My whitefish refill on a saucer that took 35 minutes to get.
    Derek S.

My wife and I got the all you can eat whitefish. The pieces were on the tiny side for whitefish and the fried was rather dry. The first order came with three pieces. They brought out two pieces for a refill and these pieces once again are small. My picture shows the pieces on a saucer not a regular plate, lol. My third refill took 35 minutes. The server seemed pleasant but was not at our table as much as needed. We left because the kids were sick of waiting. My kids wet burrito was okay... the shrimp Alfredo was okay. All in all a 2.5 stars.

DATE & TIME OF VISIT: June 22, 2024 @ 2:00pm. They were not busy (just a handful of other tables). AMBIANCE & CLEANLINESS: We loved the rustic cabin look & feel, much nicer than other "bars" because it didn't feel like a bar. We seated ourselves (per the sign that told us to ), we sat over on the bar side that only had two other tables of patrons. Table was clean, bathrooms were clean and restaurant in general appeared clean. HOSTESS & SERVER: The hostess, well there was none because it was currently seat yourself . Our server was very nice, she answered any questions we had and if she was unsure of an answer she went and asked! She was attentive and just a pleasure! FOOD: This is what we ordered.... Beer Battered Asparagus -- Taste, Oh My Gosh! These were SO delicious! We loved the thin battering of these (hate when fried food is so heavily battered!). Size, decent amount of spears. Price $12.00 (normally I would have said overpriced for the portion size BUT these were homemade and delicious so they were worth the price!). We will definitely get them again when they have them!!! French Dip Sandwich -- Taste, per my husband "this is really really good, you have to try a bite". The aus jus was delicious and not overly salty like most of them. Size, normal hoagie roll size (about maybe 8"). Price $13.99 and it DOES come with a side (your choice of French fries, American fries, cup of soup or salad)! Chicken Fingers Dinner -- Taste, very yummy, was not overly battered and chicken was moist not dry. Your choice of dipping sauce (he did honey mustard and it was delicious!). Size, 4 pieces of chicken tenders. Price $14.49 and it comes with your choice of potato (choice of French fries or American fries), homemade bread (garlic bread slice or a roll) and cup of soup or salad. Chicken Monterey Dinner -- Taste, very yummy, was grilled perfectly and chicken was moist not dry. Size, 2 pieces of chicken smothered in cheese & sautéed mushrooms. Price $17.49 and it comes with your choice of potato or seasonal vegetable (potato choice of French fries or American fries), homemade bread (garlic bread slice or a roll) and cup of soup or salad (garden or Cesar) Olive Burger -- Taste, was very good. The burger was moist and not overly cooked. Size, normal burger size. Price $13.49 and it DOES come with a side (your choice of French fries, American fries, cup of soup, coleslaw or potato salad)! OVERALL THOUGHTS: All that cost us $76 (without the tip). Not bad for a family of four including an appetizer (we always drink water). The environment was fun and pleasant, staff were friendly and attentive, location good, food EXCELLENT!! WOULD I RETURN? That's a BIG yes!!!! (And we will be frequently visiting!)

oz . Ribeye and mashed potatoes

My husband wanted to take me out and try some place new so we came here. It was a bit of a wait but worth it. The cabin like decor was very cozy and endearing. We had a very nice waitress where we ordered a glass of red wine, mozzarella sticks, a full slab of ribs, potato salad, green beans, ribeye steak, and mashed potatoes. Everything was pretty flavorful and delicious. We were quite stuffed. We will definitely be back and recommend to others m.

The place was busy so they must be doing something right! I called in my order and from the time it was picked up and I received it was 12 minutes and everything was cold so it was ready way before I asked it to be ready which was disappointing. No one's fault just a process management issue. The Monterey chicken was dry. The carrot cake was delicious. The patty melt was OK would've been better if it was hot.

    Slow Roasted Prime Rib

Our friends have been wanting to check out The Stable Inn for quite some time and we were all able to make it tonight. Thursday nights are all you can eat prime rib, perch, and frog legs. Everyone in our party ordered that and I started with prime rib. This prime rib was meaty, flavorful, and came out hot. I also got the Stable Punch to drink and that was delicious and refreshing. For my prime rib I used their horseradish sauce. The sauce brought the prime rib to the next level. So so good! You get two sides and I chose the house salad and the garlic butter mashed potatoes. Those mashed potatoes were so flavorful and buttery and garlicky. I loved them! After my first round of prime rib I got the perch next. The perch comes out hot and freshly fried. It was crispy and so good. The tartar sauce was really good as well. It had little pickle chunks in it and I thought it was a nice touch. I got another slab of prime rib after that and had to tap out. Throughout our meal, our server was wonderful. Refills, bringing out more food and sauces, etc. She really worked hard, all while having a smile on her face. The Stable Inn doesn't look like much from the outside, but the inside is super cozy. There's a fireplace burning and there's wood beams. It was country western, but not cheesy. We will definitely be back after this great experience.

Nothing fancy, but I love this place but would recommend sitting in the bar area. Dining room is kind of bright.

Great food and service. The ambiance is not fancy and is a bar restaurant. Is very busy because many local folks love eating there.

The indoor/ outdoor space blends together in the warmer months with cool hangout spaces and game areas. This place is truly a work of art. Drink lists abound, but because it was lunchtime we stuck to food. We were not disappointed. Everything was well conceived and delicious. I can't wait to come back and try the bone bread next time, stew and scrumptious sounding salads. Today we had the kids smash burger, Brussels burger with frites and fried haddock and frites with a delicious coleslaw. The best part? Different sauces to choose to dip the fries in. The curry ketchup was the best (special shout out for *actually* cooking the curry into the ketchup) as it did not taste of raw curry. They definitely don't cut corners here. We noticed, and we appreciated it. We will be back.

Yes, they have a small parking lot, and don't fret if you have the park on the street like we did, as we were seating promptly and it didn't feel too crowded. Since we were seated at high tops near the bar, the bar tender was our waitress, and she is literally the nicest, good energy, engaging human ever! She also whips up the custom, creative mimosa recipes, kudos to her for her awesomeness! I ordered the Shakshuka, flavorful, delicious, would order again. Even as a non-vegan, it was satisfying and would recommend to everyone. Husband had the 1964 Worlds Fair Waffle, and it was tiny. Not what you envision when you think of Belgian waffles. He also ordered the Belgian Forest Bacon, again VERY small portion, so much so that at the end of the meal, he had to order a side of the Smashed Maple Sausage. Both our drinks (I had the mimosa) were fantastic and worth ordering, loved the glassware! Aside from the small portions of waffle, bacon, and sausage, the cheerful vibes here are contagious, and I'd dine here again in a heartbeat!

Service was slow out of the gate -- despite our waiter hanging out with a table he clearly knew. Food didn't fare much better. We ordered the smash burger, which by definition should come with cheese and smash sauce -- that's the whole point of a smash burger, not an add-on. Ours came with neither, and even though it had two patties, we had to pay extra just to add a single slice of cheese. It was incredibly dry, even after adding that cheese and trying table condiments to compensate. The chicken tenders looked appetizing but the chicken itself was stringy and overcooked. Dessert was the low point. We ordered the Oreo cheesecake bites and waited over 20 minutes, only to be served what was essentially liquid pudding in a shooter glass with whipped cream on top. Our server admitted, "I didn't know I was supposed to make it" -- it seems the dessert needed time to set in the fridge and was served before it was ready. While we were waiting we heard another table complaining. The server responded "chill. It's all good". The table responded "actually it's not all good!" Three strikes and we're out. We won't be back.
