. I know other orthodontists who talk to you about what they think you should get..but at least they don't talk for like 30 minutes straight telling you why, when you just WANT TO LEAVE. The tools in his place are NOT sterile...I don't think they clean their stuff there very well, I've peeked at some of the tools sitting out and they are RUSTY and it's disgusting to think that this stuff goes into our mouths! Do they even wash that stuff?? It's funny, you think kids are too dumb to notice what's going on but we're smarter than that (and this account is not real in case he checks). I've seen them not change the plastic thingies on the lights...I don't know, maybe only my dentist does that but I'd think orthodontists do that too? I just get kind of a fake vibe from him..... ]: so sad. Bet he doesn't get many patients or something I don't know. He's DEFINITELY A CHEAPO! I have been to at least 4 orthodontists and they all told me that I need to pull out 4 teeth!! I never liked the idea, so I never got braces...until I met Dr. Dayani. Dr. Dayani is actually an orthodontist, so he does not offer most services that you see in your ordinary dental office. That's why he didn't comment on your wisdom teeth, because he doesn't do that. Nor does he fill cavities, do cleanings, etc. When I went in for my consultation, I had wanted invisalign but he strongly suggested that I get braces, saying that it was the best way to not only get straight teeth but to also have a perfect bite.
