While I was impressed with cleanliness of the salon; however, some members of the salon staff and some of clientel re very judgemental, nasty and like to spread gossip about paying customers who are transgender. The owner seems to condone transphobic behavior. I think the owner and the support staff should be trained on Milwaukee County's public accommodations ordinance which includes gender identity as a protected characteristic. I have never had a bad experience here and all the technicians spend a good chunk of time on their work making sure your nails are PERFECT. 5/5/23: First and last time at this establishment. BEWARE and stay away. I'll never in life go to this 'establishment' and will make sure that EVERYONE that I know is aware of the lack of professionalism here. Know that if their WiFi goes down you will not be able to pay with any kind of credit card. WiFi went down today....I was told that I could pay via Venmo or cashapp. I told the UNPROFESSIONAL staff person that I had cashapp and could do it that way. So then the staff calls someone and tells me that CASHAPP isn't something that they have. So I had to leave and go to an ATM. This isn't even the worst part. I went to this 'establishment' for a manicure and a pedicure. The manicure is one of the worst I've had in my entire adult life. I request a powder dip for manicure. I get this for a very specific reason: SO THAT I DON'T HAVE TO EXPOSE MY HANDS TO THE LED LIGHT. Each time I've gotten it, I've NEVER had to put my hands under the light! So TODAY the nail tech that knows limited English (giving me like warm water when I asked 3x for hot and never got the hot water for the pedicure). Due to the language barrier, other staff members had to repeat things to her or help us communicate what type of service I wanted (even when trying to pay). Nail tech puts a GEL polish on my nails as the finish then prods my hands to the LED lamp... what?! No. I verbalize my concerns to what I learned was someone that didn't have the mental capacity OR enough professional decorum to handle the situation. What she was able to do though? Hover over me like a helicopter...when I asked if she was looking for something she claims she was trying to look at my nails. Common Sense: you could've asked to see my nails, I would've shown them. What did this nonprofessional staff person have time for? To argue me down in front of her so called 'customers'. Are you REALLY arguing over MY personal space? She was a walking/talking joke. What did she also have time for? To give INACCURATE information as to how I could pay for the lack of service I did get today. In a word: BITCH. read more

Nope. Prices on website are far outdated and barriers to communication cost me over $30 extra even after bringing this up. Premium pedicure, but calluses weren't removed and massage was weak. For the manicure, I provided a photo of a natural-looking pink and white ombre design with a sport/flat tip. Manicurist began to cut pointed tip and had to file nails back when mistake was caught. Instead of a natural look, I was given a pink dip that was not natural-looking at all (she offered to cover up all of the ombre with a solid shellac color). One nail was malformed, two others had bumps and all of the nails are very thick and fake-looking. When I tried to communicate any fix, it was misunderstood each time. I felt like she just wanted me out of the chair. I left a good tip for both techs, but I am sad to say my business here is done. That was so much money to be left disappointed on my once per year treat. read more

I had an appointment with KIM for a fill (She did the original full set) and she was 30 minutes late. When she arrived, she did not apologize for her tardiness, she just said "hello" and requests that I sit in her chair. I informed her that 2 of my nails were cracked from the original set, and requested that she lay the acrylic thicker to ensure that it does not crack again. I was expecting her to mend the crack nails so that I would not have to deal with cracking nails again. She did not mend the nails and when I asked her if they'd crack again, her response was "I don't know, I laid the acrylic thicker this time". I left the appointment and less than 24 hours later, the nails cracked. I returned to the shop 2 days later to inform her that the nails I told her about days prior cracked and she needed to fix them. She removed the nails and replaced them with new ones, she did not inform me that there would be a charge associated with the "repair". As I was getting up to leave, she stated that I needed to pay $20 for nails that she did not correct the first time around. I was frustrated, but I paid the money and informed her in a calm tone that I would never come back to her, she responded by stating that she would refuse service from me because she didn't like my attitude . She raised her voice, I asked her not to yell and she stated that that's the way she talks so I got loud with her too. I was apprehensive about going to her because I have heard about her terrible attitude. I didn't want to deal with her but I assumed that she matured over the years and her attitude changed. BOY WAS I WRONG. While KIM does good work, her attitude is absolutely awful and she cannot take constructive feedback. She is unprofessional and needs to find another line of work that will bring her greater joy. No customer should be subjected to that kind of treatment. From a customer service perspective, I DO NOT RECOMMEND KIM. She has had a terrible attitude. Nailistic, your customers fund your business so you need to ensure that you retain them by providing good customer service and hiring the right nail technicians. read more

I had good service while I was there, but I had to redo a nail after a few days. I went around my normal routine that normally doesn't cause any early chipping and I got the dip powder, which is supposed to last for 3 weeks. Now dip manicures aren't cheap so I was disappointed in the quality of it and that I had to go back right away. They fixed it right away though. read more

When I walked in I got a warming welcome but I noticed that you wouldn't know how much it will cost to get your Medicure when I asked how much it will cost to get in ombre full set her answer was "it depends on who you get and how much they will charge you". I noticed that they raise the price is higher than normal but it wasn't taxes it was just them raising the prices because they wanted to. It's nothing for a nail tech to be providing a service for you and then stop abruptly in the middle of servicing you to take care of someone else, without asking. it's a shame because I really liked this place. I decided to give this place a shot and wasn't impressed. I went for a pedicure and a dip manicure. The pedi was nice, and the nail tech was pleasant, great experience overall! But, the dip manicure didn't come close to lasting two weeks. The manicurist seemed annoyed to be doing a dip manicure and she made a comment that it has too many steps or takes too long. The only other effort she made to communicate with me was to give me a weird look because my hand wasn't relaxed enough for her. What can I say? Friendly and professional staff, clean, and they did a great job. I called for an appointment on a Friday afternoon and they got me in right away. They have nice chairs with massage that seem relatively new -- they actually work when you change the settings! -- and the bath for my feet was nice and warm. This is by far the friendliest and hygienic nail salons that I have been to. All of the employees are friendly and they only speak English. I don't know about you, but there is nothing worst then sitting there for an hour and thinking that the help is talking about you. Yes, it is a bit more expensive but everything is super clean. My little ladies get polish changes and love the cute designs. My husband even comes in and will enjoy a relaxing pedicure with me. The business here is ridiculous. I got a full set on my hands which was $55. Normal. Then full set on my feet- $95... excuse me?! First off she never explained it would be extra second if I'm getting a full set than you charge for the set or you charge for a pedicure and a little extra for the acrylic. Not for both services. The staff there were no help at all and very rude stating I don't understand, no I understand completely you charged me for two services. Also you use cheese graters which I thought wasn't permitted anymore, but what do I know. I took my mom for a birthday pedicure, though a bit skeptical during covid we tried this place out. I wouldn't recommend it. No one in the salon seemed happy to be at work. We took a survey, other people's surveys who had been there that morning were laying all over for the world to see, also Our temperatures were taken and turned out to be 94.5 and 95.5??? Somethings wrong with that temperature reader for sure so that was red flags. I sat and waited for a pedicure the entire time my mom got her nails done. My water was cold by the time my pedicure started which was unfortunate, because when I walked in I was ready for a manicure pedicure but by the time my pedicure started I took that off of their to-do list. The good and the bad...The good - the woman who did my nails was friendly, careful and did a really nice job. They offer water, soda and juice and the salon is very clean and bright. The bad - I arrived on time for my appointment, waited 22 minutes (the technician did apologize for the wait). The tech didn't have me soak my nails, she just used cuticle lotion. Their posted pricing menu reads that as of April, 2018 they will no longer give discounts for cash. I payed for my $20 manicure with a $20 bill and wasn't given change. When I asked about it the receptionist said they're now only giving a cash discount if you check in with Instagram or Facebook at the start of your service. Sorry, not acceptable. read more

It was my first time getting acrylic nails. I struggle pretty bad with dermatillomania (obsessive skin picking) around my finger nails. So of course I was super embarrassed to have someone work on me. But Yuri was efficient and made me feel comfortable. Having these extended nails really is helping, it's almost impossible to pick at myself now. Im feeling less ashamed of myself. I have been to Nailistic three times and feel it is one of the best in Milwaukee. They are very focused on sanitation and cleanliness not only in the store, but also with the utencils that they use. First off, walking in I had such a warm welcome. The place is beautifully decorated, so clean, and has a pleasant smell. My first service was the platinum pedicure(I can't remember the name of my lady but I'm pretty sure it started with a "P". She got me a beverage, made sure I was comfortable, and even plugged my dying phone in for me! My feet are in pretty rough shape due to my workout schedule but she took her time and did an amazing job! My feet were completely transformed! The second service I got was a full set of acrylics with gel color by Yuri. She is so OCD when it comes to nails and I LOVE IT. I didn't have one bubble, uneven surface, gunk under my nail, hair, or any flaw of that sort on my nails. She made sure to ask if I liked something or not multiple times which I don't get usually.
