Due to health and life getting in the way, my hair had gotten super long. I decided I should donate it! But where? I asked around and found this place. You can see here and on their instagram that this is the place to go. I was scared. Wigs for Kids (the charity they're affiliated with) asks for at least 12 inches. When I called to make an appt I was told Cheriee would be best for this cut. She knew exactly what to do and put a lot of time and attention into giving me a super cute haircut! I requested a full foil and trim with Lacee Danville, a stylist who stood me up for 2 prior appointments, my bad, she was the only stylist available on my 1 day off. The price was listed at 120.00 I went in a bit early and waited as my appointment was at 1:00. She got started on my hair at 1:33. She took 2 clients in while I was there having conditioner "processed" something I did not ask for. She insisted I have 3 " cut off my length then without my permission took at a minimum of 8". I finally at 3 hours and 15 minutes asked her to just rinse the stuff out of my hair and allow me to leave. She charged me 170.00 saying it was extra for the conditioner and low lights? Who the he'll knows? I just told her I had to have my friend to the pharmacy in Bend by 5:00 pm and I had never spent 4 hours in a salon for this. She argued and said it was because of the conditioner she put on my hair, when I mentioned she started 33 minutes late and took clients during this time she didn't acknowledge it. She also had a client come in who had to wait then was rushed out who said it wasn't the first time but it would be the last. Do not go to this person, she performs a bad service, has terrible time management and will over charge you while giving you every excuse known to man! read more

The vibe of this place is so laid back and comfortable, I was pleasantly surprised. Jesse did a great job on my short razor cut and made me feel as though it was her pleasure to do such a great job! From the massaging shampoo chair to the styling process and each step in between, I could not have been more comfortable. This review is regarding Lacee. I highly recommend that you DO NOT book with her. Save yourself the grief of either getting your appointment cancelled or a text message 15-30 minutes before your appointment that she is running behind. Every single appointment I have had with Lacee she was ALWAYS running behind and I am not talking a few minutes, sometimes an hour behind. Once or twice I can understand things happen but not every single appointment. Lacee needs to understand her clients have a life as well and their time is just as valuable as hers. read more

This review is specifically for Lacee Daniels. Save yourself grief and do not book with her. My first appointment she cancelled with less than an hours notice because she was sick. Ok, that happens. Second attempt she texts to tell me she is running behind and to come a half hour after the scheduled appointment. When I arrive she says she is still running "15" minutes behind. It was almost a half hour before she was able to get me in her chair. She then proceeded to take two phone calls while cutting my hair!!!!! An hour scheduled hair cut ate up my entire afternoon. Today, after I arrived she said she was running behind (shocker) and asked I return 30 minutes later. No text, no call because their system was down. Sure it was (!) but maybe an apology would have been helpful rather than a put out attitude. It's a shame because I'd like to support local but "stylists" like her give Redmond an untactful, unprofessional reputation. read more

I was hesitant to keep my appointment with Lacee because I'd read some pretty negative reviews about her. Although she was running late when I arrived, she clearly communicated with me, listened to all of my concerns and requests, and spent extra time with me to make sure my hair was just what I wanted. I've already booked my return appointment, and I'm very happy with how kind, helpful and skilled she was. She even took time to explain each stop of what she was doing, and why. Had the worst experience with this salon and will never go back. The stylist didn't listen to anything I was saying that I wanted done. She literally just cut one inch side bangs and blunt cut the bottom of my hair - when I asked for a long shag (layers) and told her that I didn't like short bangs. My day started out with my daughter getting bumchums stuck in her hair. After calling and talking to Rachel she gave me some suggestions. When those didn't work they took time out of their day to cut my daughters hair. They did an amazing job and even made her feel special by curling her hair. Review of Full Acrylic Set by Alicia Anderson at Ka Nui Salon The short of it: 2.5 stars - marginally better than the average discount nail salon artist. First Impressions: (4 stars) Upon first entering the salon, it is very well decorated. The waiting space is comfortable and you are greeted immediately by a friendly staff member. I get my hair done at this salon, so I knew the atmosphere would be fantastic, and it was. My appointment was at 10:00 am and the nail tech was a few minutes late. Friendliness: (5 stars) Alicia was very friendly! She immediately offered me some cold water. This was the best conversation I have ever had while having my nails done! I truly enjoyed the interactions we had during the service. Time Performing Service: ( 2 stars) I spent 2 hours in the salon, having the set put on. Due to quality issues, I had to come back in, which dropped the star rating for this category. Quality: (2 stars) I came in wanting black tips, with the red, green, and yellow "rasta" colored stripes on them. The lines are not straight, there is black showing thru the colored stripes, and there are "bubbles" of color in places. The nails on each hand are all different lengths, as they were not compared against each other to ensure uniformity. I felt the tips were formed nicely enough by hand. The biggest issue was one I discovered after going home. A rather large part of my pinky nail was not covered by the tip or acrylic and kept catching on things. It tore down to the quick and was quite painful! I messaged Ka Nui on FB and they responded immediately, asking how they could fix it. They offered to have me come back in and have them fixed. I sent pictures of the nails with this message. I was scheduled for a 1:00 PM fix appt. Again, the nail tech was several minutes late. I explained my unhappiness with the various issues, stressing that the nail that was uncovered and catching was the biggest issue. She responded by taking a new nail file, and filing off the entire nail that was showing, then covered the area in glue. It happened so fast, I wasn't sure what had occurred until it was too late. She informed me that the lines on my nails were as good as they were going to get when done by hand. I left unhappily. Upon getting home, my pinky started stinging incredibly and I then noticed that a HUGE part of my quick was now open and exposed to the air. She literally filed off my entire nail to the bed! The right way to correct this would have been to remove the pinky nail and redo it. I have sterilized it many times, but am still worried about infection with the amount of open nail bed I have. The reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1, is because I believe she did an acceptable job with the tips. Price: (1 star) I paid $65, including tip. I would have expected to have paid $20 for the quality I received. read more

I had an appointment at 10:00 am I got a phone call 30 mins before my appointment asking if it could be pushed back to 10:45. That would of been fine if the whole time she wasn't rude an acting as if I were an inconvenience. She later said she was running 30 mins behind schedule an I honestly felt terrible the whole time. On top of that my hair is orange, yellow, and grey.. I've talked to several different hair dressers about the way the bleach was applied to my hair and they all have told me the same thing.. She applied the bleach straight to my roots and then walked away.. then she realized she had waited to long and asked another girl to come help her finish putting the bleach in my hair.. everyone I've talked to told me that you never start at the roots and you always use foil.. foil was only used in two spots of my hair.. then she had another girl rise out my hair because my girl was doing someone else's hair. I was left in the sink for about 20 mins till someone finally came over and did my toner..( a different girl. We're at 4 girls now) I was left in the sink for another 20 plus mins.. when I was finally done she left my hair damp because she was "30 minutes behind schedule." After a couple days I went back because my hair was shocking me and in a couple spots I was afraid my hair was gonna break off! I was given a treatment with some shampoo and conditioner but my hair is still falling out! You shouldn't look down and find a pile of hair on your lap. I'm not one to complain but I spent $105 on something that has put me in literal tears. read more

Christie was recommended to me by another nail tech in town. I have had trouble with thin and tender nails and went in for a trial appointment to see how things would work. I have had such a noticeable improvement in the overall health of my nails since working with her. No more tender nail beds with hot spots, peeling. etc. Christie is great to work with, listens to what you want and takes pride in her work. At first I was a bit leary because I had scheduled an eyebrow wax and a facial online. When I showed up, I was told there was no one there on the day that could do a facial. So I had my eyebrows waxed but had to reschedule the facial. The facial made up for the inconvience of the scheduling mix up. The facial that Amber gave was fabulous!
