I decided to get my nails done here for fun but my experience was quite the opposite. I asked for SNS dip in white and instead got horribly chunky globs on my nails. Upon paying I didn't particularly like my nails but I decided to give it time thinking they would grow on me. Spoiler alert: they did not. The more and more I look at them the worse and worse they seem and the more I notice what a shoddy job was done on these nails. There is nail polish all over my hands and the edges of my nails are not at all cleaned up. My entire nail isn't even covered in the dip! I tried giving my nail tech the benefit of doubt. After all, I understand SNS dip nails can be harder than just normal or gel polish. However, I paid $40 for these! I would've been better off painting my nails myself but that is not what I came to a salon to do. The worst part is I tried calling the salon multiple times to see if there is something they could do about it-- maybe even just a partial refund-- but they won't even pick up my call! I wanted to get my nails done as a relaxing reward but these are just plain upsetting and spoiled my day. read more

Nail Trix in the Christiansburg Mall...don't do it! It's dirty, the nail techs are rude as hell especially the guy. Simply stated that the white wasn't quite white enough on one of my nails to which he VERY rudely said, I'm not done...I did not know he wasn't done as I had never been there before and didn't know their system of doing thing so I replied with, well ok then, with the same amount of rudeness and it escalated from there lol. Anyone who knows me knows that as soon as someone catches attitude with me, my attitude comes out full force. Never again lol or I will end up in jail. I'm torn on this review. The gel manicures I've gotten are excellent. The polish is beautiful and lasts for weeks and the shape of my nails is perfect. The lady who does the waxing does a great job on my eyebrows. I like for them to be cleaned up but not scary pencil thin and they are perfect each time. But. When I go in the store sometimes, it's abundantly clear that they don't want me to be there. As a customer, I hate to feel like a burden to the people providing the service. I sat in the salon to wait for a soak off. The customer service is so bad that I called every nail place in the vicinity trying to get a soak off before them. I had been talking with my headphones prior to the incident so I asked him "did you hear me" because he didn't acknowledge tht I was talking to him . I usually go to nail salons back home but since I'm in college I wanted to get a gel fill-in for the time being. My nail tech was Blake and he was basically rude to me the entire time. I understand people have bad days, but he didn't even greet me. I wanted to see if this salon offered chrome nails and he told me I had to go on his Instagram page. I didn't have phone service at the time to even go on his Instagram, so I had to settle for a regular polish. I can tell that this salon was busy and short staffed, but the service I received made me wish I went elsewhere... They do amazing work on my nails. I have always been hard on my hands and every time I go into this lovely family owned business they make my hands look beautiful again. My sister gets her nails done there every two weeks and they always look gorgeous. They can do any design from pearls to Super Hero. The salon is also beautiful and wait times are usually short. I had a wonderful experience at Nail Trix and love the work Blake did on my nails. Blake's dad did my pedicure and was very attentive, asking about the water temperature and setting the chair's massage function for me. I showed Blake a picture of what I had in mind for an upcoming vacation. His work is prettier than the picture. He was fun to talk with during the manicure and I thoroughly enjoyed the entire process. I cannot remember being this excited about how my nails look ! New to the area and looking for a regular nail shop as I get a mani/pedi weekly and my eyebrows waxed came here last week without an issue this week was another story. I always bring my own base coat and polish but asked for a matte top coat wasn't until AFTER that she said it was $3 extra. It's not a big deal but I would of preferred to be told before the service. Then she demanded I pay in the middle drying my nails as if I was gonna leave. where am I going to go we are in a mall! I will say that I am in sweat pants due to just getting out of class but still I am just getting my nails done. My eyebrows came out OK. I will not be back but might have to due to the convince. I think there are reasons for the mixed reviews. The staff here didn't make an effort. They were not polite or friendly, which is pretty important in a customer service sort of place. The salon needs a good scrubbing and to show customers you sanitize the tools. How hard is it to greet a customer and ask how they want their nails done? No one expects chatting and being friends. But respect and showing the customer you want their business would be nice. The only reason this place is busy is because they are in this little mall. I was visiting Christiansburg and needed a gel fill. This seemed to be the only place in town, maybe I just didn't look hard enough. The wait was long, and the service was rushed. The nail tech cut my nails back so far they barely reached the ends of my fingers. I am only giving the one star because the store looked nice and decently clean... the rest of the experience was horrible. My friend and I went there and both had terrible experience from the two male techs. My nail tech NEVER even spoke to me, never asked how short, what shape or color I wanted. He did grab my hand and shove it under the uv light, at which point I got very upset. My gel polish has started peeling off just the next day... my friends nails are horribly done... she got a new set and oh my gosh, they look like a two year old put them on, lumpy, bumpy and polish all over cuticles. We paid 45 each for horrible nails and even worse service. We were the only ones there and they seemed mad that we had even come in... strange. Went as a "walk-in" to this salon with my college-age daughter for pedicures. Not only did our nail technician make us feel uncomfortable, the actual pedicure was the worst I have ever had. The woman who did my nails gave off the feeling that she really hated her job. She talked in her native language to the nail technician next to her the entire time, using glances and head gestures that made both my daughter and I feel as though she was talking about us unfavorably. During the entire experience she did not speak one word to me. In fact, I did not realize that she even spoke English until it was time for us to pay. All the nail techs have multiple facial piercings (ie lip, eyebrow, tongue, etc) which give the place a kind of ghetto feel. And . . . the actual nail job was really poor. She did not clean up the multiple places where polish ran onto my skin and she did not put on a clear coat. I had to ask specifically for the clear coat. read more

Can you give this place 0 stars?????????? They refused service on me and let me explain WHY. I walked in with my family, told them what we needed ( shellac and one pedicure) I was told to go sit down in the front and pick our colors out. After several minutes of looking around, my suspicions got the best of me. There were a few people lingering around in the back and I walked by the nail chairs to check our the cleanliness of them. She asked me what I was doing and why I wasn't sitting down (not a child here lady, just walked by) and asked if they had a sanitation log. Several more minutes go by and out storms from the back a SQUAD of people and a very rude guy with a silver MO-hawk and informs me I need to leave immediately because I was making everyone in the building uncomfortable. I wish I had read the reviews before going. The young lady was having a bad day and one could observe immediately. Two children and a separation would be the reason. My toes were smudged before I left. I repaired those myself before I walked barefoot to the hair salon nearby. Once there, I found the thumbs were smudged. When I returned back to the nail salon, this young lady gave the problem to another young lady. She repainted and I left saying I would be careful. Two days later, eight nails have no polish on them. okay y'all, i'm normally not one to EVER bash a business or be rude but this is a story y'all wanna hear! so i go to Nail Trix in the mall and make appointments with Blake Le. he always does AMAZING work! so made an appointment with him last wednesday for last friday to get the first picture done, which he replied "that's perfect". so i get there friday and a lady tells me he's all booked up but she could do a simple design. i said okay black with ombré. she did that, just the ombré wasn't even ombré and she put a matte finish on it which i didn't even ask for! AND THEN, to top it all off..charges me 10$ more making it 56 i don't have a picture of it though. so then the NEXT day one pops off and i messaged him the first screenshot, NICELY, explaining my problem and how i feel about it. so he lets me come in and he fixes the nail that popped off and put a gel coat over it because i didn't like the matt and did it with no charge! i told him how much i appreciated it and he was super nice about it! so then two days later aka today, i text him letting him know 2 others had popped off and he replied in the next screenshot, so i told him i'd rather them just be removed since they're clearly not gonna hold up so i go in and the girl that normally starts my nails started and i explained he said no charge and she said that was fine so then after removing and clipping what she could she had my put hands in fingernail polish remover meanwhile she left so then the girl that messed them up in the first place comes over! i could already feel the annoyance about to come. so she finishes them and tells me it'd 10.00$ so i'm explaining to her and showing her the messages where he said NO CHARGE and she YELLS at me in front of the whole salon REPEATEDLY telling me i was GONNA pay. so at this point i'm completely fed up and just do it, as she's STILL being rude. so i message blake, once again letting him know the clearly messed up situation and he BLOCKS ME! i will not be going there again and i highly recommend nobody else does either. the rudeness and ridiculousness of this situation amazes me. i don't always have extra money so when i do, i like to get my nails done. so i'm beyond pissed, excuse my language. 65$ to someone who messed up my nails in the first place! Ok so there are mixed reviews about this place but I decided to give it a chance. I was sorely disappointed for my efforts. When I showed up I was the only one there and they were cleaning the shop, and at first no one approached me after I stood around for approximately 5 minutes. I asked someone there if they were open and minded doing a pedicure (this was at 7pm on a weekday where their hours are until 9). The gentlemen there just didn't seem at all excited to have my business. But once I sat down it was fine. I was asked if I was comfortable and struck up a very pleasurable conversation with the young man doing my pedicure. I was pleased with the job he did as he was doing it and even tipped extra because I thought he did a great job. However I received this pedicure on Monday night and as of Tuesday the polish was already chipped on most of my toes. I paid $27 (plus tip) and I am not an unreasonable person, but a pedicure should last much longer than a day. I am so bitterly disappointed. Don't waste your time here, go to Kim's nails in Blacksburg. She's amazing. read more

At Nail Trix in the New River Valley Mall Christiansburg Virginia I received service that was beyond rude. It was mean. And the owner seemed to gain pleasure in being so mean that I would identify it as bullying. If you don't want to encounter this while having a manicure, pedicure or other service, NEVER go to this establishment. I am a mother, business owner and full time employee. I believe in treating others with respect and kindness. Being mean is unacceptable. Bullying is appalling. When I went to pay for my service at the counter, I handed over my card and the individual checking me out looked me in the eyes, raised his eyebrows, then picked up a pair of nail clippers and proceeded to clip his nails while I stood and waited. I suppose this was a control tactic. A way for him to show me that he was in charge, was going to continue the rude behavior, and there was nothing I could do about it. I was going to let the previous rude behavior go (everybody has a bad day, right? And I had experienced rudeness here before.) But after this happened I said to him that I had been there a few times before, and felt I was treated particularly rudely during this visit. My statement was justified. His response was "I don't care". Those were the exact words he said to me. That was rude and sort of mean. But then he continued by making multiple comments, meant to make me feel uncomfortable and intimidate, as I was signing my sales slip. So, I decided to write down the name and phone number of the business thinking I would later contact the owner. I asked him who the owner was. He said "ME". I asked him if I could please have his name. He said "I am not giving it to you and I don't have to". As I left the business, an employee nodded to me and the "owner" ran over to him and said "Don't you give her my name". Well, I suppose that you are trying to hide your name because, really, you must know treating people the way you did is completely unacceptable. You should be ashamed.
