He is autistic and nonverbal, and sensory experiences can be very challenging for him. The technician was absolutely incredible. She was so gentle, patient, and intuitive. Before doing anything, she would show him first: she put lotion on her own arm and let him touch it, then slowly introduced it to him. She tested the temperature of the warm towel on his wrist so he could feel it safely before wrapping his legs with it. She narrated each step in such a calm and reassuring way. She never rushed him and followed his comfort level the entire time. Because of her approach, he was able to stay calm and relaxed throughout the experience, which is a huge milestone for us. I am beyond grateful for her kindness and professionalism. This meant so much to me as a parent. We will definitely be coming back! read more

I wanted to love this place because of all the reviews I read before going, but unfortunately I had a different experience. Upon entering I was rushed in to sit in a chair for my pedicure. There was an older woman that went between speaking to me and another worker in her native language to the point where I thought it would be the person she was talking to doing my nails. It was not. I sat in the chair and she didn't make conversation with me at all. She only spoke to the other workers and ordered them around when someone came in. This would have been an issue if my service had been done right. I asked for the basic gel pedicure. Clipping my toenails she got too far and clipped some skin and I said OW and yanked my foot back and later on she did it to the other side as well. She wasn't too apologetic and kept working. She went to clip around my toe nails to trim any dead skin and pulled off too much to the point where after I left the salon and looked down my toe was bleeding a bit. What really is the cherry on top for me was that the same night my paint on my pinky toe is coming off. It lasted about 6 hours... I'll not be coming here anymore because for $68 I would like for my pedicures to stay on and didn't appreciate the roughness on my feet. I made an appointment the morning of with one of the staff members online. When I arrived at my appointment time, said staff member was not present yet. I was told I could wait for them or I could start with the staff member who was there, so I decided on the latter and I'm so glad I did! Lexy was there this morning and did my nails for me. She is so kind, very helpful in the process of choosing my colors and what I wanted to do. She was accommodating and professional. We went with this blue and glitter combo and I'm so happy with the result! Even better than that was Lexy's desire to make sure I was happy each step of the way. The glitter polish was being finicky and I wondered how she would handle it. Lexy noticed the issues, kept working with it, and got my nails to a place that we both liked. THIS REVIEW IS ONLY 5 STARS BECAUSE OF JEANNIE! I came here because I saw WanderingWestfield promoting this place. I had booked my mani/pedi with Jeannie specifically. When I got there today, there were no other customers and they gave me a tech for my mani and Jeannie for my pedi. I wanted a small heart design for my finger (shown in the picture) and my mani technician refused saying it would take regular polish too long to dry and she can only do designs with non-regular polish services. Jeannie tried to advocate for me saying it's a really small heart and she still refused. My mani was started after my pedi had started (yes, it was done at the same time) and she was done way before. When Jeannie was done with my pedicure, she took it upon herself to draw the heart for me. It literally took her just a few seconds for each heart. I would probably only come back if my service was with Jeannie. I would highly recommend Jeannie. read more

At the end of the day, a nail experience is about the quality of your nails and how long they last. MK nails delivers this. I have tried many salons in the area and for some reason I have an issue with dip cracking and chipping within one week of getting my nails done (may or may not have to do with my lab job *side eye*). MK nails always sends me out with a strong manicure and a relaxing pedicure. Even when things got hectic this past weekend, the employees who were there seemed to have some good damage control! I think was first experience with the manicure here was just OK . After reading reviews I had requested an appointment with a certain technician . I arrived on time for my appointment but was told the technician I had asked for couldn't make it . Another technician offered to fill in and I was ok with it . I only wanted to get a basic manicure. I felt it was a little rushed and the quality of work was not as great . There was no attention to detail unfortunately . After my nails had dried I realized the top coat did not align with the polish and it looks visibly uneven . :( I'm not sure the quality of other services as it was my first experience . The technician was a nice and the overall vibe of the place also seemed nice and clean . Overall I would say if you want a service that is quick or just want to get basic nails done you could try this place . If you're looking to get your nails done for an event I'd recommend doing some research about the services and technicians . read more

Tried calling at 12:30pm to see if they had any appointments. No one picked up so we decided to walk in around 2:30 to see if they could take two pedicure walk ins. They said they could, but someone that had just called in about pedicures was first... I had my feet soaking for about 30 minutes before they got to me, and I swear the pedicure took 15 minutes. The person I came with on the other hand, her pedicure has taken an hour and half. Her pedicure started before mine did. And has gone on 30+ minutes past when mine finished. They talk poorly to their staff in front of the customers. It's just not a relaxing place. My toes came out nice though so that's worth a star. I only came here because Wandering Westfield prompted them. They're new so maybe they need more time? read more

Jay does fantastic work. He takes his time and always provides a quality service he is proud of. If it was only a rating for him, I'd give 5 stars. However, I've had a couple other technicians and received sloppy or rushed manicures that are far too expensive for the quality I received. Additionally, more than once the person I made an appointment to see wasn't there and I was assigned to someone else. It is a clean salon with trendy colors and everyone is nice, but I expect consistent quality for how expensive it is. read more

If I could I'd give this place 0 stars. I can only speak on experience from the people who have done my nails (as some of the nail techs seem nice and good, the ones I have just weren't). I left a review a couple months ago about a bad experience. Well I got my nails done else where since and needed just a take off. Mk nails were near by and the only place accepting walk in so I decided to go. Mind you this was just a take off. No manicure, polish or anything just take off. They were nice when I got there. Had to wait a while but I was a walk in so I didn't care too much. My nails were damaged from previous set so not their fault. The lady, Miley began to work on my nails and seemed very genuine about helping me with my damaged nails, very gentle with my take off. She began to explain that she wants to take care of me, help me get my nails better, etc. even offered a set free! Free?!? That's unheard of. Then while talking she brought her phone to me and started whispering (showing me my bad review I left) she stated. "When you write something like this it affects everyone in here, and we want to help you take it down". You know I thought, they genuinely care about their business. No, she just wanted the review taken down. I told her I would be open to her trying to do my nails again, once they healed. She just kept basically begging and begging for me to come back in. She did great with the take off but put something on my nails that in the moment burned a little. A day later my nails were in so much pain, bleeding, and my nails were breaking in half. (See pic below) extremely worse than before I came in. I called to ask what it was and she said it was "a strengthener to help my nails". For one, it would've been nice to know what is going on my nails before using an unlabeled bottle of something I don't know. My fingers were swollen and hurt so bad. I told her I would not take down my review and wont be coming back and she called my phone 3 times and texted 3 times. These people just care about their reviews not the service. I don't know where these other girls on the reviews are getting their nails done or who is doing them but it's not the people I've had do mine. I just hope they learn of this and no one gets experiences like mine. read more

I would not recommend this nail salon. The gel polish on my manicure was not close to the cuticle and too thick. I did not like the way he filed my nails and he couldn't speak English which made it hard to communicate. When he started my pedicure he spoke to the owner and she asked me if I wanted regular polish or gel on my toes. I had already told her regular when I checked in and she said ok he has it right. He did not. Took me forever to get it off my toenails. The place wasn't very clean and had a small selection of color. The first color I chose they did not have. read more
