I decided to give B Esty Skin a call after reading all the rave reviews on Yelp. I needed to have my out of control batwing eyebrows and rustling ear hairs waxed, and being a bit of a pale-skinned baby, I wanted to make sure the process would be handled by a seasoned professional. I was grateful to discover that the owner, Bree, was incredible. First of all, she is an amazing communicator. She gave perfect instructions on how to find her salon space inside Phenix Salon Suites at the Northridge Fashion Center. The space is clean, modern and felt very safe and professional. Bree is wonderfully friendly and made the entire process quick and painless, walking me through each step making sure I was satisfied with patience and professionalism. She made my eyebrows and ears look and feel great. Her rates were very competitive, with eyebrow waxing at $30 and ear waxing at $20. Plus, during your birthday month, you can receive an additional $5 off your salon services. Definitely will be back and I very much appreciate Bree taking the time to give me a great wax and also being super friendly in conversation and absolutely professional during the entire process. I want to be clear that Jazlyn herself was very attentive, kind, and reassuring throughout my appointment. I understand that miscommunications happen, and I did not blame her for the situation. My frustration was with how the front desk attendant, Zoe, handled it. I was told I had to pay the Brazilian price even though I had booked and communicated that I wanted a Bikini Full. When I questioned this, Zoe brought Jazlyn to the front to discuss what happened in front of several other customers. Given the personal nature of the service, this made me extremely uncomfortable and felt unnecessary. I would have appreciated some acknowledgment of the booking/miscommunication issue and a private, professional attempt to resolve it. Instead, I left feeling embarrassed and frustrated over how the situation was handled. I hope management uses this as an opportunity to provide additional training on customer service, discretion, and de-escalation.

I recently tried this new cooling, hydrating underarm mask by Bushbalm and honestly, I was really impressed. As soon as Bre applied it, it felt super cooling and soothing, especially after waxing when my underarms usually get irritated. My skin felt really hydrated and soft afterward. Her studio is super clean and cute and she had music playing in the background to make it more chill.
