Payton was awesome! She took time to listen to what I wanted. I left with hair that looked like the pictures I took in...that never happens! She gave me great advice for my hair type as far as how to make the color last longer, how to get the curls I desired, and did it all with an infectious, fun attitude . I tried two of the three stylists and was so sadly disappointed each time. Neither one seemed to really take pride in their work, and the second one wasn't able to calculate the color correctly, so I now have very pretty but very pink roots. They each seemed to be much more interested in their phones than their work, and the place is messy and dirty. Getting my hair colored/styled is an expensive treat for me, and I want to at least feel that my patronage is important to them. read more

I tried this salon and got one of the worst haircuts of my life. I made an appointment with Shania. I asked for shaping and she took off 3 inches without even checking with me even after I told her my biggest concern was having my hair chopped off. The layering was horrible and left my hair is uneven chunks. I had to go to another salon to fix what they could and the new stylist said it was one of the worst layering jobs she had seen. There is no growing my hair back quickly but I will never go back here and really suggest you stay away. read more

Stopped by here for a quick trim before ending my visit to Redmond. It was easy to schedule a last minute appointment. The haircut itself is good- just trimming the ends and the stylist (Shania) didn't cut it too short. The environment needs some improvement but you get what you pay for and 40 bucks for a haircut isn't too pricey like some other salons. But didn't really get the pampered salon experience (atmosphere, good head massage when getting washed etc). read more

Shania is SOOO bad. Please DO NOT go to this salon. First off, she's very unprofessional. Gives off an "I don't want to be here" vibe. I asked for an all over color, got home, and Im still washing out the dye. Secondly, has no idea how to cut hair. Never once did she ask where i part it and didn't check to see if both sides were even. She just started chopping right after dying my hair. OH AND I told her I wanted one inch off, and she was chopping at least three inches and kept saying "it looks like I'm chopping a lot but I'm really not." And I just anxiously laughed. Like what is wrong with you???? My jaw dropped and I was panicking. My hair part was all jacked up, and she was just freaking chopping away. I'm in utter shock at how GOD AWFUL my hair is. This woman needs a serious wake up call. You cannot treat your customers this way. And by looking at previous reviews, it seems like she is doing this to all of her customers!! That's so not okay!! I will never ever return here and will be spreading the word to my Redmond and bend friends. This place will not be getting service. Sorry not sorry. And this salon will definitely get sued for keeping this stylist on for having a history like she does! She's doing the same thing to all of her customers! What do you expect? read more

I started looking like a living Woodstock relic. Then, when salons could open, I found The 9 Salon. And without knowing any more, I asked for an appointment with Stacey. Good Lord. Friendly, easy-going, professional, and one hell of a good stylist. I hit the jackpot. I looked great (to me) when she finished and knew I found the place and the person. This salon is my favorite!! The warm and welcoming environment is home to the most talented and professional hairdressers. I am absolutely impressed each time I go with the high end, quality products used, and the wealth of knowledge that Rachel has. She was trained at one of the best schools in the country, and it's evidenced each time I go in the way she confidently knows just what to do to make my hair feel it's best. I made an appointment with Chelsea for a root touchup and a cut. She gave me a great cut and my color looks great. Price was what I expected ($90) and I am glad I found Salon 9 and Chelsea. I am a full time RVer so I am always having to try a new stylist wherever I go. I have. Regular stylist in AZ where I stay for the winter but summers I'm always in a different location. I'll be going back again before I leave for Florence, OR at the end of the month. read more

My daughter went to get her hair cut here. She was very uncomfortable because none of the stylists were wearing masks. During this time, this should not happen. The stylist was in a hurry to leave, so did not straighten or style her hair. For $40 this should be a given. read more

Love this place and am happy with the quality and care of service I get here and I don't believe they deserve a 1 star review because a customer is upset over a mask. I've read information sharing the hazards of wearing masks long term. And we certainly shouldn't expect employees to wear them eight hours a day. So please stop letting so much fear divide us. read more

I have been going to Rachel (the owner) for two plus years now. She never makes me wait and always makes you feel like you are her only client. She always listens to me and does an excellent job on my cut and color. I had surgery on my neck and brain almost 2 years ago and not only did she help me to get my hair prepared for not being cut or dyed for a while after she helped me afterwards with my special limitations with having my hair washed etc. I feel blessed to have found her as I had been searching for a great hair salon for 4 years prior. I would highly recommend Rachel and her salon. You do want to call in advance as she books up well in advance. But she does accomodate saturday appointments. read more

I just moved to Terrebonne from Portland so I hadn't found a stylist yet. I gave The 9 Salon a shot (based on reviews I read online, and f/ photos of the salon itself. It looked hip and cool!) and am so happy I did! Chelsea knocked it out of the park! She did exactly what I wanted and then some. She listened and made my color perfect - and my cut too. Oh my goodness, I was so scared to try yet another new salon. Some of the stylists look like they practice on each others hair with different strange colors or cuts. I was so happy to walk into the salon to see Connie's smiling face. What a relief. No tattoo's, no purple hair, no piercing's. Don't get me wrong I'm sure these gals are great stylists but I really miss the nice simple sweet style of a pretty lady, but enough about that. What she did to my messed up hair was amazing. I have been floundering between stylists for a year since moving to this area. Thank goodness for Connie. This Eagle has landed., She has a client for life with me. The worst haircut I have ever had. I showed Angel a picture of not only me but a sample of the style I was looking for. My hair is uneven on both sides, the sides are so short I can't even push them back and they are virtually nothing like what I asked for.
