I've been here several times. Manicure and pedicure for $35- not a bad deal. Mani alone is $12. The technicians do a decent job, truly this place should get a 3.5 as it is a little over average. My main issue is the amount of time they take. A manicure can easily take 45+ minutes and done even think of doing a pedi during your lunch hour. If it wasn't for that, I would rate this place at least a four, for decent service, great prices and good color selection. I will keep coming back because they do a good job at a low price, but I've learned not to come when on a time crunch. read more

The lady and staff were really nice, please let that be noted! However, I've gone twice now to get my eyebrows waxed and both times I've left with obvious hair remaining. They have burned me once and made me bleed once. I wouldn't recommend letting them wax your eyebrows, as they are just terrible at it. read more

I decided to give it a try because of the location (walking distance for me), but I decided to stay a loyal customer because of their quality of work and prices. What I got: gel manicure and deluxe pedicure This was my 2nd time here and I really like it. I read the ratings and saw people were upset about a couple of things so I watched every step this time closely to see if they were right. After this experience, I think they must have read the reviews and fixed anything that was mentioned because I got a GREAT gel manicure, I sat in the massage chairs for both the manicure and pedicure, my pedicure looks and felt amazing, and I really enjoyed my experience. I was there an hour and a half but that's been standard in my experience and I prefer it to be that amount of time because they're taking their time on my experience and the quality AND it's more relaxing. I really am very dissatisfied, disappointed with this nail salon. I went in on Saturday and had a french manicure and later that day My manicure was already falling off I was very upset about that. So I went back on Sunday 12/10/17 and took my fallen manicure the gentleman took a picture of them to show to the lady that did them. Well come Monday again I have the same issue so to say the least I am very upset. I am not sure what type of polish they are using that it is no good it was a waste of my money and time. I go to this place fairly regularly and usually I am incredibly pleased with the result. The price is really good (like $30 for mani/pedi). I have really dry feet that get super gross when I wear heels, it just is really hard on my skin and calluses form quickly. This place charges an extra five dollars for "callus removal" but damn, those ladies aren't afraid to remove every bit of excess skin on your feet. That's what I'm looking for when I get a pedicure, someone who is not going to half ass the scrubbing portion. That being said, I went today and I got a new guy that I've never seen there before. He did a good job with the aforementioned callus removal, but he was clearly a student. He was slow as Christmas with the cuticle trimming, but he did a good job overall. Then at the end he came over and asked me to sign my name on his list to show that he had done my pedicure. I asked if he was a student and he said he was certified. Maybe so, but I'm sure he was in some sort of training phase. I like to get in and get out so I didn't appreciate being the guinea pig in this case. I was in the area and really needed a pedicure, so I decided to try them out...without reading yelp reviews...which almost always bites me in the a$$! My overall experience wasn't *that bad* but I wouldn't return based on my experience either. I was greeted....er, asked what I wanted, as soon as I walked in the door. They didn't indicate there was a wait time, so I picked my color and they told me to have a seat in a pedi spa chair. They ran the foot bath water and helped me turn on the massage chair. I didn't keep track of time - maybe 20 minutes later - I had to ask them to give me warmer water because it was now cold. Not too long after they refreshed the water, a man came from the back to do my pedicure. I wasn't in a rush, so I wasn't bothered by the wait. However, it was odd to me that other customers who came in after me were given such variations in time before they could wait on them. Some people were told to come back in an hour, 30 minutes, or that they could be helped then. There was no pattern to the responses and they were provided within minutes of the prior response when the same number of customers were still being serviced. Just seemed a little odd to me. The man who gave me the pedi was not very good. While I love a lot of pressure with my massages, he was just all over the place. He rubbed SUPER hard when he put an exfoliating mask on my legs. So much that it almost burned. Then, when it came time for the massage/hot stones, he basically just moved his hands/hot stones up and down my legs/feet without actually doing anything. The pedi I selected I think was the deluxe/higher end option. There was not much to it. I even asked prior to selecting this option how long the massage lasted and he said 10 minutes. I could tell that their mission at this salon was to see as many clients as possible. Hell, maybe that's the mission at every spa, but if can give me a damn good pedicure, I will tip you well above 20% AND keep coming back to you. I would think repeat well-paying customers would be the goal. I really didn't want to tip, but I ended up giving about 15% because I can't be that person that doesn't tip. Bottom line: if you're just there to quickly get in and out or the chair and on with your life - book an appointment and they'll get to you quickly. Do not go to this nail salon!!! This is the worst ever!!! The powder was so clear and cheap looking.. The guy that did my nail didn't know what he was doing! Finally when he finished my nails I picked out a gel color, he put 3 coats of Gel on my nails and, then got it all on my cuticles and it looked all bumpy and ugly!!!! I complained right away about it, then he Took like a half an hour to file the gel off!! At this point I'm just over my whole experience there I've never in my life had somebody put gel on my cuticles and then was trying to file off the gel with a little file machine on my cuticles.. I was like no that hurts!!!!!!! So I finally just wanted to get out of there!!!! I picked a regular nail polish color and just had him paint my nails..Then about an hour after I got out of their one of my nails broke, so please do not ever go to this nail salon!!! Under new management since Feb. I was walking by and decided to have a pedicure....Ken did it. AMAZING....the best I have ever had!! My daughter also had a pedicure... with designs....lovely! THE STAFF WERE SO WONDERFUL! I did witness 2 people come in and say they would like a Pedicure and even after the staff ran the water ... the woman said "I will be back in 10 mins" and never showed up. Nail selection is so poor and the job they do is awful, my nails are uneven and they didn't even file them straight... Getting a manicure? Don't expect a massage but you sure pay for it after I was done with my manicure, she then charged me 5 extra dollars for a top coat, ummm what???? I said you didn't tell me to get a top coat was 5 extra dollars...she said she did when she in fact did not. One of the worst manicures I have received. I asked for them to take off my dip mani and do a regular mani/polish. The technician was extremely rushed and was super aggressive with the electric file; so much so that it wore multiple nails too thin and was very painful. 3 people walked in while I was getting my nails done, and they told each of them it would be a 10 min wait, but all three technicians had just begun on new customers and they all ended up waiting far longer than promised. This caused my technician to rush through my mani. My friend and I requested the same service and I was finished over 30 min before her. My nails are all different lengths and the polish was not applied evenly. Definitely will not be returning and do not recommend at all. read more

This was the worst nail experience of my life. I actually walked into Nail Zone because i was in close proximity to the gym where I had just worked out. When I walked in, three employees were sitting on the couch talking to each other. They did not even say hello. So, I asked if I could get a refill and how much. They said $17. I was stunned by this low price- and asked if they were sure and showed them my nails (I needed two colors done for my refill). As I sat down I casually asked if it had been busy. The man replies sharply, "YES!" in a very defensive manner. Then he asked if I was from around here. I replied I was and just commented that I hadn't been to their nail salon before. He wasn't finished. He asked if I was from Germany. He said anyone who was local would know this is the Galleria area and of course they're busy. He continues to go on and on and says it's always busy and continues to explain how busy it is. I was starting to get irritated. My nails were grown out a little and he asked if I wanted them to be cut. I replied yes. He immediately proceeds to shorten them with the dremmel. When I asked him why he was shortening them that way , he said "everyone do different." So when he saw my nails he then said, two color, we do for 30 dollars. I looked at him and said I thought you said 17? Well, then they "compromised" and charged 28. I didn't come into a nail salon to bargain for nails. I just wanted to get my nails done, in an hour, be treated decently and left relatively happy. Well then, he began painting the white. It couldn't have been thicker or any more uneven. It looked terrible. When I said something, another lady came to his rescue and replied- "he do by hand! Not perfect!" It continued to get worse. When I realized this was not a good nail job, I said I didn't care for the thickness of the pink. They replied, "fine! We cut them off. You go somewhere else." I was shamed into staying there although I should have left. After, get this, an hour and 45 minutes, they were finally done. That is way too long for a two-color refill. The man continued to talk about how busy they were. I told him to stop and that his comments were enough. Then he remarked he didn't speak English good like black people and said something about how he's not the president and didn't get votes like Obama. What?! I had NO idea where he was going with this. So after finishing, I paid and left. It is now 2 days later and my nails are SO incredibly thick. The nails are already peeling up and the cuticle from my nail is sore from where he rubbed it with the dremmel. I was particularly upset because I just got engaged and will be returning to school soon (I'm a teacher) and when we have our first faculty meeting, they're going to want to see my hands. So, what they'll see is a beautiful ring and a thick pair of nails that I can't wait to grow out. Please don't go to this place if you know what's good for your beautiful hands. Hubby and I had half an hour between lunch and picking up kiddo from a friend's house, so we walked over here from Dimassi's. Wasn't sure what to think at first - pretty empty, no frills and some dated photos on the wall (dated enough the nail fashions are coming back). And I won't lie, the pedicures there are no frills either, but let me tell you what - for every crummy place I got where they run some lukewarm rocks on my calfs or scald my toes with wax, most of the time I walk out with greasy feet and imperfect toenails.
