0 stars -- Extremely rough service, intimidation, and deeply disturbing experience. Appropriate legal and business remedies have been put into place against this business. I went to Nail Fever at 1650 South Federal Highway, Delray Beach, FL on Friday, February 20, 2026 at approximately 5:00PM, and this was one of the most upsetting and disturbing service experiences I have ever had. My technician, Vivian, persuaded me to get hard gel. The result was completely unacceptable. The nails were uneven, misshapen, bulky in some areas and thin in others, with jagged, unfinished edges instead of smooth, properly sealed tips. They look sloppy and improperly structured, and I am attaching photos as evidence. During the service, Vivian was extremely rough and forceful with my hands. She repeatedly yanked and shook my fingers aggressively while filing, using excessive pressure that caused real pain and irritation to my skin and cuticles. Her behavior was erratic and uncomfortable, and she appeared more focused on drawing attention to herself than providing careful, professional service. I became uncomfortable and left. When I returned briefly because I had forgotten my phone, the situation escalated immediately. Staff began confronting me aggressively, raising their voices, and recording me on video while following me around the salon. At one point, a male staff member, who appeared to be the owner or manager, positioned himself directly at the exit and stood in my way while I was trying to leave. He remained there, smirking and laughing, which made me feel intimidated and prevented me from freely walking out in that moment. This was extremely distressing and inappropriate behavior from someone running a business. The police were called, and I paid $30 under pressure simply to end the situation and leave safely. No customer should ever be handled this way. Between the painful, aggressive nail service, the poor quality of the work itself, and the hostile and intimidating conduct of staff, this was an unacceptable and disturbing experience from start to finish. I am pregnant and came in with a friend for pedicures, I was extremely uncomfortable in their pedicure chairs, they did not even seem to be able to know how to control the chair and they acted so unbothered by the fact that I am pregnant... water temp was not adjusted or asked, my comfort was not of concern during my appointment. we got two deluxe pedicures and they did them in entirely different order leaving me and my friend to wonder if I was getting the same treatment... (my friend had a far better experience) I was polite in asking about all of this and the person working on me made me feel very bad like I was being rude but I'm paying for a service that should be the same. The tools were not sanitized for either me or my friend, another issue especially with pregnancy. I had higher hopes in this salon on the up side I will say they took this booking last minute and were accommodating in that sense. Unfortunately I had to get my toes redone at my local salon shortly after due to poor french design. They left same towels on the pedicure chair, soaked and filled with nail files the entire service. It was not comfortable to sit in or to have as a treatment and the end result not worth it at all read more

Update: I have come multiple times over the years and have had more variable quality experiences. The last times I have gone, the regular polish mani/pedi has chipped within a day, and within a week the polish on 3 toes had begun to chip. There is still a large selection of regular and gel polish colors and a large selection on the back wall of dip powders. The interior of the salon and each station is still clean and well kept. The prices have gone up quite a bit. The basic pedicure with regular polish is now $33. There are add-ons for hot towels, paraffin ($12), foot massage ($15-$35), and so on. There is also an additional $22 add-on surcharge for using gel polish for a pedicure. A regular manicure is now $22, and a regular gel manicure is $44. It is $50 to $60 for a dip powder manicure depending on color. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I went in for a manicure and pedicure. I had gel on my fingernails and regular polish on my toes. While I was getting a pedicure, the girl wrapped each fingernail in acetone with aluminum foil, then put plastic gloves over my hands. When she took aluminum foil wraps, my fingernails were white. She destroyed the nail beds. This was two weeks and my nails are still white! Then the girl tried to say it was my fault. I am not taking any medications and there is nothing wrong with me. I entered the place as a walk-in client around 5pm, the place was pretty busy but Nikki took me in right away to prep my nail tips, in the meantime I was able to get my pedicure done by Vinny who was also awesome and gentle! Both of them were kind to chat with and were super patient while I was picking out colors; Nikki was very attentive on how I liked my nails shaped and Vinny was considerate about my nail care experience. Horrible service and nail job. My nails looked like stick-ons and I could still see my actual nail. When I nicely said that I didn't like the way it looked and if she could please fix, she said it was my cuticles and that's the reason Why it looked like that. Never have my nails looked so bad and none of them are the same shape. I wish I never told her to fix them because she became instantly rude and was so rough with my hands. On top of this, I fell right outside of their store, ruined my pedicure, and no one came outside to help me up and I was on the floor for awhile due to injuring my knee. Mind you I kept my composure and acted respectfully the entire time I was in the store. Since I was dropping my husband in the plaza across the road to a massage appointment, I decided to see what other nail salons were nearby. Nail Fever opened right at 9am, and I was able to walk immediately in and get a pedicure. The salon felt safe with immediate hand washing, temperature check, clean and dirty pen holders and most importantly, plexiglass between myself and the nail tech, and social distancing between seats. My nail tech did a great job and managed to pretty much match the idea I had in my head from a few different pictures I showed him. I went in for acrylic today and the lady at the front desk told me it would be $45 and gel color on top is an additional $22. I got regular acrylic with NO gel color and was charged $65 then was told I was given a "discount." On top of this, I also booked for Gel X which I was lied to about and found out they don't do Gel X when I sat for my appointment. Make sure you go to a salon that posts their prices! read more

This place has potential, looks nice and clean on the outside coming in. Asked for a hard gel fill in, the first guy tried to give me a dip instead because he didn't know how to do the liquid hard gel. Then he passed me along to another guy who knew a little bit more but still had learning to do. He applied the hard gel correctly at first but when it came time to shave it down to make it even he did one hand right while the other he completely took off the hard gel so it was my real nail completely exposed looking like he never even put it on.I had to have him redo the hand he messed up because he wanted to fix his mistakes with the regular gel to make up for the hard gel being gone. Was in there for almost two hours having them try to figure out how to do the gel they offer the service for. The French tips came out okay but the shape of my nails are uneven. The first guy messed that up and the second guy had to fix his work after. Between the two of them neither knew what they were doing. I kept telling them they were doing the nails wrong but they kept going saying in the end it will be nice (false). I've been getting hard gel done for over a year now so I know exactly how it should be applied, i kept telling the guys how to do it but they did not listen very well. Would suggest teaching the nail techs how to properly do hard (liquid) gel they call it. Why offer a service they don't know how to do when you are charging way too much to get done paid $72 not including tip for them to cut my finger, make my nails uneven, and completely mess up the hard gel. Thankfully I didn't get a design as it's $5 per nail and being that they had trouble with a French tip I'm sure a design wouldn't go well.
