Towards the end of my nails, she put cuticle oil on just to wipe it off with a paper towel.. she did not clean up the edges, extra skin, and the nails were uneven feeling and they started catching on everything. I immediately stopped her because that method could have severely damaged my nail--it's painful, unsafe, and completely unprofessional. She then tried to convince me again, saying that removing the acrylic the proper way would take "too long." At that point, I asked her to stop the service and requested if someone else could do my nails. She became visibly upset and started speaking loudly in her native language while walking back and forth across the salon. Her behavior made me feel embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable. The entire experience felt rude and unprofessional. Thankfully, another technician stepped in and finished the job the proper way, which I appreciated. (I used to bring my mother there as well as she lived the pampering treatment...unfortunately she recently passed away.) The behavior of the owner, Kim, was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. I had an appointment for a manicure and pedicure and clearly told Kim I needed to leave shortly after 2 PM. Despite this, she insisted she could complete both services. As the appointment progressed, it became clear that we would not finish in time and I subtly reminded Kim that we were running short on time. Kim then had her daughter assist by working on my feet while Kim did my hands. During this time, they spoke in their own language right in front of me, including comments about my nails and scars on my feet, which I found extremely rude and disrespectful. The polish I initially chose did not provide full coverage (how would I know this, they are the nail professionals they should've let me know that prior to applying the polish). When I requested a different color, Kim's daughter located a slightly darker shade of blue polish and applied it on top of the first coat, creating excessively thick nails that looked unnatural and unappealing (like chiclet's). My hands were also poorly finished, with uneven sparkles and ridges, and Kim blamed me for "rushing" her. The following day, I called to have the issues corrected. Kim was friendly and initially agreed to fix my nails but then rescheduled a few times, each with delays and tense interactions, when I arrived for my 3 o'clock appointment, I had to wait 40 minutes while she finished with the customer she was working on. I'll also add that while I was waiting, she spoke in a low voice to that customer, letting that customer know that I rushed her a few days ago and that's why she had to redo my nails, I guess she thought I couldn't hear her, but I heard her very loud and clear!!! When she finally redid my nails, she displayed clear frustration and made me feel unwelcome and belittled. By the end of the second visit, she refused to address my thick, poor-quality pedicure, sending me home dissatisfied. While I was waiting for my ride to pick me up, Kim began working on the next customer which was a 12 year old girl and to sum it up Kim did not finish her nails the way the mother had asked for them to be done, the girl was not happy and quite upset. Then Kim began with her unprofessional behaviour and started talking about the customers in her own language and then said "I will take it off if you don't like" , having her "a little 5 year old temper tantrum". In conclusion, my nails started chipping and bending within two days due to the poor quality and workmanship--and I now have to get them redone elsewhere. Additionally, Kim's daughter was rude and unprofessional, and I witnessed her treating other clients inappropriately. This experience was deeply disappointing, especially after years of loyalty to this salon. I strongly urge (You) management to address these serious issues with yourself and the staff's (primarily the owner's daughter) lack of professionalism, communication (English), and service quality so that future clients do not endure the same disrespectful and substandard experience.
