Colleen is simply the best pedicurist I've ever had in New England, Texas...anywhere. She knows what she's doing. She takes good technical care of my feet in the sense that she identifies problems and solves them. After a long, traumatic move cross-country, my feet were a mess, but she put them right in a single session. After trying a different salon, I ended up with issues which, again, she immediately set to solving when I returned. I won't stray again. She's pleasant and easy-going, and I leave with my feet looking good and in the best possible shape. If the massage were slightly longer and deeper, she'd be sheer perfection, but the rest--and her reasonable price + no annoying upsells--makes me grateful to have found her. read more

Let me start by saying that I've been to most nail salons in the area and most of them have the same qualities- long wait times, rushing you in and out the door, and not feeling like you're getting a one-on-one experience with your nail tech. Going into The Nail Room for the first time felt like a breath of fresh air. Coreen is so friendly and welcoming- she takes her time with your nails and goes the extra mile to give you exactly what you want. I went in there with old acrylics from a different salon and instead of just filling the gap, she gave me a brand new set and got rid of the old, brittle, cracking acrylics. Not once during the process did I feel like she was rushing. I showed her a design that I wanted and she was able to paint it on with ease. You can tell that she has years of experience and truly cares about the quality of nails her customer leaves with. Needless to say, I will be coming to The Nail Room for as long as it's open. Love Coreen! I have been twice, and will always go back. I would rather drive the 20 minutes to get a beautiful manicure than spend the money closer to home. I have had more compliments on my nails the 2 times she has done them, then all the times I went to the local places. Where do I even begin. I walked in and there were cats on the pedicure chair, needless to say I did not get a pedicure. First impression is everything and when I walked into her "shop" I was not impressed. It looked like a little kids closet. There were things every where it was dirty, disorganized... But I saw her pics on yelp and the great reviews and I said to myself give it a chance. Yeah wrong move. After she was done with my nails I thought it looked awesome... Until I noticed the next day that there was a gap between my nail and the acrylic, which is a breeding ground for bacteria. I called and emailed her and we kept missing each other so she can fix the problem. Well a week of trying I finally decided to have them removed. And the nail tech was like "who did your nails, are they an amateur" I just told them no comment. I just feel that Coreen should have offered me some or all of my money back because $56 for a full set is high and my nails where poorly done. For that price I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. I gave this home business a chance and it was a fail for me. I will not be back. read more
