Spent $60 for tips not including a 20% tip to a technician with a poor attitude. The job was rushed, making my nails look short, fat, and totally unnatural. Two days later one tip came off. Take your money elsewhere. Also worth mentioning that I had a below average pedicure experience here earlier in the week. The polish chipped the next day, which for pedicures is nearly impossible. The staff is all incredible, making suggestions when I wasn't sure about shape, color, etc., and the finished product is a masterpiece. Just a note the previous owners were great! This is new owner and all new woman and the service is no good. The pedicure was just OK , she hardly massaged my legs. Then one of the Spanish girls did my manicure which was also bad. Then when I paid and left my tip, the Spanish girl next to her said, "WOW that's all for manicure/pedicure"and made a face.(long haired Spanish girl) SO the girl doing my manicure hurried up and sat me down to dry, without any back massage. I felt my tip was fair, but what place do you go that they flat out talk shit in front of you. And she said it in English. I will never go back here or recommend. I gave them a second chance after going recently. I paid over $200 for two gel manicures and two pedicures!!Ridiculous!!! The woman doing my pedicure said my legs were a little dry and I needed some cream and asked if I wanted it and a little extra massage I said sure. That cost me double the pedicure for both me and my daughter. The manicure and pedicure were just OK, nothing special. Last time I was there, even with a gel manicure my nails chipped a week later. Under new management! They bought some new furniture and changed the interior a little and it looks much more warm and inviting. I desperately wanted to get my nails done. I went to my usual place the Nail Bar in Rivervale. They are excellent. Took my temperature when I walked in. Everyone had masks on and took all precautions. There is also a barrier between you and your nail tech. Very clean and they always do a great job. Can't wait to come back for my next appointment. This place is horrible!! The Spanish girls didn't even know how to file and paint nails. Then before we were gonna walk out the Asian owner did our nails and she had such a horrible attitude and took forever even though she knew we were in a rush. Another customer said she was never going to come back. To top it off when I paid and before I was going to give a tip the owner asks who was going to give a tip and kept asking which pissed me off and I told her, it is my choice If I want to give a tip Or not you do not ask. I will never go back there again! I would rather pay more and get better service without getting upset with poor customer service. read more

I went in for a pedicure and was treated like a princess. Young, listened to my needs and gave a wonderful pedicure. The massage was long and relaxing. The salon is set back from the road - next to Cuban Eddie's. The inside is bright and decorated nicely. Pedicures start at $32 and go up depending on what you like. I asked for a lip wax and 10 minute hand/ arm massage- and was happy with both. The rest of the staff is warm and friendly. Give them a try the next time you want a service. Decided to try this new place so I scheduled simultaneous appointments to treat myself to a pedicure and a gel manicure for each of my daughters on Wednesday evening. Was told we should come at 6:15pm. First thing that stood out when we arrived was the sparse and dingy decor which was surprising for a place just opened and advertising for customers. When this place was Kathy Nails it was a nice looking salon. Strange I thought.... but oh well. More importantly was the poor staffing and commitment to our SCHEDULED appointments. When we arrived there was an owner (male) getting a pedicure by one nail tech and the other owner Michelle was switching between two customers simultaneously doing their gel manicures. Ok so we waited about 15 min.... I was called for my pedicure and daughters sat/stood talking to me waiting to be called. My pedicure was the ABSOLUTE WORST I've ever had done! It was completed in under 25 min. and I could have done a better job on myself! By the time I was done and drying the owner Michelle still had not called my one waiting daughter (the second one simply left after waiting 30 min to get her manicure done across the street) and to add insult to injury she started to take another customer without so much as a word of acknowledgment to my daughter who was now waiting over 45 min for her scheduled 6:15 appointment. I truly don't understand how or why these places even bother investing in a business if they are going to treat their customers this way. I would be surprised if this salon lasts even 3 months. Atrocious customer service and no ambiance whatsoever. read more

However, the last time I went I asked for a refill for my acrylics and the manager/owner (not sure which one she is) did not do it correctly and did not fill anything in it at all. When she asked for the payment I politely told her she did not fill them in how I had asked her to do. She acknowledged this and instead of fixing them or giving me an appropriate discount, she only took off $5 from the $90 I would have had to pay. I tried using my birthday discount at checkout which she declined telling me she had already given me a discount. During this whole experience she was extremely rude and impolite making it seem like I was wrong for speaking up. I walked out and have not returned nor will I ever. Do not recommend. read more

This nail salon is literally awful. If you are looking for somewhere new to go, or even need to go somewhere quick because your typical salon is busy, this is not the place. I went here for a gel fill-in and the women told me they knew what I was talking about, but clearly didn't. They used a buffer to get the polish off of my nails, which is normal, but in the process, buffed off all of my fingertips and cuticles. Three of my fingers were literally bleeding when I left the salon. The woman was also working on my nails for over an hour. I told her that she didn't need to paint them and to just finish up as soon as possible, and they still charged me full price. They charge $50 for a fill-in and then $15 to polish your nails after they've been filled it. This is atrocious. The nail salon that I usually go to only charges $40. The salon was empty and there's clearly a reason. I'm never going back. read more

I've been coming here for six months. I adore Jenny's work but every time Michele does my nails I usually walk out disappointed (her work is sloppy, fast, and careless) but not enough to make a fuss. However this time she 1) told me to come in when she was clearly busy then 2) rushed my service and 3) didn't even do what I asked which was to repair a broken nail in addition to a gel manicure. She literally proceeded to cut off all my nails before I could say anything and 4) she didn't bother to separate the gel from my skin before curing them under the light so she then proceeded to take the drill and cut away at my skin to separate the gel. It's been about a week and my fingers are throbbing and feel thick and terrible. Michele, shame on you. This was the worst most dangerous, lazy, despicable manicure I've ever had in my life. read more
