On an evening about a week ago while I was visiting Philly, I was in the area near the Hilton Mōttō, and on my way out of work at around 7:30 PM, I found myself looking for somewhere to eat quickly at Naf Naf Grill, which is probably one of the last places open at this time of the day. it's always a plus when you are able to find a place to eat that has hours of operation open after a long day without having to travel too far from the hotel. I ended up creating my own bowl. I selected the steak, rice, cucumbers, tomatoes and a hummus. At Naf Naf Grill, it's all about fresh ingredients, flavor and the ability to create your meal as you would like. I ran into one minor issue when I went in and there was no pita available for purchase that night. They actually gave me extra hummus which I thought was very nice! I didn't like the steak as much as I had expected. The steak was a little chewy and difficult to eat. However, the fresh vegetables and the hummus were very good and helped make up for the steak! Overall, the experience was good enough for a quick grab and go type of dinner. Since it was convenient and they were open at the time I arrived, I would give them another chance if in the area again. The employees were helpful! The ingredients seemed to be good quality and Naf Naf was one of the only places in the area at the time open at night, so that made the restaurant a pretty good bet for a quick bite after a long day of work. There are probably some adjustments I can make to my protein selection next time, or some new options I can look into trying from the menu before I go back. But based on this experience, I would likely visit again if I'm in the area! read more

Typical corporate lunch spot on Market St. Would recommend for anyone who is doing group lunch or catering because has lots of vegetarian friendly options. I made my own bowl with yellow rice, falafel, and chicken. Side pita and hummus are good, my favorite dip is tzatziki (yogurt based). Fresh vegetable toppings like cucumber and tomatoes and lettuce. Baklava was okay, very sweet and still flaky. The bowl was filling and not too expensive. Would get this again. read more

He willingly gave suggestions when I couldn't decide on the sauces, that really brought my anxiety down. The food is extremely tasty. I have ordered here twice. The first time, they forgot my stuffed pita, but I called and notified the staff and they allowed me to come in on another day to get my pita. They did just that and gave me a little extra! The second time I ordered, it was a very hectic lunch time, and I was informed I would not get fries. Unfortunately they had not given me a refund or substitution for the fries, so I wrote a negative review. Upon reading it, they quickly sent me points for free fries in the app to once again fix their mistake! "Chainy" has never tasted better. I've had better middle eastern food but it was definitely good for what I paid. This place is very chipotle style. Tell the person what you want, bam it is done. I got a bowl with chicken shawarma as my protein with the yellow rice as my base. You can add veggies and sauces and I added the cabbage, tomatoes, onions, 2 pieces of falafel (extra 85 cents charge each) with the sesame sauce and a side of hummus. Although I have passed by this restaurant many times before, I have never been. I have been to the competitors such as cava and the other place in Center city, but this was my first time at naf naf. I really liked the offerings And the fact that there was a possibility to get a smaller sized bowl. I find the portions at cava to be way too large. I also thoroughly enjoyed the falafel's and thought that for for two dollars was a very good price. The staff could've been a bit more respectful. Nice spot to grab lunch. The staff is friendly, the restaurant is kept clean and no typically a long line after the lunch rush. Prices are a bit high for what you get but I'd still recommend to try the chicken salad bowl with the lemon vinaigrette- it's a very unique and tasty combo. read more

My major issues with Naf Naf in general are: 1) There are very few options compared to competing Mediterranean fast casual places. There's a place called Mezeh at King of Prussia that probably has fifteen times as many options, for example. 2) The food is way, way too salty. There's no reason to pack 1,800 mg of sodium into a not very large chicken pita. It would taste better with half that. That being said, I do really like Naf Naf's pickles. This review is from a few months back. Been here are few times at lunch and each time it is busy and seating gets tight. The place is clean, exception they don't have a steady person wiping down the tables and the drink station...even when I went in there when it wasn't busy. Naf Naf Grill is less than a block away from where I now work. Add to that its fast-causal approach, and it should be in line to becoming my one of my regular go to spots. Based on my visits thus far, it has not earned this kind of 'tier 1' status just yet. Their menu offers pita sandwiches, rice, couscous, or salad bowls, and also a hummus bowl. All can be made with chicken, steak, or falafel. They also offer some extensive veggie options, but I haven't had a chance to try any of them just yet. I found my chicken pita sandwich to be A-Ok. It was made to order and quick to deliver. My steak couscous bowl wasn't quite what I had hoped for. The portion just didn't seem to add up and the steak didn't have much flavor. Just NOT good. The carts on every corner---and the sauces--are much more flavorful. In fact, I tried my best but could not distinguish any difference between any of the flavors. The chicken is salty but there is really no other spice balance. In addition, both hot sauces have no variation in flavor--very little vinegar to balance out. The yogurt sauce takes like nothing. The only topping that varied the flavor even slightly--were the pickles--I liked these. Crunchy and tart. But even they weren't enough to liven up the dish. I always get a rice bowl...no hummus no baba just rice chicken, sumac onions, chopped salad, garlic sauce, sometimes I want the other sauces but it's rare (I hate the mango stuff), the pita comes with it... so you might as well get the bowl instead of the sandwich... RM? For opening the Malvern location... and over all the background of the company. Naf Naf Grill has decent options for a fast-casual middle eastern place. I probably shouldn't have tried the chicken shawarma rice bowl, because overall it didn't taste any better than the "chicken over rice" I typically get from food trucks nearby, but cost me twice as much. (The flavors, of course were a bit different - less spicy, greasier, and pretty salty.) I would probably come back to try another bowl - maybe the baba ganoush, as I've heard good things about it. The pita bread that came with the dish tasted fresh and was very fluffy and soft. The portion was decent, but I noticed that I was given a smaller portion than other customers who ordered the exact same thing, but who were larger people. I know I'm petite, but it's kind of uncool for me to pay the same amount as everyone else if I'm getting less food! Perhaps I should point this out next time and ask for a discount, lol... I had a great experience going there for the first time today. The place is bright and airy. Service was very good. I had a chicken shwarma which I liked. I loved the big, fluffy pita, it had a good amount of filling, and the sauces were flavorful. My friend was not as keen on his bowl, which was half empty and looked dry.
