First of all, she is always so friendly and kind and in a great mood. I come to her for Brazilian waxing and I have never had an esthetician more diligent, thorough, and attentive than Michelle - she takes the time to get all my little hairs out to make sure I look as good as possible!! She is also very gentle (which is saying a lot when talking about waxing down there haha) and sensitive to specific skin needs! AND she is so knowledgeable about products - I never feel like she is pushing products on me, but she is giving me genuine suggestions based on what she sees I need and what I tell her is going on. I have been going to her for almost 4 years now and recommend her to EVERYONE! I looked around and realized the jars of disinfectant and sterilizers were empty and unused and all the tools were lying around at unkempt stations. At this point, it was too late. To make a long story short, I wish I hadn't been so desperate and paid more attention to the lack of clean tools. My nails have been in terrible shape since my visit.

Talk about the most horrible experience I had ever had! My toes hurt because I got an infection from this lady that had cut me. I talk to my doctor and he told me it could be that their tools are unsanitary or the tubs are not clean. I had heard great things about this salon and decided to give them a try, but it turned into a nightmare! I personally will not recommend this nail salon to anyone in Charlottesville. They are rude and not very friendly. I also got my eyebrow wax by this young girl and she did not pull out a brand new wax stick... I don't know how many time they have use that on other people?... Sorry but that's just not sanitary at all to me. I also notice that there are hair on the wax bed and that is just plain gross. Ugh I read such good reviews on their Facebook and it just total shocker that it turn out the way it did. Trust me our better taking your business and money else where. This salon is the amazing! Nancy is the best at Acrylic Nails in Charlottesville. She does a fabulous job. I been to pretty much every place in town and this is my favorite place. The salon is huge, clean, modern, and the staffs are super friendly and nice. I had an appointment made and was taken on time. They took me back and offer me a nice cold beverage. My nails look brand new when I was finish. They are constantly busy when I was there. The staff handle rude people with such professionalism. If you don't have an appointment and they are busy, how are you going to get mad? There was one lady who even demand a refund on a gift card because she couldn't get in at a certain time? This is a great place to get pamper in Charlottesville. They are really clean and have a variety of pedicures and other services. The staff are so nice and well educated about nails. I love the fact that their tools are autoclaves. The work quality is awesome. My nails always look great when I come here. I also like the fact that they don't tell you 5 mins and make you wait 1 hour. They don't make their appointments wait because they want to take in more clienteles. Very professional! Great place to get your nails done! I've had pedicures, manicures, and waxing done here and my experiences were mostly positive. The salon is always clean and the prices are somewhat reasonable. The employees are friendly though if you want to have nails done you would have to pick someone specific because most employees have something they specialized in or do terrible in a certain aspect. It's recommended to make an appointment when you can due to the likely 2-hour wait if you come in without one. read more
