I felt like the falafel pita had a lot of falafel balls but not enough of the veggies. With lots of veggies, seeds, and maybe the best falafel I've ever had, the falafel salad is nice and saucy, filling, and hits your sweet, salty, and acidic cravings. However, I do wish they gave more falafel. The veggies to falafel ratio is kind of off. And for the price, I would want some more! The drinks are also all so good. I really liked the turmeric lime soda. I thought it would taste like sparkling water, but it was actually quite flavorful. And the tehina smoothie was so good too! I popped in for a late lunch. You order at the counter and your food is ready in no time. I had the Falafel Sandwich with Harissa Tehina. The sandwich was delicious and so flavorful with the sauce. Harissa was the perfect level of spice for me, I usually like 2-3 out of 5 on the spice scale. The Lemonanna drink was also great and refreshing. Only downside is that it was really cold inside. It's warm out so I had a tank on but inside this place you need a jacket. They also don't have much seating, 1 table and the rest are high tops. read more

Most recently I went with a few friends after work for a snack and got the hummus which comes with a pita and a side of cabbage - despite how delicious it is, I easily always have leftovers. Goldie is the gold standard in fresh, tasty falafel. While their menu is limited, it makes it easy - falafel salad or sandwich? (I vote salad!) Fries with or without shawarma spice? (with!) Pick a tahini shake (I go for original or coffee but no halvah on top). We ordered takeout for seven for a work lunch today and had a feast! They mixed up our order a bit and we received three plain fries and one shawarma fries instead of the opposite, but I fortunately had shawarma spice in my house so we dipped the fries in that and all was well. Plus, we had such a wide selection of dips (shug, amba, harissa, harissa tahini, shug tahini, amba tahini, hummus) we could make our fries taste like all kinds of yum. While I prefer to have my shawarma fries hot on the spot - we had out of town colleagues who also had to catch a train and plane - takeout was our only choice. Portions are huge - I had the second half of my salad for dinner. And tip to the wise, if you have any tahini shake left over (we ordered one of each kind for everyone to try) - just put it in the freezer and you have frozen tahini dessert! read more

I had a yummy falafel salad, hummus and fresh pitas, and enjoyed them for two lunches. The food was very tasty and filling. I also splurged and tried an (OMG!) oh-so-fabulous Turkish Coffee Tahina shake at the recommendation of my professional and polite server! Holy flavor - sooo good! It's an upscale fast food ambience, pretty yellow colors and big windows, and very popular, even/especially b/c of protests. The large long bar in the middle is nice seating, along with other tables. This fast casual vegetarian falafel place is affiliated with an upscale Israeli restaurant that unfortunately I didn't get around to, but I have a hard time imagining this place being beaten on flavor anyway. After waiting in a rather slow-moving line, I eventually received a splendidly diverse salad bowl. It did have some cucumbers and a pickle I could have done without as they did nothing but detract from what was otherwise a dynamic flavor experience, but they were few enough to be picked out. The falafel was top quality, with a wonderful softness on the deeply green interior. Seeds, mint, and herbs mixed well. I think they forgot my dressing that was supposed to be on the side, but I really didn't need it. Among the combo options, the fries I got were not impressive in portion size, but the shwarma spice, whatever that is, was utterly mouthwatering. Seriously, the consumption to eat the fries first upon opening the bag bordered on mind control. I was seemingly the only person who did not order a shake, and they looked magnificent, particularly the mint chip, but I just didn't have room for one, sadly. The seltzer water I got instead (which I just learned is a Jewish thing) was an adequate consolation prize. Had to come visit after hearing rave reviews about this place for years! My mom and I decide to split the salad because we wanted some veggies for lunch (I ordered the salad with extra salad and pita top chips so we'd have more to share). Mostly, all tasted like milkshakes and definitely had the right consistency of a thick milkshake! Caramel pretzel- too sweet for me, but sweet and salty is fun if you love that combo! Turkish coffee- loved this one (which is what we ordered)! Unique and tasty mint- didn't try it with the cookie since it was just a sample, but the woman in front of me said it tasted like toothpaste, and that was my experience trying it as well. The mint taste was overpowering and tasted very artificial to me, but my brother thinks it's their best tahini shake (it's possible it tastes better with the cookies)!
