I was out running errands and I was in desperate need og a manicure. It was a Monday and many nail salons that I am familiar with are closed upon a search I found that I was a short distance away from Nail Tek and they were open! I called to make sure they had availability for a mani/ pedi and the woman told me to come on in. I walk in less than 10 minutes later and the same woman immediately asks if I called a few minutes ago. She remained in her seat watching videos on a tablet, but did say something to a gentleman working and he told me to sit in the last chair. I assumed she told him the services I was interested in. He started my pedicure in luke warm water, the "hot" towels used were not in the warmer which was right next to my chair instead he took dry towels ran then under warm water in the sink and used those. Once finished he went to the sink and started prepping towels to put in the warmer. After about 5 minutes I ask if he will also be the one to do my manicure. With a bit of an attitude he said he didn't know I was getting a manicure too, but that he would do it. I asked for gel polish and my manicure looked VERY nice for one day. After that the gel started bubbling and peeling. Unfortunately I don't have any pictures but I definitely wont be going back. Let me also add that the woman continued watching videos loudly on her tablet and taking phone calls. This was not a great experience but they are open on Mondays. read more

I visited this salon for the 1st time for a toe nail polish change. Normally it would run me $15 w/ gel polish at my usual nail salon; however, I was in a hurry & it was close to Hobby Lobby, my final destination. This husband/wife team gouged me for $30 for toe nail gel polish with no remorse. No price list listed for polish change only, just pedicure services. A normal pedicure was only $38, so a good/honest proprietor would have suggested this service instead of charging me $30 for nail polish only. I will never go back there & warning you to beware, not patronize this salon with blatant unsavory practices. I now understand why the shop was totally empty @ 12N on a Thursday. read more

This was worst experience. I'm visiting from out of town and came in for a fill-in. none of my nails look the same; They all look terrible. The gel was peeling off before I even got up from the chair. The nail tech wanted to argue when I was basically asking her to clean up her work. My nails aren't presentable and are all different sizes. I do not recommend. read more

I've been before and was obviously satisfied enough that I came back, but I won't again. The tech was rough on my pedicure, I have several cuts/nicks on my nail bed and she used an electric buffer WTF. Why? I asked if that was necessary and she said yes for a smooth surface. I've never had this done before and did not like it. Let me just say, I am very cautious at shops because of a prior infection. Even after I said something, she used this buffer and nicked me! Moving on to my manicure, again with the electric filer to remove the gel. I don't like this method and the last time i went they soaked my fell off. I have natural nails, no overlay and the electric filer/buffer does not feel good and I'm positive it causes damage to your nail bed. Gel off, she begins the paint job. Needless to say, she needs more practice. I'm uncertain as to why she was rushing since there wasn't a wait, but she was and the paint job is sloppy, very juvenille looking. I got a pedicure on Thursday and my pinky toe gel came off Friday night I came in and asked if I can get it fixed I didn't even care if I had to pay for it there were only 3 people in the salon and sh said she was busy appointment only . Right now the salon is fairly clean but in saying that, it won't be long before it will start looking like the rest of the dirty salons. I don't feel this salon is following Sanitation regulations. The staff is very unfriendly!!! The nail tech at the first table when you walk in does not do a good job at all. When I'm forced to sit at her table I know I'm wasting my money. She leaves my nails with bumps and waves on the nail beds. She also thinks she is to good to give a pedicure that I have noticed. The gal that gives the pedicures is good but not thorough with her work but very talkative. Out of the two men that work there, the younger is probably the best tech they have. Finding a nail technician that can lay it down in Indianpolis is like trying to find a short check out line at Wal-mart. It's possible, and when it happens the clouds open up and angels sing your name. This may become my new favorite top secret location. Girrrrrrrrrl, I love Art Nail (No I don't I'm lying, I can hardly stand forcing myself to crawl in there) the one on 38th street. They do a decent job with my toes, and are possibly the most inexpensive place in town outside of the place on Keystone. However, you sometimes pay for you what you get... So paying a few more dollars at Nail Tek didn't bother me at all. Art Nail has the tendency to fudge the prices as they please, like one time I came in with 30 minutes left to close and they charged me ten more dollars after doing my nails. *See my Art Nail review* However, the prices here are clearly typed out and in just about every area you can look to. The salon is squeeky clean and I applaud that! The chairs and tables are comfortable, and the massage chairs look heavenly. The thing I really really love about this little gem is the fact that they offer A TON of services! This may not sound like much, however for it to not be a full service salon you can get: Your eyebrows tatttooed, nails did, toes done, gel, acrylic, full sets, and even tattoo removal. WOW. They literally do just about everything. The technicians are absolutley pleasant. Very quiet and fast with what they do. The woman I saw (at table 4) told me about her son and wonderful fiance, all while doing an amazing job on my nails. I think my only gripe is that they are a little too short/thick (acrylic) other than that I am in love. I may have found the jewel of the nile here, go, hurry..and prepared to be impressed!! Well it's my daughter's birthday gift and the lady did her nails and feet both are in bad shape worse now then when she walked in nail Tek doors and they said they will not fix and your spending your money to be treated like this and they know they did a bad job so not fair polish not right nails paper thin bad shape and charged different prices then what's on the window no respect for people that's helping you keep your business going if this isn't resolved I will be reporting them I do not recommend this place, HORRIBLE and did not try to fix!!!! read more

I had been here maybe 6 months prior and they did a good job. However this time they were friendly but this has got to be the worst fill I've ever gotten. This time I had terrible service from an older gentleman who coughed on me several times. He proceeded to give me the worst paint job I've ever received. I have used Nails Tek many times and was pleased. I always had Angel. She was great. Nails we're always perfect. On June 27 I went for a mail appointment. Angel no longer worked there so I went ahead with the lady that was working. I had an appointment at 4. I didn't get waited on until 4:30. The technician was on a personal call the whole time she was attending to the client. When it was my turn she was still on the personal call on speaker. They were very loud and remained on the phone after I was finished. Never once did the technician ask what length I wanted my nails. Never attended to my cuticles. It was a very sloppy nail job. I went on vacation d was very upset with how my nails looked . I was charged $50. I will never go back. Very rude and inconsiderate of a client. read more

This is my go-to pedicure spot. They're always very friendly and never make me feel bad about the state of my toenails, which grow all sorts of weird from my years as a competitive runner. They rarely have any significant waits when I go in the mornings. It's always clean, and they pull the tools out of sanitation bags. They do the best job I've ever had as far as shaping my weird toenails without causing ingrowns. The massage chairs are really nice and actually knead and relax (though I will warn you, there's this strange Butt massager that more or less gooses you, so I'd recommend turning that part off.) The pricing is fair, so I always tip generously. read more

This is an amazing salon, different services available, such as microblading, permanent make-up, laser removal, and all types of waxing services, including mani/pedis. Did I forget they offer lashes too. Best to come during the week though, that's what the staff told me. I have been here many times and go out of my to visit this place. Not sanitary... they're offended when u ask them to correct something... because it's not the way you like it to be done. They charged 70.00 for a mani & pedi w/gel polish. Which I don't have a problem paying and will tip good if I'm leaving a happy customer. Piss poor at removing the dead skin around the cuticles & poor paint job!! No star here. read more

The elderly white gentleman left and was charged $25. When I went to pay the bill was higher than it should be so I asked. She said oh men pedicures are $5/a piece. I asked why you didn't charge the elderly gentleman the same she became frustrated and said I will take it off then. I said no thank you I just feel that you should make people aware that you will be charging them prices that are not listed as well as if your going to charge people differently although they got the same service. She began to speak to her co-workers which they all laughed slightly. The work they do is really good but the fact is if your charging more due to my race then your racist. My service was horrible, I had to argue with the tech to get my nails clipped to the length I preferred. Finally another tech took over my pedicure. I received the quickest pedicure I have ever received, I am still getting dead skin off of my feet. I was there on Saturday and my polish is already chipping off. I now understand why there were so many empty chairs and no wait on Saturday afternoon. I advise anyone thinking of trying this place to think twice. read more

I only went here because they were open on a Sunday and my nail shop that I typically go to isn't. I wanted a full set and a pedicure and I asked them how long the wait was. She told me there was no way that they could go ahead and start on my pedicure, which they did. He started on my feet as the water was filling up my feet did not get to soak what so ever he just immediately started without letting me relax at all. The next person to get a pedicure they had her feet soaking the entire time I was getting mine before they started on hers. So I don't know what that was about. Then they move me over to a chair to get my nails done and I'm sitting there for about 10 minutes and not one person said anything to me or came over. Now, I'm not usually one to complain or write a review but the service I received yesterday on my full set coffin shaped nails is completely AWFUL. I went later in the evening but yet they welcomed me and my daughter in for their services. The lady that did my pedicure was awesome, she was very friendly and did a good job. However, the lady that did my full set did a horrible rush job. When I say these nails are all different shapes and sizes, the paint job is horrible.. and there is no way she should consider them a coffin shape which I spent $5 more for.. I didn't know they were this bad until I got home and man I have never been so disappointed. I don't recommend anyone to spend their hard earned money here!
