I'm from California where regular pedicures are a way of life. This place is simply AMAZING! I had Vinny and he used was very meticulous when cutting and filing my nails. His massage was firm and felt like heaven and he was very personable. My husband received his from Vy. While she didn't speak much, she gave him a really long massage! I think she did this so he wouldn't be sitting around waiting for me to finish (I always take longer). Definitely a must if you appreciate a good massage. read more

I have been getting my nails done at Nail Toepia for a few years now. I wear acrylic Pink and White and Trish does a great job getting them the way I like them. I occasionally get pedicures and they are also well done. The staff is friendly and does all they can to meet the needs of clients. During this difficult time of the Covid Pandemic, I have appreciated the smart steps they have taken to reduce the number of clients to allow for enough distance between guests, the sanitation measures, and the expectation that both staff and clients must wear a face mask. Not going back! Had appointments for 4 pedicures at once and we all got seated promptly. My sister's was finished before anyone came to start on mine, and the water was filled and cold, never was asked if temperature ok. My niece had 2 different people, 1 person started her pedicure then left and a second person finished hers. Neither said anything to her. When they started my pedicure my chosen polish had been removed from the cart; had to have my daughter go and find alternative as the color I had chosen was gone, saw it in hand of other client. My sister was not handed her change, the hostess just took the change($5), and gave it to the nail technician. Never said a thing to my sister. Cute and calm atmosphere but terrible manicures. Hands down, the worst manicure I've ever had. I asked for just a file, as my nails were at a great length - instead I got uneven, crooked nails. They all use very large, coarse nail files that can't possibly allow precision. The gel color is also uneven and inconsistent - she was very rushed. When the technician asked if I liked my nails, I told her that I was upset with the color, shape, and length. She replied by telling me my nails weren't that long to begin with then ended my manicure without a massage while my arms were covered in lotion - I had to rinse my arms off at the sink. Completely rude. Paid for Deluxe pedicure "extra attention to calluses," and he said it wouldn't work on my feet. I thought that was strange, as other places do it. I have a latex allergy. I asked them several times if their gloves were latex. They ignored me as they did not have any non latex gloves available. Finally, the guy became angry and ripped his gloves off. You could tell they were "shit talking." I was made to feel very uncomfortable from their rude behaviors, laughing and actions. I am on my feet pounding the pavement at my job daily. I wanted to give my nails a break before my next gel pedicure. I have calluses th get worse in the summertime and this I was just looking for a good pedicure without polish. No lotions/scrubs etc. kids pedi are outrageous too and polish came off the same Update: the manager contacted me and gave me a refund for my visit. We lost access to quality nail services when Nailtopia came to the Flathead Valley. When they fist got here, they were cheap, decent and available which forced a lot of the nail ladies to quit because competing was hard. Now they are ridiculously over-priced, rude, entitled and have lost all attention to detail. I just walked out after grimmacing through a pedicure where he used a dirty pumice stone, paid absolutely no attention to detail and left every bit of dead skin on feet, but I still felt too rude saying anything. Then sat for my manicure where he hacked at me for a second, left a bloody gash, old polish, cut cuticles before even 30 second soak and didn't even clean under the nails. That's when I realized politeness can cause fungus and crappy nails. I can't remember ever walking out mid-treatment. I cannot believe this is what we now have for nail services in the area. I paid for the latest pedicure ever, and will regret every penny. Sadly, since the influx is all owned by one or two people, there is no other option. Nail Toepia is what Kalispell needed. Yes there are other nail salons in town, but this one provides a warm, comfortable, relaxing atmosphere and the top of the line massage chairs work perfectly. The decor really adds to the experience! There is no noisy TV, but instead, soft music. I appreciate that it does not wreak of chemicals! The great ventilation prevents headaches. I always get the gel polish and it will last months. As an outdoorsy person, I am often very harsh on my feet. This is the only salon that will do the job right (not just nails, but the surrounding skin and heels). Also, confession: I am a fingernail biter. When Trish uses gel polish, it keeps me from continuing this bad habit and helps make them stronger. I personally like the matte finish. Trish and Troy (the owners) are professional business entrepreneurs who possess excellent business ethics and most importantly, treat their customers like royalty. read more

When I arrived, I told the tech that i would like an ombre set of gels. She said she can do ombre, but she is only able to do pink fading into white. No other colors. This took me by surprise, but I settled. I wanted to make sure she knew I was getting gel nails. She responded with "no. We don't do gel nails here. Only acrylic." Well, that is definitely something I would expect to be told when I was making the appointment for GEL nails. At this point, I'm pretty disappointed. I'm a gel girl. Always have been. I don't like acrylics. If that's all they do, that is perfectly fine, but I felt as though I was deceived simply to gain my business. So she starts on my nails, and really does a decent job, for the most part. But i asked for coffin nails, and theyre definitely not coffin. Theyre square. So, this entire experience has been a disappointment, but I keep trying to be positive. Once the ombre is done, I ask her if she can put some jewels on my nails, and I show her a picture of the shape I want them in. She does it, but didn't even allow me to pick them out. She puts them on and are way to big for what I was going for. Then I asked her for two vertical lines painted on the pinkies and showed her a picture of what I meant. She proceeds to paint them, and for some reason, they were not vertical lines, itsa giant V on my nails. But I'm still trying to smile through it. She also warns me that it would cost extra for jewels. So, as expected, I was charged for the bunch of jewels I got on my ring finger. Though I was shocked to find out she was charging me for more jewels when I asked for ONE little jewel on each pinky. (Especially when I've never even heard of extra charge for gems.) I was done, and just wanted to pay and be done with this entire experience. my nails cost me 90 DOLLARS! this is absurd! $75 because I got ombre. (I've never been charged extra for ombre.)$15 for the gems. (I have never paid extra for gems either.) I have never ever had to pay over 50 dollars for a full set. And I usually have very extravagant nails. So I paid 90 dollars for nails that I didn't even want in the first place. Cant forget; (I will post a pic.) My thumb nails are completely different sizes.the cherry on top is when I was done paying, I went to go check on my friend, who was also getting ombre. Like me, she was told they could only do pink to white ombre. The guy doing her nails busts out a bunch of other colors and she gets to pick a different one! She gets teal ombre after I just paid an OUTRAGEOUS amount of $ for pink to white ombre, because that's "the only colors they have"! I couldn't believe it. don't get me wrong. My nails are not ugly. They're just not me. I think the woman who did my nails is talented, and does great work. For acrylics, they are durable, and smooth. But she was rude the entire time, didn't give me the option to have anything done that I would like, and took complete advantage of me. And by the looks of the reviews (and the responses to the reviews), the owner isn't going to do much to fix this. Which is pretty unfortunate, because despite this entire mess, like I said, I do think the nails are nice. And the man who did my friends nails seems to be a really sweet guy, and also very talented. I would have liked to come back and try again, simply because of the quality. But I don't see any corrective action taking place, after seeing the owners response to all of the poor reviews. A word of advice to the owner... You will gain MORE business, even with bad reviews, if you respond with remorse, and corrective measures to make up for whatever has happened. (Even if you disagree with the reviews.) This is definitely the worst experience I've ever had with my nails. I am sorry for the bad review. Despite everything, I still feel bad that I have to write this. But I'm writing it because I am really hoping nail topia will make the decision to make things right. Stopped in for a gel mani. When I sat down at the table for my nails to be done I noticed that the tools sitting out looked like they had already been used and not freshly cleaned, as they should always be cleaned in between every use. I asked if they were clean and the gentleman doing my nails said that they are and pulled out a box from his table, showed me tools. He didn't use the clean tools on my nails, he put them back and used the ones sitting on the table. The nail file had residue left on it from another customer, when I asked about the nail file and cuticle clippers looking like they had been used and still had nail residue on them a woman named Tara, which I don't think is her real name, told me they put the nail files in the autoclave and clean them. Can you even clean a nail file and sanitize it if there are nail filings still left on it?? I asked why my tools still had something on them and she said if I didn't like I could leave, incredibly rude and poor customer service. The gentleman doing my nails was nicer and tried to explain that they cannot replace the files in between each customer because they are too expensive but yet they charge $40 for a 20 min gel manicure which is A LOT compared to most places!! I said that they charge more money here than in bigger cities and other places replace the files in between every customer. Tara proceeded to give me dirty looks for asking questions. I decided to have my nails done anyway since I was there, they turned out ok but not worth $40... I was nice and tipped even though I was concerned about their cleanliness practices. Only 1 star due to very poor customer service and Tara's response, if that's even her real name. I guess customers are not allowed to ask for clean tools or nail files that have not already been used. Tara continued to give me dirty looks all the way out of the door, sad when she puts more energy into being rude and childish than being professional. I DO NOT RECOMMEND going here, save your money and go to a real salon that will make it worth the stop and the expensive prices. No one needs to be treated disrespectfully especially when they are paying for a service, without customers they wouldn't be in business. Did not see any instruments coming from sterile packages. Hot towels were obtained by technician putting hot water on towel in a sink that contained used implements. Cleaning of foot bowls consisted of spraying a cleaning fluid on bowl and spraying it with water. Very warm inside shop. No ventilation and the fumes were overwhelming. I wont return here. This nail salon has horrible customer service and is all about collecting that money. I went in unsure of a color for my nails so the lady picked for me. She choose a pink sparkle and I let her know that I wasn't really into it but she continued to put it on. I let her know again that I didn't like it and wanted another color. She told me she would have to charge me to remove them and then for another set... walked away with $55 less (because of course she choose sparkle which is additional $) and princess pink sparkle nails.. wasn't going to spend a total of $100 on a just alright nail job. A month before the pink princess nails... My mom went in for a pedicure appointment and waited 30 minutes. The lady apologized and said she will give her "special treatment". That "special treatment" ended up costing my mom a lot more money because the lady charged her for a gel pedicure. My mom didn't even know what gel was.. $72 dollars later. Looking for a relaxing mani pedi afternoon? DO NOT COME HERE! The staff is so rude and rushed. They made me feel like a nuisance for giving them my business. The massage (which is the best part, let's be honest) was aggressive and literally maybe 20 seconds long. Not relaxing at all! I asked my manicurist to touch up one nail because the file job was uneven. She was annoyed and made it seem like the end of the world that I could ask for such a thing.
