For Brazilian wax enthusiasts, for the love of God AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE! I keep an extremely open mind whenever going to get a wax done at salons whose primary focus isn't on waxing, for example, whether it be a hair salon, nail salon, etc. I called on a Saturday morning to see if she would be able to take me in that morning and lucky for me I was able to go in immediately. I drove myself over and entered through the back. She was just opening up (it was 10:30), and I was directed to the waxing room. THE HORROR. The room was EXTREMELY unkempt and disheveled. The paper on the bed hadn't been torn off yet, the trash was overflowing, and it was cluttered with so many other things, as if they were using it as a storage room. (Pictures taken after my wax was done). I seriously wanted to turn around and walk away, but I really needed to have it done before going to the beach! I laid down on the bed and off she went. Probably the WORST waxing experience I have ever had. She kept going over the same areas not twice, but up to FOUR times! She then handed me a waxing stick and told me to assist her by maneuvering my lady parts away while she waxed in specific areas. I was floored! Even more so when the first stick broke right on my you know what! As she finished, she literally POURED oil all over my areas, and then topped it off by cleaning the excess off with BABY WIPES. C'mon now. Really? On my freshly opened pores? I stood up to get all changed realized that there were strings of wax ALL over my legs, which ended up getting on my shorts (along with the oil), and also on my car seat! I had to put a towel there to make sure it didn't stain. I have never regretted spending $40 as much as I did then. Believe me or not, the pictures speak for themselves. read more

On a Sunday afternoon- I decided I couldn't wait anymore and needed to get a haircut. When I looked on Yelp for a nearby salon - I realized everything was closed except for supercuts- and I wasn't going there. Nadia's was still open so I called and even though Nadia wasn't in the salon and even though they were going to close in an hour- the women told me that she would call Nadia and get her in. 15 minutes later I was at Nadia's salon and another 5 minutes later- Nadia was there. She washed, cut and blow dried my hair -quickly and perfectly for only $50. I didn't really even know what I wanted but Nadia took my gibberish and translated it to a haircut. It's a bummer that I live in SF- because I would probably come here for every hair cut. Actually- I might just come for every hair cut anyways! read more

Ayeee. It was my first time going to Nadia and dang can she thread her way around eyebrows. I don't even know where to start for this review. Nadia threaded my eyebrows under 10 minutes while giving them extreme care and trying so hard to give them the best shape. I hadn't threaded for around 3 months (blame it on me being lazy due to the 100 degree weather) and yet she created some sort of masterpiece with my eyebrows. The pain was pretty much nothing and yet she offered me a kleenex and rubbed some aloe and lotion which cooled my skin. Nadia herself was extremely kind throughout the whole process. PERFECTION!!! I am picky picky picky and Nadia is the absolute best with eyebrow threading! I first heard of her salon from a friend and stumbled in on a random afternoon and walked out very pleased. I have since moved and continue to go to her and her staff. Nadia got right to her magic without having to ask me how I wanted my eyebrows done. She could tell based on my normal shaping. Appointments are not necessary, but Nadia is usually the most busy because it's her salon. The pricing is inexpensive ($7 for eyebrow threading) and all of her staff are just as good as her at threading. Nadia always greets you and is extremely sweet. Worst experience ever with getting my hair cut! Nadia does NOT know how to cut hair! I went in with long hair and came out with short choppy hair. She did a horrible job! I was extremely upset with how she cut my hair and how rude she was when I politely asked her to adjust it so that it looks more evened out. In fact, after her horrible work I went to another lady at a local super cuts and all the salon ladies where shocked on how she had left my hair. They even showed me how uneven the layers where. Overall this was the worst experience in cutting my hair and I will never recommend her to anyone! I'm super upset and sad on how short my hair is thanks to her poor work ethics and training. This place is cheap, 6.99 for threading is good. The people are friendly and they work fast. I will be going back to use their services. The parking is also worth it as 1 hr parking is in the front and no meter to worry about. The salon also has parking in the rear of the place. So this is my first time writing a review on yelp for a business but after getting my hair done at Nadia's I felt so inspired to write one because I had such a great experience. This was my first time getting my hair done professionally. I went in for a cut and highlights. She was super warm and nice when greeting me and helping me figure out what I wanted to get done. She was very helpful in answering all my questions about getting my hair done and what would look good etc. I went in with black hair wanting to get it lighter and as hard as it was to get my hair lighter she was very patient and really tried to give me what I asked for. Throughout the time I was there she was also very accommodating asking if I needed water anything like that. By the end of my hair coloring and cut she even blow dried and straightened it for me and I loved the way it turned out. I will definitely be coming back for touch ups and haircuts. Sadly i wont be coming here anymore. I visited twice. Once before my wedding in mid December and a few weeks after. The first time i came in alone, looking for a trim and hair conditioning. My hair was dry with dead ends. My second visit i came in with my husband. We both wanted hair cuts. I cut about 4-5 inch of hair. I wanted a one length hair cut. My husband wanted a fade, a 1 on the sides and 3 on top. The issues? My hair is uneven. My right is longer and its noticeable. At first i thought maybe its the style or mouse or whatever. So days later i washed my hair and dried it only and made it straight. Wow my hair is tore up! Im gonna get it fixed asap. Now for my poor husband.i didn't pay much attention to his cut since i was focused on my own but at home while relaxing with him his hair was not blended well, very noticeable where she cut and she didn't "clean" up his ears. My last issue was she over priced us! she charges $10 for men and $15 for women cuts.. Well she charged $32. How does that add up? I didnt say anything since i forgot her prices but i checked the pic here and i had taken a pic myself and yup she charged too much. $12 extra. Wont take my chances again and go to a salon worth what i pay. read more

Asked for an eyebrow wax because I have a low pain tolerance and don't like threading. They waxed some of my brows and then threaded the rest. My skin stung really badly afterwards and was extremely red!! They left my brows uneven. One is significantly thicker than the other and they shortened them too which I did not ask for.
