Big plus--this is like OnLY one of two nail salons open on Sundays in Doylestown, so that's a plus. It's very big, spacious, with up to date equipment. Massage chairs work, TVs on, light music, etc. Nice variety of colors and powders. Lots of staff, so you get your service without feeling like you have to wait long or that you're rushed. The spa pedicure, which is steeply priced at $67 is worth it with lots of wraps, 20 min massage, callus removal, steamer treatment, hot stone, etc. The staff were pleasant enough. Use gloves during pedicure, wear masks/aprons, with name tags. Beware of one thing, if they ask you for a certain service/treatment, it's because it costs extra ie neck massage at end of manicure, collagen gloves with 3 min hand massage is $8 more--not sure it it's worth that. A girlfriend of mine swears by this place so I agreed to join her. I'm usually picky about nail places and rarely go because I know too many people who've had problems, but she's a regular. I will say that everything seemed very clean here EXCEPT THE BLEEDING CUT ON MY TECHNICIAN'S HAND. And that's one of the good things I have to say. I walked in at our appointment time and as I tried to choose a color, the guy hovered over me saying things in a language I don't understand. He was maybe 2" away. I told him I just needed a second and asked him to wait elsewhere, but he persisted buzzing around nearly touching me. That's unnecessary and annoying. We made our appointments simultaneously and told them we were together, yet still had to remind them to let us sit near each other, which they acted annoyed about. The guy continued to rush me and then got very pushy about upgrades, as if I'm going to get a $65 pedicure from a strip mall nail place with sticky note signs. Stop. He rushed through my pedicure, annoyed I wasn't up for one of the upgraded packages, so that my pedicure finished way faster than my friend's. Then, he ushered me off for a manicure (then didn't seat her by me). During the manicure, he mentioned my nails were curved inward and asked if I wanted them cut. I said just to even them out (I keep them tidy). He then cuts them right in the middle, forcing them straight, which fucking hurts - just as he had indicated?! Dude, cut from the fucking sides. That's just lazy AF. PLUS HE CUT THEM ALL DOWN WHEN THEY ONLY NEEDED A FILING! But once he'd done one, I had to cut them all. Then he cut my cuticle and made it bleed. This place is not only expensive, but every time I've tried to go here (because often times they have availability and they're open on Sundays) I end up needing to go back several times for repair which is SO annoying. Also, their pedicure... they barely let your feet soak in the water at all, half the time they start on the toes before you've even dipped your feet in, this makes no sense and really irks me as I'm paying a steep price to soak and relax. They try to upsell you on EVERYTHING. They turn the pedicure page to the most expensive one and you flip back 3 pages to find an affordable option. Came in with my mom and friend. They both got pedicures. They both said probably ten times "basic pedicure. Nothing extra. No massage". They handed them a menu to order more expensive ones. They handed it back and said no thank you "express pedicure". Exactly what they call it. They continues to do all the fancy things. Meanwhile they are saying no. Charged them $47. They acted like they had no clue they were told otherwise. They 100% did. My moms big toe had nail polish all smooshed in the crease too. I got a full set acrylic with gel. He was so forceful and rude. He was literally digging when trying to clean our my cuticles. My fingers are still irritated. I guess whenever he thought I wasn't fully relaxing my hand (I couldn't relax my hand anymore) he would yank my finger down or shake my finger. Been here once before never again. Over priced. I don't see the hype over this place. My review is best explained in pros and cons, cons far outweighing the pros. Pros: -they were friendly to my 2-year-old who had to come along for the ride -they have a clean setup Cons: -they charge more than most nail salons. ex., $30 for a full acrylic set. -they have extraneous charges that aren't immediately known. Ex., I picked a color off a wall and was then told it was $3 extra. -the nail tech did not listen to what was asked. I told her, in no unclear terms, that I wanted them as short as possible and round. They came out all wrong. They were uneven lengths. Some were more square, while others were round. They were longer than I liked, but she didn't shorten them despite my asking. I ended up coming home and filing them down in size and shape myself. Why did I pay $30 plus a $5 tip for essentially having to do my own work? -the nail tech did not fully cover my nails in acrylic or polish.. pictures for reference. -the tech filed the hell out of my real nails, leaving me flinching in pain. -she also did not fully adhere the tips to my natural nail, so there are unsightly gaps where dirt becomes lodged and my hair gets snagged when I try to wash my head. Overall, I'm really unhappy with the work that was done. I have no intention of returning, but for those of you who do try this place, expect to pay more. Didnt snell either if these Pedicure cleanup was very fast and neglected. 10 min massage was timed and ok. Manicure even worse- soo many dry cuticles left. Tech didnt understand when i asked to cut/file as short as possible. Tech did not file well- very uneven. Polish laid extra on cuticles. No conversation- only words tech said was "oh my god so busy" referring to people waiting- tech was VERY rushed. 08/2020 was desperate and gave this place another shot. I would probably give it one star. Had a male tech named Tony- extremely rushed even though I had an appointment. Upgrade my pedicure, which was a bad decision. In and out w mani and pedi within an hour. Tony wasn't even going to do hot wax until I saw everyone else getting it done. The worst foot massage. There are several reasons that I would not recommend this salon. The staff(manicurists) both male and female are very unprofessional. They gossip to each other in their language laughing and making fun of customers. Some words they used are similar sounding to English and I could tell they were mocking one client who was getting her fingernails done. Secondly, there is no customer service. Twice I have had a pedicure where the polish changed color from red to orange within 24 hours after application. When I spoke to the management no future accommodation was made. Third, some manicurist try to talk you into more expensive massage treatments then necessary. As a client you need to pay close attention your manicurists . I went here on a whim last night because the usual place I go up the street said they didn't have enough techs to do my refill... for the prices you pay here the service was not what I expected at all. I got a pedicure and it truly was one of the best I've ever had. They give you a timed 10 minute leg a foot massage.. enough said. I also got a refill and my acrylics look amazing. I thought I'd try this place since I've heard okay things but after going there for the first time to get a full set of acrylics I won't be coming back. The man who did my nails was quite rude and cut my cuticles with the drill on multiple fingers. Speaking of the drill, he used the drill to file my natural nails and it hurt so bad! When he applied the tips and acrylic, I mentioned my nails were crooked, he insisted that was my "natural curve". I get my nails done frequently and they're never that crooked. I've had them on for about two weeks now and I've noticed my natural nail tip is not attached to the acrylic and that makes me concerned that water and other gunk can get in. Horrendous. I just got my nails done here and literally, they are all misshapen, uneven, not even fully covered in polish. I kept asking and showing my tech where they were uneven and she kept filing down the opposite side until she filed my nails down into little nubs, after I said I wanted to keep them long. I go to get my nails done every two weeks normally at Jenny's in Warrington but had to go here because i was in a pinch for time and this is closer. The whole time the nail tech was yelling at me to relax my hand and hitting it and giving me attitude. I have never had a problem at jennys and they are able to get the job done regardless of how my hand is. I got the Dip nails and they look okay, but there is a black dot on one of them (white polish). I probably wont go back because the tech just embarrassed me and was rude. I could see her rolling her eyes at me and clearly rushing through the job. Go to jenny's in warrington if you want friendly, efficient, quality service every time. I have been going here since the first day it opened up. I loved it and have been going since, until now. I have been through so much for the past couple times I have been here! I am tired of it. I have had parties here-we couldn't even sit together, we sat in separate chairs all starting in different places. I had to ask them to redo my nails 2 times the last time I was there because they made them look really bad. I am also a student so I should be getting the discount for it but they told me no, only if I get a full set. Which is ridiculous! The last time I was there I spent $80, which is a lot of money coming out of my pocket. I was there 3 days ago and now have fungus on my nails and they are already chipping! This is the worst manicure I have ever had! My nails look like short rough stubs. I told the girl I wanted medium length, round nails, I had long nails. She was cutting so much with the clipper she got the end of my thumb in the clipper. There is nail gel all over all my fingers!
