As always, I headed to Yelp and while there are a million and one places to go to get your hair done, not only did this salon have awesome reviews, but it was less than 5 minutes from my house which let's be honest, convenience will make you a little more willing to trying some new. I arrived for my appointment and had no problem finding the salon since I knew exactly where it was (corner of Veteran's Memorial and Discovery Blvd across from the Chevron). There was plenty of parking so that was no issue either. I walked in and appreciated that I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the young lady let me know the stylist I was seeing, Shirley, would be with me shortly. Off to a great start*wink* Shirley walked up to me and introduced herself and let me know we would get started and promptly took me to the area where she washed my hair and I must say, she did a wonderful job. Afterwards, she placed me under the dryer and then I was in her chair getting styled. I liked that she asked how exactly I wanted my hair styled and once I was finished she even pinned my hair up for me and gave me a shower cap to protect my hair from the drizzle outside. She was super friendly and I absolutely loved my hair when I finally decided to take the pins out the next morning...and I got a lot of compliments! Overall, the salon is super nice...big and spacious with plenty of wash bowls and dryers. Loved the atmosphere from the music that was playing to the friendly staff. Then, I got transferred mid sentence to somebody else who said the tech can come 30 minutes after the time I had just been told... Not really sure what happened, but I was definitely getting routed through a call center and felt like I was getting the runaround. It seems like a cool service, but ultimately, we will not be rescheduling because of the many issues that we experienced before they even arrived at our home.
