Went in for a dip manicure less than a week ago. This was the most horrible service I ever got. They were very unorganized. Another lady started my nails and for whatever reason she then sent me to another nail tech, a man who did a rush job. So much so that there were chips and smudged nail polish which I made him fix only for them to come clean off Sunday night. I had been in Friday evening after work. It is now Tuesday and I have two nails that came clean off for a manicure I paid $45 for!! Worst place ever I wouldn't recommend them to anybody who is used to good quality nail. Update: almost two weeks since I got this manicure and I have 3 nails left that lasted with this dip manicure that anywhere else lasts me more than 3 weeks in perfect condition. Now one nail fell again and you can see from the picture that it looks infected it is obvious they use nasty unclean materials. Somebody should truly report this business to the health department especially during a pandemic being so callous and careless with materials. I came here because my regular nail girl can't do certain techniques that this place was offering. She doesn't do chrome except for the chrome nail polish and chrome only looks good if they're utilizing a powder. This place also has little foils that they sprinkle on black gel polish to get a different metallic effect -and the price was cheaper than where I normally go. Also they now do ombré pink and white nails where many salons around were trying use gel polishes to mimic the effect -which doesn't look the same... because they didn't have the powder you need to do pink and white ombré too. This place has that powder with a few that are skilled in doing it because it's supposedly harder to do than regular pink and white. They do many special techniques that other salons don't. Review for the Manicure/Pedicure only. I had come across several terrible manicurists in my journey to finding the perfect nail tech in the Ocean State. In talking with one of my friends they had mentioned how great of a job Ethan does at Nail Pro Plus. I realize that the Emerald Square mall is a little more of a hike than your typical Rhode Islander would take for a nail appointment, but it's a good thing i'm a Masshole at heart. Ethan was pretty detailed in his work. He made sure i was comfortable, took his time, made sure everything was done to my liking. The gel manicure came out well and seemed much shinier than most of the places which i've visited in the past. The gel manicure lasted a little more than a week which was great. My pedicure has lasted me about 3 weeks so far and is still flawless. One downside is that i was in there for what seemed like forever. Another place for improvement is that I wasn't really a fan of the arguing between staff members while i was in there or the music being played. Not very relaxing... Additionally, this place is a little more expensive than your average place. So, be sure to ask how much the services cost. Give Ethan a try. You won't be disappointed. A small note on the waxing services... Though i did not partake in the waxing service as a result of some of the negative reviews. I did see several clients come in requesting waxing services while i was there for the duration of my lenghty (2 hours or so) services. They were mostly high school aged kids and out of the 5 which came 4 of the clients came out with flaming pink irritated eyebrows. I had a pedicure and gel fill from a male that has never done my nails before. The pedicure was just ok. My large toe was cut and filed, but done so with a sharp edge. This did not please me to realize this after I got home. They have a zillion (ok, not quite that many) colors to choose from, but no simple pale blue?! Really?! I opted for the beast cancer awareness pink. It looked more pale in the bottle than what was on my nails. Not cool to be reminded of the last time you had that weird pink pepto bismol! My gel fill was done very well. He took his time and this attention to detail was appreciated. He got a 'C' grade for painting my nails with that same pink gel color. It looked like this color had not been used in a while and it had become a bit thick and goopy. He never noticed this and I was surprised when he began a third coat of color. I will go back, but I will choose one of the other nail techs I have had better results from. read more

I went there on Saturday, July 10th 2021 for a mani and pedi. I was the first one in the salon that day and don't remember the girls name who did my nails. I usually get them done by Amy. She was nice but she charged me $65 for my mani when I've NEVER paid more than $50 for no matter the length or style. I got a basic French mani. She tried to say the gold line was a extra $3 the shape was a extra $5 when I've never ever been told that. I get the same exact nail design with several different shapes and have only ever paid $50. I could understand if the prices went up, but that wasn't the case. My only other logical thought is that she added her tip in on TOP of the $15 I gave her (which I regret). As my best friend and I waited for my car to be worked in Sears we decided to walk around the mall and get our nails done. I am a licensed cosmetologist and I specialize in nails as well but instead of doing them myself I decided to treat myself. Since this winter has been so bad my nails are brittle and chipping so as I wait for the winter to get warmer I have been using UV Gel extentions. So all I needed was a fill. My nail tech had no name tag but was in the first station on your left when you walked in the door. She never looked me in the eye, nor shook my hand to introduce herself. No personality what so ever and I was very stand off-ish. She started to file off the gel polish and I warned her to be extra gentle around the fill line and cuticle area. And I also requested that she use a regular buffer than a Dremel tool for the fact if filed down too many layers of the nail when the UV Gel cures it has a painful burning sensation. She never answered or acknowledge that she heard me and kept filing away. As she put the UV Gel she made it really thick by the cuticle area and bumpy down near the free edge. She would do two nails and make me cure them. Argh....the burn...I was seriously biting my tongue and cheek. She also put the gel so close to my cuticle line you can still see the edges of gel on my cuticles which has it causing me to pick at it....she filed it down to attempt to smooth it with the Dremel tool. Then filed it again with a regular buffer. She smoothed it down (not perfectly smooth but fixed alot of the bumpiness), nice and thin, so at the free edge they look so natural however she did great with my left hand, my right hand not so much. She didn't use a cuticle pusher or trimmer. She gave a hand massage which my 4 year old son could do better. She just drag her hand over mind for 5 seconds. I look forward to this part because my hands are sore for doing the same thing everyday. I do a good, long hand massage for my clients and it's their favorite part. Heck, she could of made up for the crappy fill if she gave a great massage but I was extremely disappointed. Paint job she did good. They mainly use OPI, gels & polish. A few Essie, CND Shellac, some other brand I am not familiar with. But she did not use a base coat. She attempted to up sell me gel, since I originally picked a OPI Hello Kitty regular polish, but I wanted to leave so badly so I said no. The place is small, even without many people there it was wicked crowded with pedi chairs and manicure tables. Besides my nail beds burning I felt so nervous, due to the fact I am claustrophobic and with trying to move around in there it was a main reason I wanted to leave so bad. My friend got a regular manicure and she said it was good, however it seemed she was with her manicurist for only 15 minutes, which a manicure should be a 30 minute service. It's cheaper than the place on the 3rd floor. $30 for a UV gel fill, $15.00 for a manicure. I don't think I will be back at this location anytime soon. read more

I would avoid this place. Workers were rude. There are many different places in North Attleboro that will do a higher quality job, act appropriately, and not make snarky, rude comments. I was hesitant when I saw the two star rating but ended up going anyways. Regret it big time. I am by far the pickiest person with my acrylics. Many nail techs glue my tips on crooked and then blame my nail bed, instead of making it straight by shaping it. DO NOT GO HERE!!! I had an awful experience. I've been going here for 4 years for every 3-4 months to get my eye brows waxed. The last time I went will easily be the last. I brought a friend who's in cosmetology and she said the tub of wax they use (since she came with me the second we went back about my eye brow burns) they sell at Sally's beauty salon for $7. The last time I went the lady severely pulled off a layer of skin under my eye brows in the top crease of my eyes. It did ooze a bit a few days after and scab up taking a total of 8ish days. I went to meet up with my friend who's a cosmetologist and her mouth dropped and she and I headed right back (mind you this was 20 minutes after I had them waxed and being probably my 30th time within my life it shouldn't have been nearly as inflamed as it was). As at times it was confusing to understand the staff I had told them to look at my eyes and under my eye brows. The first thing they did was try to play it off by "oo you're eyes sensitive". They brought me to the back and applied aloe - which she should have done right after she waxed my eyebrows. Thankfully they refunded me otherwise I would have had to seek a higher authority. Of course as you can imagine there were people there listening and looking and a few ladies getting their nails done wanted to see and couldn't believe what had happened. My cosmetologist friend said they're fortunate I don't want to pursue this in a case since it could scar. I've been coming here for a number of years but today was my last visit. I went in for a gel pedicure. The girl informed me that she had only been doing this for 3 weeks but hey, everyone starts somewhere, right? She seemed super sweet and was a really nice girl. She cleaned up my feet but didn't do a very good job. I still had tons of dead skin around my nails and they were completely uneven and jagged. So not off to a great start. This is the gross part: They have these big jars of salt/oil scrub that they use on your legs and feet. Instead of using a scoop to get it out of the jar, she reached right in with her gloved hand and then smeared it all over my legs. Yes, she just cleaned up my feet wearing those same gloves, reached into that big old jar and scooped it out. So I imagine I have some of the previous customer's dna spread all over my legs now. And boy, the next customer in that chair is in for a real treat when they get mine. Gag. But this the the worst part: she's now ready to start polishing. She drags out this banged up looking UV light since I requested gel. She tries plugging it in using an extension cord (mind you, the walkway for people to get out of the pedicure area had extension cords criss crossing so kind of a trip hazard) and the thing starts sparking and the lights dim for a second. So of course, now I'm on high alert but ok. Surely she'll get another light. Nope, they huddle up, get another cord and fire that baby up again from another wall plug and it starts throwing sparks. It smells like burnt hair or something and I am all about getting out of here alive today. (What do we say to the god of death? Not today. - for all you GoT fans) They all seemed shocked that I got up and said "I'm all set, I don't want this. I'll pay for what was done already but I...I....No, I don't want this." I was trying to be polite and quiet because I didn't want to make a scene. So I walked over to pay (honestly, they probably should have said ok, we scared this lady with sparks twice and didn't actually do a pedicure so maybe we can just comp this and hope she doesn't call the fire department on us) but nope. That would be weird on Opposite Day. Would you believe they tried to charge me for a full price pedicure even though they had just thrown fireballs at me? April Minsky, I go this salon to treat for my eye brown all the times for over 2 years, I suggested a young lady to talk with the owner. The owner is super nice, he will care for you, all of staffs/technicians are extremely good except the lady names Amanda, she is always talking with someone on the phone and careless about customers. I go to this salon weekly and this lady is new. Please do not go to her, if you tell the owner, he will fire this lady. I saw many technicians who was careless about customers then owner asked them to leave. I know this owner is trully a good person in customer service and care for all customers. He is being shot in the war zone, and care of what products that he should buy to treat customers like us. As far as I know, he always buy products made in US and care each customer. I usually go to Fancy Nails, but apparently they've closed and so I went to Nail Pro Plus since I was already in the mall. I went in for a manicure with gel polish, and the whole experience was really subpar. My nails were not nicely shaped, and were left with rough edges. Everything felt rushed. Then, I'm not sure if it was the gel polish, not leaving it under the lamp long enough between each coat, or if the lamps were past their prime.. but my nails were really tacky at the end. She told me this was normal and then wiped them down with alcohol which did remove the tackiness, but this was strange and something I haven't experienced before. Other places have always done longer cycles for curing than this place and I haven't had the tacky result. This all would have been fine, but this was Friday and by Monday my nails were starting to peel! Tuesday one gel nail peeled completely off and another by Wednesday. IF I had been able I would have went in and complained/had them fix it, but I couldn't get there on those days. By Friday (one week later) others had popped off and I just peeled the rest myself rather than the mix of painted and unpainted nails. Note, all of my fingers had the gel peel off in one piece and with no real effort whatsoever, this is much different from any other experience I've had and especially having had to dissolve off the gel at my next appointment on previous occasions when it was still so stuck on my nails! I'm convinced they messed up the curing process with too short of time under the lamp, or that the bulbs need serious replacing. Either way, I will NOT be going back. When I pay for this service, I expect ~2 weeks for growing out and peeling to really set in, not even 4 full days is completely ridiculous!!! read more

AWFUL!! I completely agree with the previous reviewer. The same exact thing happened to me. I went in for an eyebrow wax and they burned my skin and just claimed it was because of my "sensitive skin". My skin was burning and red for at least one day. It was the worst service and experience I've ever received at any salon. I have been here a few times because of the convenience, but this was certainly my last time. They do not care about their customers and will simply laugh in your face. Honestly, do not go here for anything.
