Not sure why the reviews posted are more on the negative side but this place is your typical walk in nail salon. ,They always have plenty of staff on hand and the majority have been working here for many years. During my visits, I have observed very friendly interactions between staff and customers. Prices are comparable to most of the salons I have visited. The only suggestions I have overall, is to offer newer and fresher looking products to choose from. Some of the nail polish bottles look as though it's time to visit the garbage can. The reception area usually looks a little cluttered from the stacks of tattered magazines that have been flipped through way too many times and should pay the same visit to the trash. I went in for a manicure a week ago. I just wanted my nails cleaned up and get a clear polish. Called to make an appointment and asked for pricing. The gentleman on the other end said it's $20 for a regular manicure. Went in for my appointment. The lady who did my nails was nice and chatty, but said I don't need polish, even though I had asked for clear. I said ok as my nails looked decent as she had buffed them. However, after a few days, almost every single nail started to get a hangnail. Also, she took only 15 minutes to complete the manicure, which is a very short time in my opinion. Worst part was when I went to pay, she asked for $25, even though I was quoted $20 over the phone. I even saw $20 for a regular manicure listed on the price list. I gave her what she asked for but did not tip. This is extremely bad business practice. In our conversation I had mentioned I'm visiting from California, maybe that had something to do with the price hike. Still, shady, unprofessional and disappointing. Btw - my own nail salon in California also charges $20 and they take their time and do a fantastic job. read more

My manicure was so bad and she chipped both my pinky nails, I had to go back the next day and have them redone. They put a super thin layer of the gel polish on that the day after I had them redone the gel got cracks in it and broke two nails. See photos. read more

I had my nails done after work, I work at five below my nails needed done so I decided to stop there and she did an amazing job I also got my eyebrows waxed when I was in there! I have never had someone do my eyebrows like she did she knew exactly what I wanted and was the best that I ever had done! They are great and very professional!!!!? read more

I took my granddaughter to have her nails done & she wanted a French manicure & half of the nail is white! They look ridiculous!!! I had my nails done and the polish is awful. They cut my nails too short and didn't even file them properly & my nails are so rough now. They cut my granddaughter's cuticles & had them bleeding. Ive been here many times for pedicure with my mom. I don't trust them with my fingers since they completely messed up my acrylics a few years ago. But this time I'm not coming back. I asked for a nude/red French tip, picked out the nude and red color for the tech to apply. She looked at me like I was crazy. After the tech who was there was told I had signed in 1st & I'm upset I have to wait. He did nothing but continue working on the woman's nails. I waited an hour until the next tech came in. I had a mani/pedi. The skin around some of my toes were scrapped. And I could have painted my nails better. My cuticles are cut, bled, and are stinging hours after my manicure. I went last weekend, for a 10 set of white coffee nails and asked for dip and they gave me gel. Then the added a extra 15 dollars for something i didn't even ask for. The lady was VERY disrespectful she didn't say a word and she was eating noodles while doing my nails she cut me with the filer and just wiped it without any gloves and her mask was below her nose during a PANDEMIC. They made my nails look thick and didn't even think of doing the sides. When showed her what picture she yelled at me in angrier. That is not how you treat a customer. The WORST nail experience EVER!!! Walked in, rude workers sprawling all over pedicure chairs watching loud videos And talking/ screaming to each other. Now the nail experience. Ordered to sit in chair, no greeting, kinda rude, but i was like, 'oh well' Not my regular salon. Picked color. She proceeded to roughly dremel, burning my nail a few times. Proceeded to SLOWLY polish my nails. We are done, i go to desk to pay, and EVERY nail begins to peel off!!! Then says 40(!!) dollars for gel polish!!! I live near Philadelphia and hv pd 25 -28$ for same!!! She ordered me back to chair and starts to file my nails. All peeling off!! Then she realized she used the REGULAR polish for the requested gel manicure. Kinda laughing about it w other worker And a weak apology. Then re- dremeled my nails to paper thin and sloppy re polish. Slow technicians, raises prices, and isn't very clean. I wish that there would be newer nail polishes. They also seem to put less effort into manicures and pedicures and want to focus on clients with acrylics or gels. The nail polish are old and never, ever have newer colors. I never have received such poor service in my life. My cuticles were bleeding, it was dingy inside the salon. I had an acrylic fill that popped off in the first week. I thought perhaps it was just a bad day, so went back for a gel manicure a few months later. The gel lasted ONE DAY. ONE DAY!! I returned to the salon and showed them a photo of my nail lifting off the next day at work. The man accused me of lying, and only offered to fix the one nail after I told him I would write a review that would reflect the terrible time I have had here. If I could give 0 stars I would. I literally don't even know where to begin. This was in fact the WORST experience I have ever had at a nail salon. My friend and I did not have an appointment so we expected a wait, which was not an issue. After about 15 minutes I was called to sit down (I was getting a fill on a full set). Shortly after, my friend was taken to a pedicure chair. The nail tech I got started to Dremel my acrylic nails to begin to fill them. After about 10 minutes he quickly gets up and shakes off his towel saying "Oh there's so much powder! Dip powder, solar powder, ugh!" and stormed away into the back area. Not to mention, he burned me a few times with the Dremel and didn't even acknowledge it when I pulled my hand back. I was flabbergasted. About 5 minutes later he comes back to Dremel some more. He yanks my hand/arm and says "Relax!". Obviously it's a little hard to relax when your nail tech burns you without acknowledgement, stormed off, and seems agitated for a reason you don't know. He stops using the Dremel and has me soak my nails. He goes outside to smoke and returns in about 10 minutes. After that, we're back to the Dremel, on my weak, acetone soaked, almost natural nails; which did not feel good at all, to say the least. He has me soak them again for about 2 minutes, and then he shoves a nail under the rest of the acrylic left on my nails, and pries it off. Terrible. Meanwhile, my friend is in a pedicure chair close enough to talk to, and we started having a conversation. We paused, and the nail tech said to me, "What are you talking about?" As if it was any of his business at all. I wasn't rude to him though, I just said that we were talking about a friend. (Again, none of his business anyway, especially to ask me with an attitude.) All the while, my friend has been just sitting there, with her feet soaking for about 25 minutes, no one had even come over to her since she was first sat down. Finally, he begins to give me a new full set. A sign and a flyer in their business says that a full set is $25. He pulls out pink acrylic powder, starts putting it on my nails, and says that it will be $40 now that he is using the pink powder because it's "stronger and will last longer". (This isn't even true, it's a gimmick nail salons use to get you to pay more for the same damn thing.) I said, your sign says it's $25 for a full set, why would I be paying more?" He says, "Oh. Okay, then it will be $30....." and mumbles something else that I didn't hear. In fear of him "accidentally" burning me with the Dremel, I just said okay. So finally after about another 25 minutes, he has finished putting my polish on my new full set, and my friends pedicure is finally done. When he put the top coat on my nails, there was a bright pink color that was on the brush, which transferred to my pinky finger, which he did not fix, but I know he noticed it because he sighed as soon as he did it, and wiped the brush off. I tell my nail tech that I will be paying for my nails and her gel pedicure with my card, he says okay, and takes me to the drying station for my nails. He leaves for about two minutes and then returns, asking if my friend can go into my purse and get my card to pay. Which her and I thought was extremely rude because I literally just sat down and he just finished my nails. After she takes my card and pays, my nail tech disappeared. He didn't say how long I should wait for my nails to dry or anything. We waited for about 20-25 minutes and then we left because at this point I was so disgusted and couldn't bring myself to sit in that horrible salon anymore. The bottom line is that this salon doesn't care about anything besides the money, has absolutely TERRIBLE customer service, and the salon was honestly dirty, and seemed unsanitary. I wouldn't recommend this salon to my worst enemy. Absolutely horrid customer service and the WORST experience Ive ever had in a salon. DO NOT GO HERE!! read more

I have gone here many times for pedicures and have always had a great experience. This weekend I went for a pedicure and gel manicure, the pedicure looks great but the gel manicure was one of the worst I've ever had. It looked like a toddler painted my nails (polish on my skin, gaps between the polish and cuticle). The gel chipped the following day and I was able to easily peel the rest off. Waste of time and money. I recommend their pedicures but they haven't mastered the gel manicure yet. read more

By far the worst salon experience I have had in my life. When you walk in, they don't even say hello, they are just like "what you want" and you are already turned off by the experience. I witnessed this with everyone that came in! The tech would ask what they wanted, the person would respond, and they would all talk to reach other in their language like "ugh who wants this one?" Really truly awful customer service. I just went to get my acrylics soaked off and a gel manicure after. Surprise surprise, the tech couldn't understand what I was saying and was about to put another full set of acrylics on after I had just soaked them all off! She ruined my nails further by using the drill to smooth them. I had just had acyrlic nails taken off that were on and continuously filled for a long time. By the time she got to filing my nails, they were round instead of square round like I had asked for. But it was too late because they were already so short. She could have filed them my shape instead of not listening and doing what she wanted. They don't sanitize their tools either. She pulled out a "personal" box that literally was probably used on everyone and never sanitized. Most other salons I have been to will pull out a fresh packed set from the autoclave. This was a big sign saying this place is dirty. I had picked out just a basic black polish that they didn't have? I had to choose another color instead. I went into the nail bar to get my acrylics removed and new one day put on. It was my first time getting them off so I didn't know what to expect. He shaved my nails down so far. Then took another acrylic nail to pry my old acrylics off of my nail. I felt like he was ripping my nails off, which in the end wasn't that far from true. He split my finger nail in half, and I passed out in the salon. While I was passed out he STILL tried to put new acrylics on my fingers that still had half the old ones still on. Thank god my mom was there to stop him while I was unconscious. I have to go to the doctor to get antibiotics because I have a possible infection. Worst. EXPERIENCE. EVER. read more

I wanted a gel manicure and the nail tech painted on uneven lumps of polish and never filed my nails. I had to stop at wal mart after to get a finger nail file. The nail tech also used her long finger nail with dirt underneath to scrape the extra polish/gel off and ended up staying under my nails. I would not recommend. read more

The service varies from one tech to the next, and the very best tech is mediocre. Customer service is appalling. Given the limited options for decent spa services in this area, I would rather drive to Pittsburgh or spend $50 on a pedicure that looks like a $50 pedicure, as opposed to $25 for something that looks like I did it myself. read more

This was the worst experience at a nail salon I have ever experienced. I actually am rating this a zero. First off , when you walk in you wait for at least 25 minutes to even sit down then when you sit down they leave you and make you sit and wait for another 20 minutes. Also, the massage controller for the chair was broken off! I was here today and when the lady finally came back she filled up my pedicure water with cold water! Then she ran out of the leg scrub and didn't use it. Then she got the hot cream and let it sit out for 10 minutes so it was cold and she still put it on me and barely massaged my feet or legs. Also, she never scrubbed my feet. Then, when she went to paint my nails and she lost my color and had to look for it for like 10 minutes and then she still painted my nails the wrong color. When she was painting my nails she completely went out of the lines and literally painted my skin. Also, the environment is so dirty and all of the nail drying stations are completely broken. Also, there are not that many a colors to choose from and the place has broken floor tiles. Also, they do not sterilize they're tools at all. Therefore, I recommend not coming to The Nail Bar in Greensburg pa. I have never had a worse experience ever! read more
