Truthfully, if I can give you zero stars, I would. Got an amazing gift certificate for my husband for Mother's Day, and was super excited to use it. My husband went in and verified pricing to make sure that we would have enough for everyone to do the normal services that they wanted. I went to the website to verify pricing everything look like it was on the up and up. I've been through enough nail salons to know sometimes they change the pricing so I figured I'd give him a call. Good thing I did because it's pricing is like $20-$40 more than one advertise on his website and what my husband was quoted. After expressing my concern about the prices online and the other issues, the owner offered to give me a refund if I came to the salon today. The moment I showed up, he called the police to try to get me trespassed. Bottom line never go to this salon! For the owner Karmas a bitch. And you'll get what's coming to him from Karma! All i have to say is i should've listened to the reviews... If i could rate 0 stars i would Me and my coworker decided to treat ourselves on one of our days off so we decided to try something new. I read some reviews prior to going but i should've went with my gut and go somewhere else. The place was pretty and very laid back... the vibe was just like any other nail salon... nothing really stood out accept the pedicure room in the back... otherwise pretty basic. When you first they say hello, how can i help you... now don't get me wrong i don't mind the greeting it was the tone that was put into the greeting... that's when the red flags began. Us girls both got full sets with gel, they told us to pick a color even tho we had pictures with what we had in mind. I had James and he had mine done in almost 20 min... its very sloppy my hands are lightly stained with black dip (which i didn't ask for) and they are uneven my tips look terrible and the nails are bumpy and wonky. He didn't make any conversation with me other than to ask me about the color. Mine were finished.... but rushed and sloppy. My coworker started off with a nice woman, she was very soft and calm struck up conversation right away... Only negative thing about her is it was like she didn't know what she was doing... James (the owner) made her constantly get up and do every little thing while she was trying to balance having a customer (WHAT THE HECK DUDE). After finishing my nails, james had my coworker move to his station so he could do hers... He kept muttering under his breath criticizing and making rude comments about what the nice lady had started. After fixing everything, he began to use dip for the black part of her nails... same thing stained her hands and she didn't ask for it... moving on to filing her cuts her, she's already in pain because he's being rough with her and he just laughs after he cuts her saying wow your blood is really red... i'm sorry but that was just rude and unnecessary. Well... so my husband I were in Rochester for testing for myself so we thought we would destress a bit. My husband and I both get regular pedicures and I have acrylic nails. The pedicure was actually pretty good for the price. We had the basic pedicures so it's exactly like it says "basic". Water was chilly and no scents or bubbles/jets at all. The down side started when I was getting my fill. He made me bleed with the mail file and then hurt my cuticles twice. He then blamed me because he said "it shouldn't hurt". Then the nail dryers were not working and he kept blaming and questioning me about "what are you doing!?" . I had a gel nail polish that I was trying to get rid of. It was a quick stop, just because I was next to this place. Salon look nice and clean. The lady was nice. But she dented my nails so bad, it was painful ,my nails are ruined because she was drilling so deep almost to the skin, will take me months to grow everything back to normal, she cut my nails uneven and hardly even polish it. Few weeks ago my daughter with her friend went there, and my daughter's friend went back because her nails fell off next day. I should've known better and not go there. Nail Envy Spa is very clean. I like the steps the owners take to keep the spa looking nice and clean! The owner and his wife are great! I have had several nail dip manicures by James. They look great and last a long time. I loved my pedicure that his wife gave. Unfortunately, I am not as impressed with some of the other nail techs. I had gel not dip the last manicure. In 9 days I have returned to the spa to have 4 nails fixed and as of today 3 more are broke or chipped. I will have my hometown nail person give me my next manicure. We booked 3 manicures and pedicures for a girls days with a couple friends on a Saturday before we all went on vacation. The pedicure was great, the back room for pedicures is super cool and it is saving this from being a one star review. The gel manicure on the other hand was just bad, my nails were chipped by Wednesday (so were the nails of the other girl I was with who got gel). I called and the owner told me he'd fix my nails, which he did for free, this I appreciated, but he fixed the two that chipped and then the next day more started to chip off on the other nails. The last picture is my nails on day 8 even though they "guarantee them for two weeks" The staff was very friendly but the quality is questionable. Teresa took me in and we decided to remove them and replace them with gel polish. She was gentle and gave me good advice on how to care for my nails better. I went to Nail Envy because I had a bad experience at a different nail salon, and Nail Envy was highly reviewed. When James sat me down at his nail station, he assured me that he would make this a good experience, and that I would be coming back. Though I wanted Gel, they upsold me to do dip nails. As I was getting my acrylic nails removed, he hit the skin around my nails with the nail drill multiple times. He did this so much so that he left cuts on 4 of my fingers. I've had my nails done plenty of times before, and I understand that sometimes they bump the skin on accident and it's not a big deal. However, this went beyond that as there are abrasions on 4 of my fingers and they are still quite painful the next day. He then put a large ugly gem on both of my ring fingers, though I never asked for that. I called them the next day to calmly explain the situation and ask for a refund. I'm not usually one to call and complain but I couldn't let this go, especially at the price I paid. James answered and was incredibly rude. Without even letting me finish what I was saying, he denied hurting me at all. I then offered to send him pictures of the cuts. James then accused me of cutting my own fingers just to get a refund. The appointment cost me around $70 and all I have to show for it are ugly nails and pain in my fingers. Even at this point, I feel bad leaving a one star review as this may just be an issue with this one nail tech. It's very possible that the rest of the staff are great at what they do but unfortunately in my case, one bad apple has spoiled the bunch. This was the worst pedicure experience I've had in 35+ years. Upon entering, I got the hard sell on upgrading to a gel manicure, which I declined. The nail tech came out and doubled down on the gel upgrade by telling me that their regular polish would likely peel off later today or tomorrow. That's not saying much for the quality of their work. I stuck with the regular polish even though the red flags were flying high. The first thing I always tell my nail techs is that I DO NOT WANT them to cut the sides of my big toenails because it causes months worth of pain until they grow back. I always ask that they be filed straight across. The first thing she did was take the clippers and cut halfway down the side of my big toenail and try to pull the cut piece of nail down toward my cuticle. I said that I JUST asked her not to do that and she responded by saying "Hon, I've been doing this for 30 years, and I know what I'm doing". She continued to try and cut at the partially disconnected toenail, and I told her to stop. She responded by saying "Fine! I'll just leave it!" and she began filing my nails in huff. She was visibly annoyed and was making me feel uncomfortable. I realized at that point that nothing good was to come out of staying for the rest of the pedi, so I let her know I was done, and I left. My toe is now THROBBING as I knew it would be. I'm not used to this kind of crap service from a nail spa. Maybe the other techs are more knowledgeable and professional, but I won't be going back to find out. read more

So looking for something to do while we are here and I decided to go get my nails done. My husband decided to join me in this process . So after reading reviews we decided to go here. Walking in we were greeted instantly by the owner and were taken back to start our pedicure. I ordered the lavender and husband ordered green tea treatment. My husband has never done this and I am surprised he even had partaken in such a thing. He must of been really bored. Lol. Anyways, the girl that did his was so sweet and patient with him. Mine was funny which I enjoyed. Both were great and did a wonderful job. Then to my surprise the girl asked my husband if he was getting a manicure and he said yes! She was very good and so personal that it was first time I had seen my husband relax since we have been here. I got tips with dip and a different girl did mine. I was impressed when she looked at my hands and said "I'm going to do another coat because it looks like you're hard on your hands ". And she's right I am, that is why I always get the dip because it stays on a decent amount of time for me. All the girls went nice and slow and did a great job. No short cuts. The pedicure even included wax! It was a great experience. I recommend this place for anyone. I must warn you, it is quite expensive but you will get top notch treatment. read more

My overall experience with the staff was wonderful. They are super friendly and got us in right away. I get manicures and pedicures all the time so I will list pros and cons below. The 3 star rating is because I didn't feel the service was worth the price based on other experiences. Pros- Very clean. The pedicure bowls are lined with a new plastic lining for each customer. The place generally felt clean. The staff was super friendly. They got us in quick. Great massage chairs. Cons- Expensive pedicure for Rochester (but is across from Mayo so they can charge more). The last time I paid 40.00 for a pedicure in San Francisco I got champagne, an amazing pedicure and a neck rub after the pedicure. I personally like deep massage of my feet and calves and this was more rubbing. I wish they asked what you prefer. I also was unsure if the pedicure tools were sterile- usually you see the tools get opened from a sterile packet and this time the tools were in a plastic reusable box. Last- my gel manicure (cost- 45.00) was probably the worst I've gotten. I didn't like that the tops of my nails were buffered with an electronic buffer. I felt some nails were cut too short (they weren't all even) and it was just kind of rushed. It's not the worst manicure but I wouldn't go back for another one. Just rude! The experience was overall anxiety-inducing. Took my grandma for a nice, relaxing pedicure. Simply asked the guy to cut my toenails down short. He had been filing down my long toenails in a weird, pointy way and I kept asking him to just cut them down short. For some reason, he had strong opinions on MY toes. He was insiste on keeping them long. Lol. And the girl next to him doing my grandma's toes kept telling him, "just cut them. That's what she wants." And then they proceeded to chat back and forth in another language. He seemed super annoyed. I finally was like, "never mind, I was just telling you my preference. But it's ok. Just do it however you think is best." And then he just looked at me and laughed. Meanwhile, I look over and for some reason, my grandma's toe is bleeding...not a lot. But still. Wtf? Unfortunately I will never return. I liked Envy nails because they are close to my house. It was very busy and I came with no appointment scheduled so I had no problem when they asked me to return in an hour for my manicure and Pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure did a very good job and I am grateful of that, however James, the stylist who did my french tip nails was very rude and sloppy with his work. I've had him before and I know he can do a good job because I've seen him do a good job on my friends however, if he does not like you or you are not his regular, he does not care how your nails look. I asked for French tip w/ a thin layer of white. When he asked for my length, asked for them short and he replies " Oh, you surprise me most of "them" (im assuming minorities) just want them really long" I avoided the comment because I just wanted my nails done. He proceeded to make comments like "let me stop messing with you before you beat me up." "I would tell you your Fingers are crooked, but you'll just beat me up." Waste of money...He's lucky I paid. Friday May 27, 2022 I hardly ever use my debit card. I had not used it in over 6 months and that time was at my specific bank ATM. I used my debit card here at this establishment and within hours of use, My bank called about charges to my debit account. I called them back and there were 3 attempts made for up to almost $1000. They deleted 2 charges and one was for an actual cash w/d from a bank ATM on the east coast, which clearly I was not there, seeing I was in Minnesota. My bank is investigating and are requesting camera footage and they refunded the amount back to me, cancelled my card and informed me that someone had copied my card information from an establishment that was most likely recent. I am not making accusations, however when my bank tells me that and the ONLY place I used it was here, it is very coincidental that the days and hours match up from when I paid. The Nail Salon told me that using my debit card was better because there is a credit card surcharge, that debit was no additional charges and seeing there was lots of money going out for my daughter's wedding, I decided it was worth saving a little extra with the bill expense as it was. The nail technician who did my husband's pedicure took a huge chunk of skin off his big toe and it really bled bad. He is now taking care of it and hoping he doesn't get infection. This has become my favorite nail salon in Rochester. The staff is very friendly, and their color selection is huge! I haven't seen another place with as many dip powder color options as they have. It's new, clean, and beautiful inside. The staff is really friendly. They have a separate room for pedicures. I've gotten several pedicures, gel, and dip powder here and been pleased every time. The price is possibly a little more than other places in Rochester, but it's worth it! Parking can be a little difficult, but download the parking app to pay the meter on your phone :) read more
