I was hesitant to get my nails done at a mall salon in Yuba City, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, there were several red flags. When I walked in, they asked what I wanted, and I said I just wanted my natural nails polished. They directed me to sit in a chair near the back of the front desk. When the nail tech came over, I asked if I could get dip instead. She looked annoyed and said "OK," and the whole interaction felt awkward. It also seemed like she over-buffed my nails. When I get my nails done in Elk Grove, they always take their time--cuticles, shaping, the works--but that wasn't the case here. It was not any type of relaxing experience, no cuticle oil, no soaking, no hand massage, etc. No exaggeration - I sat down and was done within 15 minutes. I was actually shocked at how fast she was done, that's never happened to me before, even back in the day with $15 regular polish manicures. Also, the gel polish was chipped on day 4. Extremely unhygienic!!!! My gel manicure was finished under 15 minutes. The woman who did my nails was pushy and became extremely rude once she figured she wasn't getting a tip. After my nails were done soaking, I seen she emptied the bowl into the sink and then stuck it in a drawer on the side of the sink. The next person who came in sat down and another worker pulled the same dirty bowl out of the drawer filled it with water and put a few marbles in. Gel manicures are priced at 30.00 but I was charged 35.00. What was supposed to be a relaxing nail visit turned into a nasty unpleasant experience. read more

NO SANITATION: This place does not use individual nail files for each person. They do not use the one time use nail file or buffers. They re-use the same files for each client. I was shocked. They also do not physically clean the pedicure chair itself or manicure stations with any cleaning products between clients or even a basic wipe down. I actually wiped the chair myself since I watched the client before me get up and they asked me to sit. I did get a very very quick deluxe pedicure (22 minutes) and gel manicure (25 minutes). I paid extra for the nicer pedicure. I got a 45 second foot scrub on my right foot and 30 seconds on the left. I got a 3 min total leg massage for both legs. Waste of paying extra on a pedicure. Thank goodness there's a nail Salon open late! Van lee did my pedicure and she is such a sweetheart, paid attention to detail and how my nails weren't cut properly from service done elsewhere. She has a very gentle touch. And made sure to scrub my feet to her liking. read more

Got a pedicure done here and got french tips on my toes, he rushed through it and did a horrible job. The polish chipped as soon as I left. They also use MMA on your nails, which is super bad for you. Do research on it if you don't know what it is. It's illegal for them to use on clients yet they continue to do so. Horrible read more

This place is as dirty as they come. Got a pedicure here and as I say there I watched one of the nail techs wash their hand towels in the sink and place w fabric softener and place in towel warmer. Then one of the guys come in and must of been talking rude to her for the way she was folding them because she had to redo the folding of all of them and look like she was ready to cry. But he goes and washes his multiple coffee cups in the other pedicure sinks and didn't even re clean the tub out afterwards. When I moved over to get my nails filled the station areas was so dirty and they guy was pulling his tools out of a plastic bag instead of a sterilization clean container that shows me that the tools he is working on me w are actually clean. That's the problem w these places they are legally supplying be sterilizing their tools after each use and never using them twice but do. This is why ppl are getting fungus and diseases. So next time you go into this place or any other place make sure they pull out sterile tools. And you see that the bag is fresh. If not turn them in. It is a requirement. If you go to the nicer places you will see them do it by the book and no how it is supposed to be done. You can't cut corners because you want to save money and charge people more. I decided to get a gel polish manicure and since my cuticles were fine it was technically a polish change. The person who did my nails said $15 and then the manager charged another price. Since I didn't tip the girl (nails weren't great) she probably added that in. I told her the price the nail person told me and she shrugged her shoulders and repeated the price she charged me first. Rude manager, poor customer service and to top it off they are not sanitary! The girl doing my nails use instruments and then sealed them back into a "clean pouch" so disgusting! The owner is absolutely rude, her husband does a sloppy job and when they make an error they make you feel uncomfortable and take every walk in customer before you even though you were waiting there first.
