I went because I'm in town for a class had some downtime and wanted to relax I sat in the pedicure chair and the pedicure itself was ok but when I picked the milk and honey pedicure it clearly says on the menu $30 I was charged $47 with explanation as to why my total had gone up .... plus the employees kept talking the entire pedicure it was hard to relax .... I have been wanting to try this place out and was pleasantly surprised. I went in at noon on a Saturday praying that the wait for a pedi would not be too long. I went in and there were a few empty chairs, so no wait time, and the technician started my pedicure promptly. The technicians are very friendly, but not overly talkative or trying to learn every detail of your personal life. The technician took her time and did a great job; the pedi lasted about an hour. I'm very particular about my manicures and I've been looking all over Houston for a proper nail salon, but most of the ones I go to either shape my nails wrong, do an uneven job with the polish, or mess up my sensitive cuticles. ZERO STARS I needed to get my nails filled and decided to book an appointment with this place (my regular nail salon is a little bit of a drive) I had not but walked more than 3 steps into the salon and I was being yelled at by the lady owner to leave because they are full and had no time for me. All while waving her arms and hands motioning me to leave, as if shewing a nasty fly away. As I was standing there in awe (with everyone starring and all eyes on me) and trying to grasp an understanding of what was going on. As she continued to yell at me, I proceeded to tell that I HAVE an appointment. To which she responded with "what time?, go pick a color and sit there" (yes, she didn't even check her book schedule). What ever happened to "hi, how can I help you?". As I was sitting there waiting for my nail technician, I couldn't help but notice that the room was full of women getting pedicures and I was the only person of color. I also couldn't help but notice how attentive and polite the same lady was to all her other paying customers. I was racking my brain wondering as to why I was being treated so rudely. The only thoughts that came to mind were, she was having a bad day or I was being racially profiled. I really didn't want to believe this, but then my thoughts were confirmed. About 5 mins into my appointment, a lady walks in (white, with no appointment). She/they politely asked her what she needed done and sat her promptly. I still didn't want to believe what was actually happening right in front of me. Until the next three ladies (white, with no appointment) were nicely greeted and told that they were a bit busy and if they didn't mind waiting 10-15 mins . I was absolutely shocked. I didn't even get a "hi". I had never been so obviously profiled and treated like that in my life! I am a young professional who takes great pride in my exterior image so I know that was not the issue. I know in my heart that it was the color of my skin that was not being accepted. I guess they are trying to keep a certain type of standard. The girl that did my nails was nice but she was rushing the job. As she was doing my nails, they were not coming out the same shape or length. I had to ask her multiple times if she could fix it. I could tell she was not paying attention and was rushing to get me out. I've had my nails done long enough to know when someone's not doing a good job. When I got home I asked my husband if he likes my nails. His first response "they look crooked." And that's with me guiding her. Needless to say, I will not be going back or recommending this place. UPDATE: a bunch of nails broke the next week. I went to my original salon to get them fixed. I ended up having to remove all my gel nails because they were poorly done. read more

Do yourself a favor and go to Nail'ori for your next manicure and pedicure!! OMG just the complimentary massage that is included is worth the trip! I have been to many nail spas in Houston and this is by far the best!! Everything is extremely clean and I like that they use clean plastic liners in the pedicure bowls. Everyone is so friendly and eager to please. I am extremely sensitive and usually experience some kind of pain during my manicure and pedicure but not here. They are very careful to make it a pleasant experience. The only drawback can be parking if you go around lunch time as there are several restaurants in this strip center. Spoil yourself and have a glass of wine and enjoy the fabulous massage as well as the excellent nail services. read more
