I try not to come on a grand opening because they need time to work out the nuances, but we were very gun shy about having Chicago Street food in Holland. The order was not completely right where we got some perch instead of a gyro and all fries instead of a couple of come slaws. The Italian beef was a little dry and the wings were decent but not quite Chicago enough for me and my hubby who have lived there for the past 20 years. Prices are reasonable, and the staff super friendly and helpful!

I dig this place. The owner is super nice and his food is on point. Chef trained bbq. Wings and tips are great.

What a south side gem! Nadine's is a newcomer to Holland's Washington Ave. It's narrow and unassuming, tucked into a strip mall. Nadine's is inspired by the Chicago street food scene, and the flavors and portions and combos were downright satisfying. I tried a three item combo: rib tips slathered in a tangy BBQ sauce, three big planks of ocean perch, and four big chicken wings (one wing = drummy still attached to the flat!), all with a generous portion of house made French fries. I'd put these wings against the big chain's any day. Breaded gently and fried to perfection with the one-handed eatability that only true wing fans understand. Fish and tips were great, too. Add Nadine's Chicago style hot sauce for extra zip (it's good!). Be patient, as they're still ramping up their business, staff, and inventory. Dining room is small, but folks can carry out. (They've got lots of great bundle deals on all their main dishes.) Nadine's is going to be making regulars and fast. I'll be back!

So excited to have a Chicago Style Street Food location right here in Holland Mi. They are slammed at opening but they will get their groove soon. Best of luck and cannot wait to be regulars.

As you can see from this photo it's pink in the middle of the chicken wing.

Happy Grand Opening! The perch was amazing, can't wait to try the catfish when available. Wings were crispy and tender, great seasoning.

There was no customer when we went, it was a Sunday around 5PM. The host/cashier was nice and friendly. We sat and she gave us 2 menus (spanish and english). I wish there were more photos of food so we have an idea what to order. Anyways, we asked her to make sure we order the right one. -Cubano Sandwich was really good. The pork was not the typical pulled pork, it tastes more of a lechon or roasted pork. It was juicy and tender. It comes with shoe string potatoes. -Croqueta, I chose ham as filling. This one is a winner for me. A great appetizer to start. -Beans... one of the best beans I ever had. My husband loves beans and he enjoyed this one a lot! -Pastries (coco and guyaba) we took it from the shelf by the cashier. They were ok. Not so sweet. This restaurant has a little store at the side almost to the back... some Cuban stuff and snacks.

I am hoping more people come to eat here as it's pretty good food. There is plenty of baked goods and drinks if you are looking for a snack sized option as well. The menu is huge with large sized portions. This is one of the few places I have seen lobster on the menu in Holland too. They had the potato balls with ground beef and a well complemented tangy sauce to dip with that was great. The half banana balls with 4 different proteins (pork, ground beef, chicken and tuna) were also very good. I got the lobster and added a side of plantains and it was excellent! I would love to come back and try more things. The prices were reasonable, but wasn't sure if the staff understood at times as we were needing plates for the appetizers.

There was ample parking when I went after work around 5:30 and one other group there eating already and saying how much they enjoyed their food which got me excited. I walked up to the truck and the gentleman behind the counter gave me some pointers and said what he recommended. I ordered the Bird Mac with tots. This burger has shredded pickles, caramelized onion, thousand island dressing, and American cheese. Very much a classic and I thought that would be a good place to start. The flavor was delicious and the tots went really well with this burger. I asked for garlic aioli for the dipping sauce. I think next time I'd love to try the Mac Daddy because Mac and cheese on a burger is very intriguing! Would recommend this spot because the food was good and the service was incredible! Thankfully it was a nice day and I could eat this on the back patio but you could also get your food to-go as well:)

You can't go wrong. That's about all I can fit (and afford) on a weekly basis, and know that there's so much more deliciousness...and plants. There's a lot of those too! The market is also market-ing on Saturdays. That's when it's a full house in terms of vendors. If there's one vendor you can't pass by, it's Rudy at Fantabulous Fudge. He's been slinging *the best* fudge in the area for years, and in the fall, he makes some bomb caramel apples using orchard apples. Lastly, I recommend coming in the spring, summer, and fall if you can swing it, as there are certain vendors that only make appearances during certain parts of the season.
