I've moved around a great deal and have always utilized this type of service. Thus, I've had plenty of experience (sugar, hard, cloth strips, tweezing...all that fun stuff). It seems that most of those "waxing" in Bend, use hard wax versus wax with cloth strips. The end result (in my experience) has been it takes longer (one must wait for the wax to harden), it leaves more wax residue (ugh...), it doesn't pull out the hair as well (I was told it works better for those "hard to get" areas...meh!), and really isn't any more comfortable (I've been told it's not supposed to hurt as much...there's just no getting past that part). Luckily, Jill uses cloth strips (what I'm used to, and has always seemed to work the best) and I must say....there was not one bit of waxy residue and there wasn't a single stray hair to be found. I was in and out in a jiffy and couldn't be happier. I can't recommend Jill highly enough! If a Brazilian is what you're looking for...well....this is the place!

My experience at nail couture was by far the worst experience I've had in my entire life. I left in tears! I have never felt such sadness and hostility from a cosmetologist. The moment I walked through the door I was demande to pick a color. The lady who attempted to do my nails was clueless on customer service. I quess the complementary beverages are none existent considering my request for a diet soda was unexceptable. My 30 minute nail experience was unbelievable! I really can't believe that a customer would be treated in such a manner. I was not allowed to even choose the colors I wanted. Much less she would not even allow me to select a specific design her attitude was outrageous! I tried keeping to myself on my disappointment with her performance. ... I must mention I was not looking for a special offer. I was willing to pay whatever amount of money for what I wanted. So what happened was I did not receive a professional work of art that I expected. What I did receive was a blurry, smear on my nails which was definitely not what I was hoping for :( I am an artist. I do my own nails from time to time. Thus I was expecting a much more professional experience. One would expect that these cosmetologist would at least show some type of customer orientation. As a customer I would expect that the service's and the end product would be according to my liking and satisfaction. I really don't care about having a diet soda or perfect nails. I was just hoping for a happier and more satisfying outcome... This place was awful in every sense of the word. I hope none else has to endure such an unpleasant experience! read more
