Just moved to the area from Tampa Bay area where I went to a nail salon for 5 years for dip powder, pedicure and eyebrow. I was fortunate to have an upscale nail salon near my home there that provided first class services. I am happy enough with the service I got here but definitely not up to par with what I am accustomed to. Charges were different from the published price. My husband also gets a monthly pedi which every place I am aware of both in Northern Va where I also lived for 50 + years and Tampa Bay where we lived 5 + years priced basic pedicure that included removal of calluses it is $15 additional for this service there mot acceptable in my opinion. I believe my charges were also incorrect as a brow is listed at $10 pedicure basic $30 with callous removal $45 and dip color at $40. I was charged $133 and we gave a $26 tip as the service was acceptable. I had hoped this would be a place I could depend on for this service but that will not be the case. I will be trying other salons until I can find one that is comparable to what I expect. read more

Service was absolutely ridiculous, after being told multiple times by my friend and I what we wanted. she decided to do what she wanted to do then after me reiterating that's not what I want, she gets mad, pushed my foot, and rips off toe separators aggressively. Then everyone around her was getting loud and making remarks. No effort was given. Will not be back. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but my experience left me concerned about both the quality of the work and the lack of communication -- especially around pricing. We called ahead asking if they had availability and were told to come in. When we arrived, I was directed to the back... and then left standing there with no guidance. There didn't seem to be any communication between the front and the back, so I just stood awkwardly until someone eventually noticed me and pointed me to a seat. Throughout my visit I watched multiple customers standing around confused about where to go or who to check in with. A simple "we'll be right with you" or a quick instruction would make a huge difference. I was handed a book and told to pick a color. Only later did I learn that the colors in that book cost extra -- something no one mentioned up front. I had chosen the most basic pedicure and certainly wasn't expecting added charges just to choose a polish color. I also asked for polka dots on my toes (I came in with them, so it was clear what I wanted). The first time I asked, the nail tech just stared at me. After she finished the base color, I repeated the request, and she nodded... but then continued without doing them. By the time she was finishing up, I stopped her again to ask, and she still didn't do them. If staff members are unsure what a customer is asking for, someone should jump in and assist -- especially since multiple employees could hear me. My daughter asked for a full set. One tech started, then told her to sit and wait for someone else to finish. After my services were done, we sat at the front and watched two walk-ins (who openly said they had no appointment) get seated immediately, while my daughter continued waiting. After 15 minutes -- and already being there for over two hours -- she decided she would just go elsewhere. Only when we stood to pay were we told she'd be "next," but by then we'd had enough. To top it all off, one of my fresh nails cracked on the side before we even left, and my daughter's shaping (from the little that was done) looked uneven. Then I was charged extra for the polish color I didn't know carried an additional fee -- and I still didn't get the design I asked for. There are too many salons in the area to settle for inconsistent communication, surprise charges, and work that doesn't hold up. I hope they improve, but for now, we'll be going elsewhere. read more

Have used them for years. Wifey has been taken care of by Sam, Nancy or Kelly so many times. She loves the attention to detail and the lived reality that she has never experienced a nick or bite. I don't go as much as she does but my experiences are in line with hers. Never a difficult session. Sometimes we go together for mani-pedis. Do yourself a favor, make an appointment. If you don't you're likely to sit for a while before something opens up and you probably won't get the person you want. Even though they have male attendants, she and I prefer female staff. This is my first time leaving a review, but my experience here was so horrid I want to warn others. My fiancé dropped me off to get my nails done for Valentine's Day. I asked for a manicure but noticed they were extremely busy and didn't want to take up too much of their time so asked for just a regular polish change instead. The woman looked me in the eye and agreed. Half way through she asked me to pay before finishing my nails. I was confused why I was being charged 25$ for a simple polish change but figured the prices may be higher than other places. I decided to let it go. The woman proceeded to give me the sloppiest and rushed paint job, I could have done better myself. She didn't ask what shape I wanted or gave me time to pick out a color I liked. She clearly wanted me out of the place asap. I still was trying to be patient and understanding that it was a busy day for them. Afterward I was waiting for my nails to dry I was spoken to by an extremely rude young lady. She said "your nails won't dry if you keep texting", I smiled and said ok and not even a minute later she tells me to leave. I have never been treated so rudely by a worker before. I have worked customer service before and never would dare to give a customer such disrespect. I am not a confrontational person but after letting my fiancé know my experience he encouraged me to stand up for myself. I mustered up all my courage to explain my frustrations. I asked to see my receipt and was immediately talked down upon. They refused to accept their mistake and gaslit me saying I never changed my mind and said no manicure. The woman who tried to rush me out was the rudest though, while I was trying to have a private conversation with the nail tech that did my nails she butted in and raised her voice causing a scene. The entire store stared at me and I had never felt so humiliated. I had to ask my fiancé for help and they were a lot kinder to him but still only offered to give me back my tip. I left in tears and it ruined my day when it was supposed to be a fun outing for Valentine's Day. It wasn't just disrespectful, it felt like bullying. Here's what 30$ got me. She didn't even bother to clean up the nail polish on the sides so I had to do it myself. Absolutely horrified that anyone can be ok presenting this service. Disgusting and beyond disappointing. I've gone here a lot but they continue to get worse every time. EXTREMELY overpriced. I got a solid color fill and they charged me $48. Never in my life have I payed that much for a FILL. It's always $30... such a waste of money. My nails are sloppy and my cuticles are all cut up. There is also clumps of nail polish under my nails. The nails were done OK but that's not why I'm leaving a bad review I hate to do this and genuinely have never left a Yelp review anywhere, and have really liked my nails in the past I've gotten here and have even recommended people Nail Studio. Last night though, I guess I made the mistake of getting my eyebrows waxed there. I've been getting them waxed for probably about five years and have never had any issues (gone to so many different places, just never here before.) After the lady asking me multiple times if I'm sure I didn't want my upper lip waxed saying I really needed it (thanks!) she ripped a large part of my skin off of my brow bone that literally has not stopped bleeding after forty hours. She tried to say it seemed as though I had never done my eyebrows, and was making it seem like my fault my skin was sensitive when she literally ripped my skin off to the point I was in tears. I asked to see what they looked like at that point and she told me no because she was not done, and they were still think which is how I wanted them. I've always loved my thick brows and am so so sad I made the mistake of getting waxed here. I understand some severe or harsh irritation, but for me to me still bleeding and in pain two days after, something isn't right and I have never had an issue before. I'm also not on accutane or anything like that or a new medication or something that could be to blame. read more

DO NOT COME HERE. The staff was SO rude. My pedicure is splotchy and they didn't even apply a top coat. Then while I was getting my manicure, the employee stepped on my toes and scuffed the polish and didn't fix it! My French tips are sloppy. There is polish missing near the tip of my nails, the shape is uneven, and they cut me multiple times while filing. I could literally go on and on about how traumatic this experience was. Place was clean and some of the employees are friendly but the girl who did my manicure wasn't and didn't really take care of my cuticles as part of my shellac mani. Some of my nails already look like they've been growing out for a week from the cuticles and the polish on my thumb is very lumpy. Overall, they just don't look good. I told the employee that I wasn't happy with the cuticles and she just kept telling me my cuticles were too thick and she didn't want to fix them. She was an absolute doll~ She talked me through the whole process, made nice small talk to keep me engaged, discussed with me her opinions and helped me settle on a design I wanted. I'm astonished at the results~ They're far better than I was ever expecting and I'm absolutely coming back to this salon. Went today and asked to just have my dip soaked off because I had two nails that were broken off about halfway and they hadn't healed all the way yet so I didn't want to put polish back on yet. I was pressured multiple times to just let them put tips on. I was then pressured to get acrylic, which I have never gotten in my life and I didn't want acrylic, and they judged me hardcore for saying no to that too. So I agreed to let them redo my nails, and the lady proceeded to cut me and make me bleed twice on the same nail. It was one of the broken nails that I tried to tell them wasn't healed yet. Jessie did a wonderful job on my eyelash extensions! This was my first time and I was nervous about getting them but she explained the process and how they would feel and it put me more at ease. I like the way my nails look, the salon is welcoming, and they were quick to get me seated, but the customer service was not great. The first girl didn't speak to me not which was fine until she was tugging on my legs when I wasn't paying attention instead of just saying what she needed me to do. Then the second lady, Ann, who did my fingernails did not just focus on my nails but she stopped half way between to start someone else and got up to do something else. Also while she was filing my nails she cut my skin because he didn't pull my skin down after gluing down my acrylics. After I told her she cut me all she did was stick her own finger nail in it and wipe the blood away. Which in turned grossed me out so much because her nails had so much dirt under them and she just stuck it in my cut?! So I had an appt for 1130, they finally acknowledged me and started my pedicure at 1225. Typically a pedicure should be at least 30 mins, she was finished in 15. Rushed through, horrible massage, and didn't have the color I wanted so she chose a similar one herself. I then had to wait another 15 mins before they got started on my nails. I asked for pink and whites w/dark pink, they kept trying to tell me that it wouldn't look good, just so they didn't have to get up and get a different powder. They started to do my nails and they did hombre even though I showed and told her exactly what I wanted which was the traditional pink and white style. I was told this all they can do because that's what is normally done. Every person who works there is so rude and snobby, any little thing/request is such a problem for them. And I was charged $10 more than what there price list says, I was so fed up by the time I was finally done I just wanted to get out of there. So from getting there at 1130, waiting 55 mins and I walked out at 140. They had no sense of organization, scheduling, being able to tell who was to be helped first. Such a cluster! Yelp deleted my first pics of nails done except for toes. Not sure why, but I went back a second time and had the cat eye effect done. Love them. They are a bit thicker with the many layers and would probably look better on longer nails next time, but I'm having too much fun with these and received several compliments. read more
