We got a bucket of chicken from here and it was really good. Ordered through DoorDash online and it was ready when we got there. For some reason when I called to order no one answered and they said to order online but their website to order online wasn't working and my only option was door dash. A bit pricey but would love to try this place again. read more

I try not to come on a grand opening because they need time to work out the nuances, but we were very gun shy about having Chicago Street food in Holland. The order was not completely right where we got some perch instead of a gyro and all fries instead of a couple of come slaws. The Italian beef was a little dry and the wings were decent but not quite Chicago enough for me and my hubby who have lived there for the past 20 years. We were here for the Tulip Festival and were looking for a fish restaurant for lunch. As a former Publisher of a Travel Magazine we try to eat local and look for restaurants off the beaten path. We found Nadines's and am I glad we did! We both ordered the fish and chips and were surprised that there were three large filets to accompany the hot fries. In addition they had a variety of sauces to satisfy any taste bud. We chose to take out but there are also tables to eat in along with games throughout to keep the children happy. If fish is not your thing they have an extensive menu! Why wait till we got back to Florida, it was too good to not review! Hope you find this hidden gem. read more

If you want a taste of Chicago you need to check out this place. Larry has brought all of the tastes to holland and he is killing it. The mild wings, the shrimp Po-boys, the Chicago dogs are some of my favorites. Also try a gyro burger and the fries with mild sauce. Mmmmmm. So good. The owner is also a chef who does catering. What a south side gem! Nadine's is a newcomer to Holland's Washington Ave. It's narrow and unassuming, tucked into a strip mall. Nadine's is inspired by the Chicago street food scene, and the flavors and portions and combos were downright satisfying. I tried a three item combo: rib tips slathered in a tangy BBQ sauce, three big planks of ocean perch, and four big chicken wings (one wing = drummy still attached to the flat!), all with a generous portion of house made French fries. I'd put these wings against the big chain's any day. Breaded gently and fried to perfection with the one-handed eatability that only true wing fans understand. Fish and tips were great, too. Add Nadine's Chicago style hot sauce for extra zip (it's good!). Be patient, as they're still ramping up their business, staff, and inventory. Dining room is small, but folks can carry out. (They've got lots of great bundle deals on all their main dishes.) Nadine's is going to be making regulars and fast. I'll be back! read more

I would like to say that it was a good place to eat. But unfortunately it was not the greatest food. I ordered the 4 piece chicken wings which was not thoroughly cooked all the way through. It was pink by the joints, and pink by the fattiest part of the wing. And I also ordered the catfish. Although I will say that the catfish was pretty good for the price. Not really sure what to say about the whole order. Other than the fact that I probably will not be going back. And I probably would not recommend this place to anybody of my friends or family. But I do wish all the best for this new restaurant in Holland. I would hope that they take this constructive criticism with great concern of the food preparation. read more

We decided to have a Friday night take away treat and chose to give Nadine's a go, a new restaurant in Holland. We selected a 3 combo and a 2 combo, a walking taco, 2 banana puddings and called it in. Arriving at the restaurant, I was thrilled to see its design, an ode to all things Chicago with a wall size picture of the Chicago skyline on one wall, some Bears (Bear Down!) and Cubs memorabilia as well as pictures of famous Chicagoans and their quotes. It was clean and vibrant. The smell of the food was intoxicating. It's obviously a family run restaurant & it seemed the staff were struggling a little to keep up with the orders. But having said that I was quoted 10 minutes and I didn't have a long wait. So, the food. First of all the portions are generous. Every single thing we ordered was delicious. The wings were large and juicy, we ordered BBQ and Nadine's sauces which were 2 of the best sauces I've ever tasted. The perch was beautiful, crisp outside, fresh and juicy in the middle. The tips....oh my lord. I could sit and eat a bucket of them. The rub and the smoke on them were the best I've ever had (and I've had a lot!). Lights out too-drawer amazing. Even the fries were delicious. We gobbled down the banana pudding, one feeding 3 of us. Listen, we finished off everything even though we had ordered more than we needed. What's more, when we were done eating, for fried food it didn't weigh us down, we didn't feel bloated as sometimes friend food leaves you if too greasy. Great job Nadine's and thank you for giving us a very satisfying meal at the end of a busy week. I really hope I'm going back to this establishment for years to come... read more
