Loved these ladies!

Very friendly! I came into town and was able to get in easily on a Sunday. Both ladies were kind and helpful. Loved their suggestions. I had both a mani and pedi and enjoyed both. Will come again when I am back in town.

Gel manicure

Today was my first time here. I just moved to Clifton and needed a new salon. This is my second Clifton salon and I'm happy with the results. Large parking lot behind the building is super convenient. The salon itself is a little dated, lighting isn't so great, and there's clutter all over the place. If you can get past the salon's appearance, then you'll be happy. My nail tech was Carol, who I believe is the manager/owner? She did my gel manicure. She had to answer the phone and was the one helping everyone so you have to be patient. She's super apologetic whenever she has to stop. I was fine with it so it was whatever to me. Price was $30 for a gel manicure which is average for the area I believe. I'll be back for a pedicure!

Called and asked for acrylic nail set and when I got there was informed that they don't offer acrylic.

If you're thinking about getting a gift certificate from here I would ask what the policy is. I was…read moregiven a gift certificate from a friend for my birthday that expired a week after it was given to me and didn't know that when I went to use it in November. They didn't tell me it was expired while I was there, let me use half of it, then crossed out the expiration date and made it a date in expire 10/30/25. I was unaware they back-dated it because I was in a hurry to put it in my pocket since I was in rush. Fast forward to today, I went to use it and obviously it wasn't honored because of that new date. I understand that it expired and of course I'm fine not using it since it's completely my fault. It was just the most bizarre experience because 1. No one mentioned it was expired the first time I was there (which I would have been fine paying for my pedicure if someone explained that to me instead writing in a new date so couldn't use it again) Also I'm just not sure why they would give me back a gift certificate that I can't use anymore or never mention that it was expired. 2. What kind of place has a 1 week or 1 month expiration date? (Thinking about it I'm wondering if it the date a typo since it was handwritten because most places around here have a 1 year expiration date when I buy them or am gifted them.) Also my nails were different lengths and the polish I used developed white spots on top (it was a light purple) With so many wonderful places in Montclair, I would definitely consider buying a gift certificate somewhere else with a longer expiration date, a more clear policy, or somewhere that will take the time to explain these dates and policies if you have an issue like I did if you are looking to purchase a gift.

The best nail service I've had since moving back to NJ. In fact, I've already recommended to three friends of mine immediately at leaving the shop. The shop is so comfortable, peaceful and welcoming. I'm definitely a new repeat customer. YAY!!!

I am also very impressed and believe MIRIAM is the best technician for any spa pedicures. She is detailed oriented, extremely caring with sensitive feet such as mine, always brings enthusiastic energy, doesn't rush, best with leg massages, and an overall lovely hard working lady. My favorite items are any of the spa pedicures up on the wall (shea butter/ green tea/ milk honey) but even a simple pedicure is just great too. Both are very relaxing and worth the price! Definitely check out this place that's been around Styertowne Clifton. Pro tip: The massage chairs can do up to 30 mins & any add-on massages (10 or 15 mins) comes with hot stone at the end

I have visited Kim's Rejoicing Nails for years because the owner's customer service has been great. Lately, the owner has not been there on several of the visits I've made, and I have had very bad experiences with one worker whose name sounds like "Lucky" or "Loki." She was very rough with me, and today she burned my hand in an old gel nail dryer. When I said "ouch" and recoiled in pain, I asked if she could change me to the station next to us that was not being used. She didn't want to accept that the nail dryer might have been broken. "Lucky" insulted me, called me names, and yelled at me to leave, even though the service was half done. Her coworker Fanny took over and finished the job, while I tolerated the added humiliation of "Lucky" telling me, in front of the other customers, that she can't deal with stupid customers like me. Because Fanny completed the job professionally, I had visited this place many times before, and because I was in the middle of the service and going elsewhere would have meant getting my nails scraped again with damage, I had the service finished. I did not leave a tip. I will never go back again. If I didn't know the owner for so many years, I would report this incident to the Better Business Bureau. What I went through today is a safety hazard.
